Romans 3
1 What advantage then has the Jew, or what profit has circumcision?
Nanga kodi pali ubwino wotani pokhala Myuda, kapena muli ubwino wanjinso mu mdulidwe?
2 Much in every respect; but chiefly that the oracles of God were intrusted to them.
Ubwino wake ndi wambiri mʼnjira zonse! Choyambirira iwo anapatsidwa Mawu a Mulungu kuti awasunge.
3 What, indeed, if some have been unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness overthrow the faithfulness of God?
Nanga zili bwanji ngati ena analibe chikhulupiriro? Kodi kupanda chikhulupiriro kwawo kukanalepheretsa kukhulupirika kwa Mulungu?
4 It can not be. But let God be true, though every man be a liar, as it is written: That thou mightest be justified in thy words, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Ayi. Mʼnjira iliyonse ayi! Mulungu akhale woona, ndi munthu aliyense akhale wonama. Monga kwalembedwa kuti, “Kotero kuti inu mwapezeka kuti ndinu wolungama pamene muyankhula ndi kupambana pamene muweruza.”
5 But if our unrighteousness causes the righteousness of God to be better known, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous, who inflicts punishment? I speak as a man.
Koma ngati kuyipa mtima kwathu kuonetsa poyera kuti Mulungu ndi wolungama, ife tinganene chiyani? Kodi tinganene kuti Mulungu ndi wosalungama pamene aonetsa mkwiyo wake pa ife? (Ine ndikuyankhula monga mmene anthu ena amayankhulira).
6 It can not be: for if so, how shall God judge the world?
Ayi. Mʼnjira iliyonse ayi! Ngati zikanakhala zotero, kodi Mulungu akanaweruza bwanji dziko lapansi?
7 Yet, if the truth of God has, through my lie, been greatly advanced to his glory, why am I still judged as a sinner?
Wina atanena kuti, “Ngati kunama kwanga kukuonetsa koposa kuti Mulungu ndi woona, ndi kuwonjezera pa ulemerero wake, nanga nʼchifukwa chiyani ndikuweruzidwa kuti ndine wochimwa?”
8 Then, why not say, (as we are slanderously reported as saying, and, as some affirm, that we do say, ) Let us do evil, that good may come? Of such persons the condemnation is just.
Nʼchifukwa chiyani osanena kuti, monga ena amanena mosasamala kuti, “Tiyeni tichite zoyipa kuti zabwino zionekere?” Anthu onena zoterewa kulangidwa kwawo ndi koyenera.
9 What then? Do we, Jews, excel? Not at all: for we have already convicted all, both Jews and Greeks, of being under sin,
Kodi timalize bwanji? Kodi Ayuda ndife oposa anthu ena? Ayi. Mʼnjira iliyonse ayi! Ife tinanena kale kuti Ayuda ndi a mitundu ina omwe ndi ochimwa.
10 as it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one;
Monga kwalembedwa kuti, “Palibe munthu wolungama, inde palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe.
11 there is none that understands; there is none that seeks after God;
Palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe amene amazindikira, palibe amene amafunafuna Mulungu.
12 they have all turned out of the way; they have alike become unprofitable; there is none that does good, not even one;
Onse apatukira kumbali, onse pamodzi asanduka opandapake. Palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe amene amachita zabwino, palibe ngakhale mmodzi.”
13 their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips;
“Kummero kwawo kuli ngati manda apululu; ndi lilime lawo amayankhula zachinyengo.” “Ululu wa mamba uli pa milomo yawo.”
14 their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness;
“Mʼkamwa mwawo ndi modzaza ndi zotemberera ndi mawu owawa.”
15 their feet are swift to shed blood;
“Mapazi awo afulumira kukakhetsa magazi.
16 destruction and misery are in their ways;
Kusakaza ndi chisoni kumaonekera mʼnjira zawo,
17 and the way of peace they have not known;
ndipo njira ya mtendere sayidziwa.”
18 there is no fear of God before their eyes.
“Saopa Mulungu ndi pangʼono pomwe.”
19 Now we know that what the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world become guilty before God.
Tsopano tikudziwa kuti chilichonse Malamulo amanena, amanena kwa amene amalamulidwa ndi Malamulowo, ndi cholinga chakuti aliyense asowe chonena, ndipo dziko lonse lidzayimbidwa mlandu ndi Mulungu.
20 Wherefore, by works of law, no flesh shall be justified in his sight; for by law is the knowledge of sin.
Chifukwa chake palibe mmodzi amene adzayesedwa wolungama pamaso pake chifukwa chosunga Malamulo, kuti ife timazindikira tchimo kupyolera mu Malamulo.
21 But now, the righteousness of God without law is revealed, being attested by the law and the prophets;
Koma tsopano chilungamo chochokera kwa Mulungu, osati chochokera ku Malamulo, chaonetsedwa. Ichi ndi chimene Malamulo ndi Aneneri amachitira umboni.
22 I repeat it, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ, which is for all, and on all that believe; for there is no difference;
Timakhala olungama pamaso pa Mulungu pamene takhulupirira Yesu Khristu. Mulungu amachitira zimenezi anthu onse amene akhulupirira Khristu. Palibe kusiyana pakati pa Myuda ndi a mitundu ina,
23 for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,
pakuti onse anachimwa naperewera pa ulemerero wa Mulungu
24 yet may be justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;
ndipo onse alungamitsidwa mwaulere mwa chisomo chake chifukwa cha Khristu Yesu amene anawawombola.
25 whom God has set forth as a propitiatory sacrifice, through faith in his blood, in order to manifest his righteousness, in passing by the sins that were formerly committed through the forbearance of God;
Mulungu anamupereka Iyeyu kuti pokhetsa magazi ake, akhale nsembe yokhululukira machimo. Mulungu anachita zimenezi kufuna kuonetsa chilungamo chake. Chifukwa cha kuleza mtima kwake, sanalange anthu chifukwa cha machimo amene anachita kale.
26 in order to manifest his righteousness at the present time, that he might be just, while he justifies him who believes in Jesus.
Iye anachita izi kuti aonetse chilungamo chake lero lino. Anthu azindikire kuti Iye ndi wolungama ndipo amalungamitsa aliyense amene akhulupirira Yesu.
27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No; but by the law of faith.
Nanga tsono pamenepa munthu anganyadenso? Kunyadatu kwachotsedwa. Chifukwa cha Malamulo? Kodi Malamulo samafuna ntchito za munthu? Ayi, koma mwachikhulupiriro.
28 For we conclude that a man is justified by faith, without deeds of law.
Ife tikunenabe kuti munthu amalungamitsidwa mwachikhulupiriro osati mwakusunga Malamulo.
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Kodi Mulungu ndi Mulungu wa Ayuda okha? Kodi si Mulungu wa a mitundu inanso? Inde wa a mitundu inanso,
30 since there is one God, who will justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through the faith.
popeza ndi Mulungu mmodzi yemweyo amene adzalungamitsa mwachikhulupiriro ochita mdulidwe ndi osachita mdulidwe kudzera mʼchikhulupiriro chomwecho.
31 Do we, then, make law void through the faith? It can not be. On the other hand, we establish law.
Kodi tsono ife, tikutaya Malamulo pamene tikunena kuti pafunika chikhulupiriro? Ayi. Mʼnjira iliyonse ayi! Komatu ife tikukwaniritsadi Malamulo.
