Revelation 11
1 And a reed like a rod was given to me; and it was said: Rise and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it.
Alors il me fut donné un roseau semblable à une verge, et il se présenta un Ange, qui me dit: lève-toi et mesure le temple de Dieu, et l'autel, et ceux qui y adorent.
2 But the court that is without the temple leave out, and measure it not: for it is given to the Gentiles, and the holy city they shall tread under foot forty-two months.
Mais laisse à l'écart le parvis qui est hors du Temple, et ne le mesure point; car il est donné aux Gentils; et ils fouleront aux pieds la sainte Cité durant quarante-deux mois.
3 And I will give to my two witnesses, that they may prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
Mais je [la] donnerai à mes deux Témoins qui prophétiseront durant mille deux cent soixante jours, et ils seront vêtus de sacs.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two lamps that stand before the Lord of the earth.
Ceux-ci sont les deux oliviers, et les deux chandeliers, qui se tiennent en la présence du Seigneur de la terre.
5 And if any man will injure them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies; and if any one will injure them, he must be killed in this way.
Et si quelqu'un leur veut nuire, le feu sort de leur bouche, et dévore leurs ennemis; car si quelqu'un leur veut nuire, il faut qu'il soit ainsi tué.
6 These have authority to shut heaven, that it may not rain in the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over the waters, to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they wish.
Ceux-ci ont le pouvoir de fermer le ciel, afin qu'il ne pleuve point durant les jours de leur prophétie; ils ont aussi le pouvoir de changer les eaux en sang, et de frapper la terre de toutes sortes de plaies, toutes les fois qu'ils voudront.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos g12)
Et quand ils auront achevé [de rendre] leur témoignage, la bête qui monte de l'abîme leur fera la guerre, les vaincra, et les tuera; (Abyssos g12)
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which, spiritually, is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
Et leurs corps morts [seront étendus] dans les places de la grande Cité, qui est appelée spirituellement Sodome, et Egypte; où aussi notre Seigneur a été crucifié.
9 And some of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will see their dead bodies three days and a half, and will not suffer their dead bodies to be put into sepulchers.
Et ceux des Tribus, des peuples, des Langues, et des nations verront leurs corps morts durant trois jours et demi, et ils ne permettront point que leurs corps morts soient mis dans des sépulcres.
10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and make merry, and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwelt on the earth.
Et les habitants de la terre en seront tout joyeux, ils en feront des réjouissances, ils s'enverront des présents les uns aux autres; parce que ces deux Prophètes auront tourmenté ceux qui habitent sur la terre.
11 And after the three days and a half, the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon those who saw them.
Mais après ces trois jours et demi, l'Esprit de vie [venant] de Dieu entra en eux, et ils se tinrent sur leurs pieds, et une grande crainte saisit ceux qui les virent.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven, saying to them: Come up hither. And they went up into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies beheld them.
Après cela ils ouïrent une forte voix du ciel, leur disant: montez ici; et ils montèrent au ciel sur une nuée, et leurs ennemis les virent.
13 And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell; and in the earthquake there were slain names of men, seven thousand: and the rest were frightened, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Et à cette même heure-là il se fit un grand tremblement de terre; et la dixième partie de la Cité tomba, et sept mille hommes furent tués par ce tremblement de terre; et les autres furent épouvantés, et donnèrent gloire au Dieu du ciel.
14 The second woe is past: behold, the third woe comes quickly.
Le second malheur est passé; et voici, le troisième malheur viendra bientôt.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying: The kingdom of the world has become our Lord’s and his Christ’s, and he shall reign from age to age. (aiōn g165)
Le septième Ange donc sonna de la trompette, et il se fit entendre au ciel de grandes voix, qui disaient: Les Royaumes du monde sont soumis à notre Seigneur, et à son Christ, et il régnera aux siècles des siècles. (aiōn g165)
16 And the twenty-four elders that sat before God on their thrones, fell upon their faces, and worshiped God,
Alors les vingt-quatre Anciens qui sont assis devant Dieu dans leurs sièges, se prosternèrent sur leurs faces, et adorèrent Dieu,
17 saying: We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, who art, and who wast, because thou hast taken thy great power, and hast reigned.
En disant: Nous te rendons grâces, Seigneur Dieu tout-puissant, QUI ES, QUI ÉTAIS, et QUI ES A VENIR, de ce que tu as fait éclater ta grande puissance, et de ce que tu as agi en Roi.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldst give reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to those who fear thy name, both small and great, and that thou shouldst destroy those who corrupt the earth.
Les nations se sont irritées, mais ta colère est venue, et le temps des morts est venu pour être jugés, et pour donner la récompense à tes serviteurs les Prophètes, et aux Saints, et à ceux qui craignent ton Nom, petits et grands, et pour détruire ceux qui corrompent la terre.
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple, the ark of the covenant of the Lord; and there were lightnings and voices and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
Alors le Temple de Dieu fut ouvert au ciel, et l'Arche de son alliance fut vue dans son Temple; et il y eut des éclairs, des voix, des tonnerres, un tremblement de terre, et une grosse grêle.
