Matthew 25
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bride-groom.
Akkor hasonlatos lesz a mennyeknek országa ama tíz szűzhöz, a kik elővevén az ő lámpásaikat, kimenének a vőlegény elé.
2 Five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Öt pedig közülök eszes vala, és öt bolond.
3 Those who were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
A kik bolondok valának, mikor lámpásaikat elővevék, nem vivének magukkal olajat;
4 but the wise took oil in their vessels, with their lamps.
Az eszesek pedig lámpásaikkal együtt olajat vivének az ő edényeikben.
5 While the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
Késvén pedig a vőlegény, mindannyian elszunnyadának és aluvának.
6 And at midnight a cry was made: Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go you out to meet him.
Éjfélkor pedig kiáltás lőn: Ímhol jő a vőlegény! Jőjjetek elébe!
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Akkor felkelének mind azok a szűzek, és elkészíték az ő lámpásaikat.
8 And the foolish said to the wise: Give us of your oil, for our lamps are going out.
A bolondok pedig mondának az eszeseknek: Adjatok nékünk a ti olajotokból, mert a mi lámpásaink kialusznak.
9 But the wise answered, saying: Lest there may not be enough for us and you, go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.
Az eszesek pedig felelének, mondván: Netalán nem lenne elegendő nékünk és néktek; menjetek inkább az árúsokhoz, és vegyetek magatoknak.
10 While they were going to buy, the bridegroom came; and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage-supper; and the door was closed.
Mikor pedig venni járnak vala, megérkezék a vőlegény; és a kik készen valának, bemenének ő vele a menyegzőbe, és bezáraték az ajtó.
11 Afterward the other virgins also came, and said: Lord! Lord! open for us.
Később pedig a többi szűzek is megjövének, mondván: Uram! Uram! nyisd meg mi nékünk.
12 But he answered and said: Verily I say to you, I know you not.
Ő pedig felelvén, monda: Bizony mondom néktek, nem ismerlek titeket.
13 Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
Vigyázzatok azért, mert sem a napot, sem az órát nem tudjátok, a melyen az embernek Fia eljő.
14 For as a man, on leaving his country, called his own servants, and delivered to them his goods:
Mert épen úgy van ez, mint az az ember, a ki útra akarván kelni, eléhívatá az ő szolgáit, és a mije volt, átadá nékik.
15 To one he gave five talents; to another, two; and to another, one; to each one, according to his own ability, and immediately left his country.
És ada az egyiknek öt tálentomot, a másiknak kettőt, a harmadiknak pedig egyet, kinek-kinek az ő erejéhez képest; és azonnal útra kele.
16 Then he that had received the five talents, went and traded with them, and made other five talents.
Elmenvén pedig a ki az öt tálentomot kapta vala, kereskedék azokkal, és szerze más öt tálentomot.
17 In like manner also, he that had received the two, gained other two.
Azonképen a kié a kettő vala, az is más kettőt nyere.
18 But he that had received the one, went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.
A ki pedig az egyet kapta vala, elmenvén, elásá azt a földbe, és elrejté az ő urának pénzét.
19 After a long time, the lord of those servants came and settled with them.
Sok idő múlva pedig megjöve ama szolgáknak ura, és számot vete velök.
20 And he that had received the five talents came and brought other five talents, and said: Lord, you delivered to me five talents: see, I have gained other five talents in addition to them.
És előjövén a ki az öt tálentomot kapta vala, hoza más öt tálentomot, mondván: Uram, öt tálentomot adtál vala nékem; ímé más öt tálentomot nyertem azokon.
21 His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many. Enter into the joy of your lord.
Az ő ura pedig monda néki: Jól vagyon jó és hű szolgám, kevesen voltál hű, sokra bízlak ezután; menj be a te uradnak örömébe.
22 And he also that had received the two talents came, and said: Lord, you delivered to me two talents; see, I have gained other two talents in addition to them.
Előjövén pedig az is, a ki a két tálentomot kapta vala, monda: Uram, két tálentomot adtál volt nékem; ímé más két tálentomot nyertem azokon.
23 His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many. Enter into the joy of your lord.
Monda néki az ő ura: Jól vagyon jó és hű szolgám, kevesen voltál hű, sokra bízlak ezután; menj be a te uradnak örömébe.
24 But he that had received the one talent came, and said: Lord, I knew you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.
Előjövén pedig az is, a ki az egy tálentomot kapta vala, monda: Uram, tudtam, hogy te kegyetlen ember vagy, a ki ott is aratsz, a hol nem vetettél, és ott is takarsz, a hol nem vetettél;
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth; see, you have yours.
Azért félvén, elmentem és elástam a te tálentomodat a földbe; ímé megvan a mi a tied.
26 His lord answered and said to him: Wicked and slothful servant; did you know that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter?
Az ő ura pedig felelvén, monda néki: Gonosz és rest szolga, tudtad, hogy ott is aratok, a hol nem vetettem, és ott is takarok, a hol nem vetettem;
27 Therefore, you ought to have put my money with the bankers; and, when I came, I could have received my own with interest.
El kellett volna tehát helyezned az én pénzemet a pénzváltóknál; és én, megjövén, nyereséggel kaptam volna meg a magamét.
28 Therefore, take from him the talent, and give it to him that has the ten talents.
Vegyétek el azért tőle a tálentomot, és adjátok annak, a kinek tíz tálentoma van.
29 For to every one that has, it shall be given, and he shall have abundance. But from him that has not, even that which he has shall be taken away.
Mert mindenkinek, a kinek van, adatik, és megszaporíttatik; a kinek pedig nincsen, attól az is elvétetik, a mije van.
30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the darkness without. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
És a haszontalan szolgát vessétek a külső sötétségre; ott lészen sírás és fogcsikorgatás.
31 When the Son of man shall come in his own glory, and all the holy angels with him, then will he sit on the throne of his own glory;
Mikor pedig eljő az embernek Fia az ő dicsőségében, és ő vele mind a szent angyalok, akkor beül majd az ő dicsőségének királyiszékébe.
32 and all nations shall be gathered before him; and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats.
És elébe gyűjtetnek mind a népek, és elválasztja őket egymástól, miként a pásztor elválasztja a juhokat a kecskéktől.
33 And he will place the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.
És a juhokat jobb keze felől, a kecskéket pedig bal keze felől állítja.
34 Then the King will say to those on his right hand: Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
Akkor ezt mondja a király a jobb keze felől állóknak: Jertek, én Atyámnak áldottai, örököljétek ez országot, a mely számotokra készíttetett a világ megalapítása óta.
35 For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you took me to your houses;
Mert éheztem, és ennem adtatok; szomjúhoztam, és innom adtatok; jövevény voltam, és befogadtatok engem;
36 naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me.
Mezítelen voltam, és megruháztatok; beteg voltam, és meglátogattatok; fogoly voltam, és eljöttetek hozzám.
37 Then will the righteous answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and feed thee? or thirsty, and give thee drink?
Akkor felelnek majd néki az igazak, mondván: Uram, mikor láttuk, hogy éheztél, és tápláltunk volna? vagy szomjúhoztál, és innod adtunk volna?
38 When did we see thee a stranger, and take thee to our home? or naked, and clothe thee?
És mikor láttuk, hogy jövevény voltál, és befogadtunk volna? vagy mezítelen voltál, és felruháztunk volna?
39 When did we see thee sick, or in prison, and come to thee?
Mikor láttuk, hogy beteg vagy fogoly voltál, és hozzád mentünk volna?
40 And the King will answer and say to them: Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.
És felelvén a király, azt mondja majd nékik: Bizony mondom néktek, a mennyiben megcselekedtétek egygyel az én legkisebb atyámfiai közül, én velem cselekedtétek meg.
41 Then will he say to those on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. (aiōnios g166)
Akkor szól majd az ő bal keze felől állókhoz is: Távozzatok tőlem, ti átkozottak, az örök tűzre, a mely az ördögöknek és az ő angyalainak készíttetett. (aiōnios g166)
42 For I was hungry, and you gave me no food; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;
Mert éheztem, és nem adtatok ennem; szomjúhoztam, és nem adtatok innom;
43 I was a stranger, and you took me not to your houses; naked, and you did not clothe me; I was sick, and in prison, and you did not visit me.
Jövevény voltam, és nem fogadtatok be engem; mezítelen voltam, és nem ruháztatok meg engem; beteg és fogoly voltam, és nem látogattatok meg engem.
44 Then they also will answer, and say: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee?
Akkor ezek is felelnek majd néki, mondván: Uram, mikor láttuk, hogy éheztél, vagy szomjúhoztál, vagy hogy jövevény, vagy mezítelen, vagy beteg, vagy fogoly voltál, és nem szolgáltunk volna néked?
45 Then will he answer them, saying: Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.
Akkor felel majd nékik, mondván: Bizony mondom néktek, a mennyiben nem cselekedtétek meg egygyel eme legkisebbek közül, én velem sem cselekedtétek meg.
