Matthew 1
1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
இப்³ராஹீம: ஸந்தாநோ தா³யூத்³ தஸ்ய ஸந்தாநோ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்தஸ்ய பூர்வ்வபுருஷவம்’ஸ²ஸ்²ரேணீ|
2 Abraham begot Isaac: Isaac begot Jacob: Jacob begot Judah and his brothers:
இப்³ராஹீம: புத்ர இஸ்ஹாக் தஸ்ய புத்ரோ யாகூப்³ தஸ்ய புத்ரோ யிஹூதா³ஸ்தஸ்ய ப்⁴ராதரஸ்²ச|
3 Judah begot Phares and Zarah of Thamar: Phares begot Hezron: Hezron begot Aram:
தஸ்மாத்³ யிஹூதா³தஸ்தாமரோ க³ர்பே⁴ பேரஸ்ஸேரஹௌ ஜஜ்ஞாதே, தஸ்ய பேரஸ: புத்ரோ ஹிஷ்ரோண் தஸ்ய புத்ரோ (அ)ராம்|
4 Aram begot Aminidab: Aminidab begot Nahshon: Nahshon begot Salmon:
தஸ்ய புத்ரோ (அ)ம்மீநாத³ப்³ தஸ்ய புத்ரோ நஹஸோ²ந் தஸ்ய புத்ர: ஸல்மோந்|
5 Salmon begot Boa of Rachab: Boaz begot Obed of Ruth: Obed begot Jesse:
தஸ்மாத்³ ராஹபோ³ க³ர்பே⁴ போ³யம் ஜஜ்ஞே, தஸ்மாத்³ ரூதோ க³ர்பே⁴ ஓபே³த்³ ஜஜ்ஞே, தஸ்ய புத்ரோ யிஸ²ய: |
6 Jesse begot David the king: David the king begot Solomon of her who had been the wife of Uriah:
தஸ்ய புத்ரோ தா³யூத்³ ராஜ: தஸ்மாத்³ ம்ரு’தோரியஸ்ய ஜாயாயாம்’ ஸுலேமாந் ஜஜ்ஞே|
7 Solomon begot Rehoboam: Rehoboam begot Abia: Abia begot Asa:
தஸ்ய புத்ரோ ரிஹபி³யாம், தஸ்ய புத்ரோ(அ)பி³ய: , தஸ்ய புத்ர ஆஸா: |
8 Asa begot Jehosaphat: Jehosaphat begot Jehoram: Jehoram begot Uzziah:
தஸ்ய ஸுதோ யிஹோஸா²ப²ட் தஸ்ய ஸுதோ யிஹோராம தஸ்ய ஸுத உஷிய: |
9 Uzziah begot Jotham: Jotham begot Ahaz: Ahaz begot Hezekiah:
தஸ்ய ஸுதோ யோத²ம் தஸ்ய ஸுத ஆஹம் தஸ்ய ஸுதோ ஹிஷ்கிய: |
10 Hezekiah begot Manasseh: Manasseh begot Amon: Amon begot Josiah:
தஸ்ய ஸுதோ மிநஸி²: , தஸ்ய ஸுத ஆமோந் தஸ்ய ஸுதோ யோஸி²ய: |
11 Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers, about the time of the removal to Babylon.
பா³பி³ல்நக³ரே ப்ரவஸநாத் பூர்வ்வம்’ ஸ யோஸி²யோ யிக²நியம்’ தஸ்ய ப்⁴ராத்ரும்’’ஸ்²ச ஜநயாமாஸ|
12 And after the removal to Babylon, Jeconiah begot Shealtiel: Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel:
ததோ பா³பி³லி ப்ரவஸநகாலே யிக²நிய: ஸ²ல்தீயேலம்’ ஜநயாமாஸ, தஸ்ய ஸுத: ஸிருப்³பா³வில்|
13 Zerubbabel begot Abiud: Abiud begot Eliakim: Eliakim begot Azor:
தஸ்ய ஸுதோ (அ)போ³ஹுத்³ தஸ்ய ஸுத இலீயாகீம் தஸ்ய ஸுதோ(அ)ஸோர்|
14 Azor begot Sadok: Sadok begot Achim: Achim begot Eliud:
அஸோர: ஸுத: ஸாதோ³க் தஸ்ய ஸுத ஆகீ²ம் தஸ்ய ஸுத இலீஹூத்³|
15 Eliud begot Eleazar: Eleazar begot Matthan: Matthan begot Jacob:
தஸ்ய ஸுத இலியாஸர் தஸ்ய ஸுதோ மத்தந்|
16 Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
தஸ்ய ஸுதோ யாகூப்³ தஸ்ய ஸுதோ யூஷப்² தஸ்ய ஜாயா மரியம்; தஸ்ய க³ர்பே⁴ யீஸு²ரஜநி, தமேவ க்²ரீஷ்டம் (அர்தா²த்³ அபி⁴ஷிக்தம்’) வத³ந்தி|
17 So all the generations from Abraham till David are fourteen generations: and from David till the removal to Babylon are fourteen generations: and from the removal to Babylon till the Christ are fourteen generations.
இத்த²ம் இப்³ராஹீமோ தா³யூத³ம்’ யாவத் ஸாகல்யேந சதுர்த³ஸ²புருஷா: ; ஆ தா³யூத³: காலாத்³ பா³பி³லி ப்ரவஸநகாலம்’ யாவத் சதுர்த³ஸ²புருஷா ப⁴வந்தி| பா³பி³லி ப்ரவாஸநகாலாத் க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய காலம்’ யாவத் சதுர்த³ஸ²புருஷா ப⁴வந்தி|
18 But Jesus Christ was begotten thus: After his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they had come together, she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit.
யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஜந்ம கத்²த²தே| மரியம் நாமிகா கந்யா யூஷபே² வாக்³த³த்தாஸீத், ததா³ தயோ: ஸங்க³மாத் ப்ராக் ஸா கந்யா பவித்ரேணாத்மநா க³ர்ப⁴வதீ ப³பூ⁴வ|
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not choosing to make an example of her, intended to put her away privately.
தத்ர தஸ்யா: பதி ர்யூஷப்² ஸௌஜந்யாத் தஸ்யா: கலங்க³ம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யிதும் அநிச்ச²ந் கோ³பநேநே தாம்’ பாரித்யக்தும்’ மநஸ்²சக்ரே|
20 But while he was thinking of these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying: Joseph, son of David, fear not to take home Mary your wife; for that which is begotten in her is of the Holy Spirit.
ஸ ததை²வ பா⁴வயதி, ததா³நீம்’ பரமேஸ்²வரஸ்ய தூ³த: ஸ்வப்நே தம்’ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ த³த்த்வா வ்யாஜஹார, ஹே தா³யூத³: ஸந்தாந யூஷப்² த்வம்’ நிஜாம்’ ஜாயாம்’ மரியமம் ஆதா³தும்’ மா பை⁴ஷீ: |
21 And she will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus; for he will save his people from their sins.
யதஸ்தஸ்யா க³ர்ப⁴: பவித்ராதா³த்மநோ(அ)ப⁴வத், ஸா ச புத்ரம்’ ப்ரஸவிஷ்யதே, ததா³ த்வம்’ தஸ்ய நாம யீஸு²ம் (அர்தா²த் த்ராதாரம்’) கரீஷ்யஸே, யஸ்மாத் ஸ நிஜமநுஜாந் தேஷாம்’ கலுஷேப்⁴ய உத்³த⁴ரிஷ்யதி|
22 Now all this was done, that the word might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
இத்த²ம்’ ஸதி, பஸ்²ய க³ர்ப⁴வதீ கந்யா தநயம்’ ப்ரஸவிஷ்யதே| இம்மாநூயேல் ததீ³யஞ்ச நாமதே⁴யம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|| இம்மாநூயேல் அஸ்மாகம்’ ஸங்கீ³ஸ்²வரஇத்யர்த²: |
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a son, and his name shall be called Immanuel, which, when translated, is, God with us.
இதி யத்³ வசநம்’ புர்வ்வம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வக்த்ரா ஈஸ்²வர: கதா²யாமாஸ, தத் ததா³நீம்’ ஸித்³த⁴மப⁴வத்|
24 And Joseph awoke from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him; and he took home his wife,
அநந்தரம்’ யூஷப்² நித்³ராதோ ஜாக³ரித உத்தா²ய பரமேஸ்²வரீயதூ³தஸ்ய நிதே³ஸா²நுஸாரேண நிஜாம்’ ஜாயாம்’ ஜக்³ராஹ,
25 and knew her not till she had brought forth her first-born son. And he called his name Jesus.
கிந்து யாவத் ஸா நிஜம்’ ப்ரத²மஸுதம்’ அ ஸுஷுவே, தாவத் தாம்’ நோபாக³ச்ச²த், தத: ஸுதஸ்ய நாம யீஸு²ம்’ சக்ரே|
