Mark 2
1 And again he entered Capernaum, after some days; and they heard that he was in the house.
൧ചില ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവൻ പിന്നെയും കഫർന്നഹൂമിൽ ചെന്ന്; അവൻ വീട്ടിൽ ഉണ്ടെന്ന് ശ്രുതിയായി.
2 And immediately many came together, so that the house could contain them no longer, nor could the space about the door. And he preached the word to them.
൨ഉടനെ വാതിൽക്കൽപോലും ഇടമില്ലാത്തവണ്ണം പലരും വന്നുകൂടി, അവൻ അവരോട് ദൈവവചനം പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.
3 And they came to him, bringing a paralytic, who was carried by four men.
൩അപ്പോൾ ചിലർ ഒരു പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനെയുംകൊണ്ട് യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു; നാല് ആളുകൾ അവനെ ചുമന്നിരുന്നു.
4 And not being able to come near him, on account of the multitude, they took off the roof where he was, and having broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.
൪ജനക്കൂട്ടം നിമിത്തം സമീപിച്ചുകൂടായ്കയാൽ യേശു ഇരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ മേൽക്കൂര പൊളിച്ച് തുറന്നു, ഒരു ദ്വാരം ഉണ്ടാക്കി, പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനെ കിടക്കയോടെ താഴോട്ടിറക്കി വെച്ച്.
5 And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic: Son, your sins are forgiven you.
൫യേശു അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടിട്ട് പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനോട്: “മകനേ, നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ മോചിച്ചു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
6 But some of the scribes were sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts:
൬അവിടെ ചില ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു: “ഈ മനുഷ്യന് എങ്ങനെ ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുവാൻ കഴിയും? ഇവൻ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്നു!
7 Why does this man thus speak impiously? Who can forgive sins but God only?
൭ദൈവം ഒരുവൻ അല്ലാതെ പാപങ്ങളെ മോചിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുന്നവൻ ആർ” എന്നു ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
8 And Jesus, immediately perceiving in his spirit that they thus reasoned within themselves, said to them: Why are you reasoning thus in your hearts?
൮ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ഉള്ളിൽ ചിന്തിക്കുന്നത് യേശു ഉടനെ ആത്മാവിൽ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവരോട്: “നിങ്ങൾ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ ചിന്തിക്കുന്നത് എന്ത്?
9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, take up your bed and walk?
൯പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനോട് ‘നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ മോചിച്ചു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നതോ, എഴുന്നേറ്റ് കിടക്ക എടുത്തു നടക്ക’ എന്നു പറയുന്നതോ, ഏതാകുന്നു എളുപ്പം” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
10 But that you may know that the Son of man on earth has authority to forgive sins, (he said to the paralytic, )
൧൦“എന്നാൽ ഭൂമിയിൽ പാപങ്ങളെ മോചിക്കുവാൻ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് അധികാരം ഉണ്ട് എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്” അവൻ പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനോട്:
11 I say to you, Arise, take up your bed and go to your house.
൧൧“എഴുന്നേറ്റ് കിടക്ക എടുത്തു വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോക എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
12 And he arose forthwith, and took up his bed, and went out before them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying: We have never seen it thus.
൧൨ഉടനെ അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് കിടക്ക എടുത്തു എല്ലാവരും കാൺകെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അതുകൊണ്ട് എല്ലാവരും വിസ്മയിച്ചു: ഞങ്ങൾ ഇതുപോലെ ഒരുനാളും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.
13 And he went out again by the sea: and all the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
൧൩അവൻ പിന്നെയും കടല്ക്കരെ ചെന്ന്; പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു; അവൻ അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു.
14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphæus sitting at the custom-house; and he said to him: Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
൧൪പിന്നെ അവൻ കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ അല്ഫായിയുടെ മകനായ ലേവി ചുങ്കസ്ഥലത്ത് ഇരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ട്: “എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് യേശുവിനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.
15 And it came to pass, as Jesus reclined at table in his house, that many publicans and sinners reclined with him and his disciples; for there were many, and they followed him.
൧൫യേശു ലേവിയുടെ വീട്ടിൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പല ചുങ്കക്കാരും പാപികളും യേശുവിനോടും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടും കൂടി പന്തിയിൽ ഇരുന്നു; അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചുവന്നവർ അനേകർ ആയിരുന്നു.
16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eating with publicans and sinners, they said to his disciples: Why is it that he eats and drinks with publicans and sinners?
൧൬അവൻ ചുങ്കക്കാരോടും പാപികളോടും കൂടെ തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു പരീശന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ള ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ കണ്ടിട്ട് അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോട്: അവൻ ചുങ്കക്കാരോടും പാപികളോടും കൂടെ തിന്നു കുടിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്? എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
17 And when Jesus heard it, he said to them: Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call righteous men, but sinners.
൧൭യേശു അത് കേട്ട് അവരോട്: രോഗികൾക്കല്ലാതെ ആരോഗ്യമുള്ളവർക്ക് വൈദ്യനെക്കൊണ്ട് ആവശ്യമില്ല; ഞാൻ നീതിമാന്മാരെ അല്ല, പാപികളെ അത്രേ വിളിക്കുവാൻ വന്നത് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
18 And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees were in the habit of fasting; and they came, and said to him: Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples fast not?
൧൮യോഹന്നാന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരും പരീശന്മാരും ഉപവസിക്കുക പതിവായിരുന്നു; അവർ വന്നു അവനോട്: യോഹന്നാന്റെയും പരീശന്മാരുടെയും ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഉപവസിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഉപവസിക്കാത്തതെന്ത് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
19 And Jesus said to them: Can the sons of the bride-chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can not fast.
൧൯യേശു അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: മണവാളൻ കൂടെ ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ തോഴ്മക്കാർക്ക് ഉപവസിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുമോ? മണവാളൻ കൂടെ ഇരിക്കുംകാലത്തോളം അവർക്ക് ഉപവസിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.
20 But the days will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they will fast in those days.
൨൦എന്നാൽ മണവാളൻ അവരെ വിട്ടുപിരിയേണ്ടുന്ന കാലം വരും; ആ നാളുകളിൽ അവർ ഉപവസിക്കും.
21 No one sews a patch of new cloth on an old garment; if so, the new piece which fills it up, takes from the old, and a worse rent is made.
൨൧പഴയ വസ്ത്രത്തിൽ പുതിയതുണിക്കഷണം ആരും ചേർത്ത് തുന്നുമാറില്ല; തുന്നിയാൽ ചേർത്ത പുതിയ കഷണം പഴയതിൽ നിന്നു വലിഞ്ഞിട്ട് കീറൽ ഏറ്റവും വല്ലാതെ ആകും.
22 And no one puts new wine into old bottles; if so, the new wine bursts the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles are destroyed. But new wine must be put into new bottles.
൨൨ആരും പുതിയ വീഞ്ഞ് പഴയ തുരുത്തിയിൽ പകർന്നു വെയ്ക്കുമാറില്ല; വെച്ചാൽ പുതുവീഞ്ഞ് തുരുത്തിയെ പൊളിക്കും; വീഞ്ഞ് ഒഴുകിപ്പോകും; തുരുത്തി നശിച്ചുപോകും; പുതിയ വീഞ്ഞ് പുതിയ തുരുത്തിയിലത്രേ പകർന്നു വെയ്ക്കേണ്ടത്”.
23 And it came to pass, that he was going on the sabbath-day through the fields of grain: and his disciples began, as they went, to pull the ears of grain.
൨൩യേശു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ഒരു വയലിൽകൂടി കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ വഴി നടക്കയിൽ കതിർ പറിച്ചു തിന്നുതുടങ്ങി.
24 And the Pharisees said to him: See, why are they doing on the sabbath-day what is not lawful?
൨൪പരീശന്മാർ അവനോട്: നോക്കൂ, ഇവർ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ വിഹിതമല്ലാത്തത് ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്ത് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
25 And he said to them: Did you never read what David did, when he had need and was hungry, he and those who were with him?
൨൫അവൻ അവരോട്: ദാവീദ്, തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും മുട്ടുണ്ടാകുകയും വിശക്കുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ചെയ്തതു എന്ത്?
26 How he entered the house of God in the days of Abiathar the chief priest, and ate the loaves of the presence, which, it is not lawful, except for the priests, to eat, and gave to those also who were with him?
൨൬അവൻ അബ്യാഥാർമഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ കാലത്ത് ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെന്ന്, പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കല്ലാതെ ആർക്കും തിന്മാൻ വിഹിതമല്ലാത്ത കാഴ്ചയപ്പം തിന്നു, കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും കൊടുത്തു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഒരിക്കലും വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
27 And he said to them: The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.
൨൭പിന്നെ യേശു അവരോട്: മനുഷ്യൻ ശബ്ബത്ത് നിമിത്തമല്ല; ശബ്ബത്ത് മനുഷ്യൻ നിമിത്തമത്രേ ഉണ്ടായത്;
28 Therefore, the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
൨൮അതുകൊണ്ട് മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ ശബ്ബത്തിനും കർത്താവ് ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
