Mark 1
1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
१देवाचा पुत्र येशू ख्रिस्त याच्या शुभवर्तमानाची ही सुरूवात आहे.
2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way.
२यशया संदेष्ट्याच्या ग्रंथात लिहिल्याप्रमाणे, “पाहा, मी माझ्या दूताला तुझ्यापुढे पाठवतो, तो तुझ्यासाठी मार्ग तयार करील;
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ready the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
३अरण्यांत घोषणा करणाऱ्याची वाणी झाली, ‘परमेश्वराचा मार्ग तयार करा, त्याच्या वाटा सरळ करा.’”
4 John was immersing in the wilderness, and preaching the immersion of repentance in order to the remission of sins.
४त्याप्रमाणेच योहान आला, तो अरण्यांत बाप्तिस्मा देत होता आणि पापांच्या क्षमेसाठी पश्चात्तापाच्या बाप्तिस्म्याची घोषणा करीत होता.
5 And all the country of Judea and the inhabitants of Jerusalem went out to him, and were all immersed by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
५यहूदीया प्रांत व यरूशलेम शहरातील सर्व लोक योहानाकडे आले. त्यांनी आपली पापे कबूल करून त्याच्यापासून यार्देन नदीत बाप्तिस्मा घेतला.
6 And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and had a girdle of leather around his loins, and he ate locusts and wild honey:
६योहान उंटाच्या केसांपासून बनवलेली वस्त्रे घालीत असे. त्याच्या कंबरेला कातड्याचा पट्टा होता व तो टोळ व रानमध खात असे.
7 and he preached, saying: There comes after me One mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.
७तो घोषणा करून म्हणत असे, “माझ्यापेक्षाही महान असा कोणीएक माझ्यामागून येत आहे आणि मी त्याच्या वहाणांचा बंद खाली वाकून लवून सोडण्याच्या देखील पात्रतेचा नाही.
8 I immerse you in water; but he will immerse you in the Holy Spirit.
८मी तुमचा बाप्तिस्मा पाण्याने करतो पण तो तुमचा बाप्तिस्मा पवित्र आत्म्याने करील.”
9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John in the Jordan.
९त्या दिवसात असे झाले की, येशू गालील प्रांतातील नासरेथ नगराहून आला आणि योहानाच्या हातून यार्देन नदीत येशूने बाप्तिस्मा घेतला.
10 And immediately on coming up from the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him.
१०येशू पाण्यातून वर येताना, आकाश उघडलेले आणि पवित्र आत्मा त्याच्यावर कबुतरासारखा उतरत आहे, असे त्यास दिसले.
11 And there was a voice from the heavens: Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I delight.
११तेव्हा आकाशातून वाणी झाली की, “तू माझा प्रिय पुत्र आहेस, तुझ्याविषयी मी संतुष्ट आहे.”
12 And immediately the Spirit compelled him to go forth into the wilderness.
१२मग आत्म्याने लगेचच त्यास अरण्यांत घालवले.
13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, to be tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
१३सैतान त्याची परीक्षा पाहत असता तो अरण्यांत चाळीस दिवस राहीला. तो वनपशूंमध्ये होता. आणि देवदूत येऊन त्याची सेवा करीत होते.
14 But after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
१४योहानाला अटक झाल्यानंतर, येशू गालील प्रांतास आला व देवाकडून आलेली सुवार्ता त्याने गाजवली.
15 and saying: The time has fully come, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the gospel.
१५तो म्हणाला, “आता योग्य वेळ आली आहे, देवाचे राज्य जवळ आले आहे, पश्चात्ताप करा आणि सुवार्तेवर विश्वास ठेवा.”
16 And as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew the brother of Simon, throwing a net about in the sea; for they were fishers.
१६येशू गालीलच्या सरोवराजवळून जात असता त्यास शिमोन व शिमोनाचा भाऊ अंद्रिया हे सरोवरात जाळे टाकताना दिसले, कारण ते मासे धरणारे होते.
17 And Jesus said to them: Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.
१७येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “माझ्यामागे या म्हणजे मी तुम्हास माणसे धरणारे करीन.”
18 And immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
१८मग ते लगेचच जाळी सोडून त्याच्यामागे चालू लागले.
19 And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship, mending their nets.
१९तेथून काहीसे पुढे गेल्यावर येशूला जब्दीचा मुलगा याकोब व त्याचा भाऊ योहान हे तारवात जाळे नीट करताना दिसले.
20 And he immediately called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
२०त्याने लगेच त्यांना हाक मारून बोलावले; मग ते त्यांचा पिता जब्दी व नोकरचाकर यांना तारवात सोडून त्याच्यामागे गेले.
21 And they went into Capernaum; and immediately, on the sabbath, he entered the synagogue, and taught.
२१नंतर येशू आणि त्याचे शिष्य कफर्णहूम नगरास गेले, आणि लगेचच येशूने शब्बाथ दिवशी सभास्थानात जाऊन शिक्षण दिले.
22 And they were astonished at his teaching; for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
२२त्याच्या शिकवणुकीने ते चकित झाले, कारण येशू नियमशास्त्राच्या शिक्षकांप्रमाणे शिकवीत नव्हता, तर त्यास अधिकार असल्यासारखा शिकवीत होता.
23 And there was in their synagogue a man who had an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
२३त्याचवेळी त्यांच्या सभास्थानात अशुद्ध आत्मा लागलेला एक मनुष्य होता, तो एकदम मोठ्याने ओरडला,
24 saying: Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Nazarene? Hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
२४आणि म्हणाला, “नासरेथच्या येशू, तू आमच्यामध्ये का पडतोस? तू आमचा नाश करावयास आला आहेस काय? तू कोण आहेस हे मला माहीत आहे, जो देवाचा पवित्र तो तूच.”
25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying: Be silent, and come out of him.
२५परंतु येशूने त्यास धमकावून म्हटले, “शांत राहा व याच्यातून नीघ.”
26 And the unclean spirit threw him into convulsions, and cried with a loud voice, and came out of him.
२६“नंतर अशुद्ध आत्म्याने त्यास पिळले व तो मोठ्याने ओरडून त्याच्यातून बाहेर निघून गेला.”
27 And all were amazed, so that they questioned one another, saying: What means this? What new teaching is this, that with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him?
२७लोक आश्चर्यचकित झाले व एकमेकांस विचारू लागले, “येथे काय चालले आहे? हा मनुष्य काहीतरी नवीन आणि अधिकाराने शिकवीत आहे. तो अशुद्ध आत्म्यांनाही आज्ञा करतो आणि ते त्याचे ऐकतात!”
28 And his fame immediately went abroad into all the surrounding country of Galilee.
२८येशूविषयीची ही बातमी ताबडतोब गालील प्रांतात सर्वत्र पसरली.
29 And forthwith, having gone out of the synagogue, they went into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
२९येशू व त्याच्या शिष्यांनी सभास्थान सोडले आणि लगेच तो योहान व याकोब यांच्याबरोबर शिमोन व अंद्रिया यांच्या घरी गेला.
30 Now the mother-in-law of Simon lay sick of a fever. And at once they told him of her.
३०शिमोनाची सासू तापाने बिछान्यावर पडली होती. तेव्हा त्यांनी ताबडतोब येशूला तिच्याविषयी सांगितले.
31 And he went to her, and took her by the hand, and raised her up, and the fever left her instantly; and she ministered to them.
३१तेव्हा त्याने जवळ जाऊन तिच्या हाताला धरून तिला उठवले आणि तिचा ताप निघून गेला व ती त्यांची सेवा करू लागली.
32 And at evening, when the sun had gone down, they brought to him all that were sick, and those who were possessed with demons.
३२संध्याकाळी म्हणजे सूर्यास्त झाल्यावर लोकांनी सर्व आजारी आणि भूतांनी पछाडलेल्यास त्याच्याकडे आणले.
33 And the whole city came together to the door.
३३सर्व नगर दरवाजापुढे जमा झाले.
34 And he cured many that were sick of various diseases, and cast out many demons, and did not suffer the demons to speak, because they knew him.
३४त्याने निरनिराळ्या रोगांनी आजारी असलेल्यांना बरे केले व अनेक लोकांतून भूते काढली. पण त्याने भूतांना बोलू दिले नाही कारण ती त्यास ओळखत होती.
35 And very early in the morning, while it was yet dark, he arose and went out, and departed to a desert place, and there prayed.
३५मग त्याने अगदी पहाटेस अंधार असतानाच घर सोडले आणि एकांत स्थळी जाऊन तेथे त्याने प्रार्थना केली.
36 And Simon, and those who were with him, followed after him.
३६शिमोन व त्याच्यासोबत असलेले येशूचा शोध करीत होते,
37 And when they had found him, they said to him: All are seeking for thee.
३७व तो सापडल्यावर ते त्यास म्हणाले, गुरूजी “आम्ही सर्वजण तुमचा शोध करीत आहोत.”
38 And he said to them: Let us go into the neighboring towns, that I may preach there also; for I have come forth for this purpose.
३८तेव्हा येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “आपण जवळपासच्या गावात जाऊ या, म्हणजे मला तेथे देखील उपदेश करता यावा म्हणून आपण दुसरीकडे जाऊ कारण त्यासाठीच मी निघून आलो आहे.”
39 And throughout the whole of Galilee he continued to preach in their synagogues, and to cast out demons.
३९मग तो सर्व गालील प्रांतातून, त्यांच्या सभास्थानातून उपदेश करीत आणि भूते काढीत फिरला.
40 And there came to him a leper, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying to him: If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
४०एक कुष्ठरोगी येशूकडे आला व त्याच्यापुढे गुडघे टेकून त्याने स्वतःला बरे करण्याची त्यास विनंती केली. तो येशूला म्हणाला, “आपली इच्छा असली तर मला शुद्ध करण्यास आपण समर्थ आहात.”
41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched forth his hand, and touched him, and said to him: I will; be clean.
४१येशूला त्याचा कळवळा आला, त्याने हात पुढे करून त्यास स्पर्श केला व म्हटले, “माझी इच्छा आहे, शुद्ध हो.”
42 And when he had spoken, the leprosy immediately departed from him, and he was cleansed.
४२आणि लगेच त्याचे कुष्ठ गेले व तो शुद्ध झाला.
43 And he strictly charged him, and forthwith sent him away,
४३येशूने त्यास सक्त ताकीद दिली व लगेच लावून दिले.
44 and said to him: See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
४४आणि म्हटले, “पाहा, याविषयी कोणाला काहीही सांगू नकोस, तर जाऊन स्वतःला याजकाला दाखव आणि त्यांना साक्ष व्हावी म्हणून तू आपल्या शुद्धीकरता मोशेने नेमलेले अर्पण कर.”
45 But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to publish the matter abroad, so that he was no longer able to enter a city openly, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
४५परंतु तो तेथून गेला व घोषणा करून ही बातमी इतकी पसरवली की येशूला उघडपणे शहरात जाता येईना, म्हणून तो बाहेर अरण्यातच राहिला आणि तरी चोहोबाजूंनी लोक त्याच्याकडे येत राहण्याचे थांबले नाही.
