Luke 20
1 And it came to pass, that, on one of those days, while he was teaching the people in the temple, and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes, with the elders, came to him,
Niabot ang usa ka adlaw, sa dihang si Jesus nagtudlo sa mga tawo didto sa templo ug nagsangyaw sa ebanghelyo, ang pangulong mga pari ug ang mga manunulat miadto kaniya kauban ang mga kadagkoan.
2 and spoke to him, saying: Tell us by what authority you do these things? or, who is he that gave you this authority?
Sila miingon kaniya, “Sultihi kami unsay katungod nimo sa pagbuhat niining mga butanga? O kinsa siya nga naghatag kanimo niini nga katungod?”
3 And he answered and said to them: I also will ask you one thing, and do you answer me.
Siya mitubag ug miingon kanila, “Ako usab mangutana kaninyo. Sultihi ko mahitungod
4 Was the immersion of John from heaven, or from men?
sa pagbawtismo ni Juan. Kadto ba gikan sa langit o gikan sa mga tawo?”
5 And they reasoned among themselves, saying: If we say, From heaven, he will reply: Why, then, did you not believe him?
Sila nangatarongan sa ilang mga kaugalingon, miingon, “kung kita moingon, 'Gikan sa langit,' siya moingon, 'Unya ngano man nga wala kamo motuo kaniya?'
6 But if we say, From men, all the people will stone us; for they believe that John was a prophet.
Apan kung kita moingon, 'Gikan sa tawo,' tanang tawo mobato kanato, tungod kay sila mituo nga si Juan propeta.”
7 And they answered, that they knew not whence it was.
Busa sila mitubag nga wala sila makabalo asa kadto gikan.
8 And Jesus said to them: Nor do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
Si Jesus miingon kanila, “Dili usab ako mosulti kaninyo kung unsang katungod nako sa pagbuhat niining mga butanga.”
9 And he began to speak this parable to the people: A man planted a vineyard, and let it out to vine-dressers, and was absent from home for a long time.
Siya misugilon sa mga tawo niini nga sambingay, “Ang tawo nagtanom sa parasan, gipiyal kini sa mga tig-atiman sa paras, ug miadto sa laing kaumahan sa dugay nga panahon.
10 And at the proper season, he sent a servant to those vine-dressers, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard. But the vine-dressers scourged him, and sent him away empty-handed.
Sa gitakda nga panahon siya nagpadala ug sulugoon ngadto sa tig-atiman sa paras, nga sila kinahanglan mohatag kaniya sa bunga sa parasan. Apan gikulata siya sa mga nag-atiman sa paras, ug gipapauli siya nga walay dala.
11 And he then sent another servant. But they scourged him also, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed.
Unya siya nagpadala ug lain nga sulugoon ug gikulata usab nila kini, gihimoan siya sa dakong kaulawan, ug gipapauli nga walay dala.
12 And he also sent a third; but they wounded him, and drove him out.
Siya usab nagpadala pa gihapon sa ikatulo ka higayon ug ila usab siyang gisamaran, ug gilabay ngadto sa gawas.
13 And the owner of the vineyard said: What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps, when they see him, they will reverence him.
Unya ang agalon sa parasan nag-ingon, 'Unsay akong buhaton? Akong ipadala ang akong pinalanggang anak. Basin ila kining tahuron.'
14 But when the vine-dressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying: This is the heir; come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
Apan sa dihang nakita siya sa mga tig-atiman sa paras, sila nag-inistoryahanay, miingon, 'Kini ang manununod. Ato siyang patyon, aron ang iyang masunod nga katigayonan maatoa.'
15 And they drove him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What, then, will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
Gilabay nila siya pagawas sa parasan ug gipatay. Unsa unya ang pagabuhaton sa agalon sa parasan ngadto kanila?
16 He will come and destroy these vine-dressers, and will give his vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said: Be it not so!
Siya moanhi ug laglagon kining mga tig-atiman sa paras, ug ihatag ang parasan sa uban.” Ug sa dihang nadungog nila kini, sila miingon, “Dili itugot sa Dios!”
17 And he looked on them and said: What, then, does this mean, which is written, The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner?
Apan si Jesus mitan-aw kanila, ug miingon, “Unsa ang ipasabot niinig kasulatan? 'Ang bato nga gisalikway sa magtutukod, nahimo nga pundasyon'?
18 Whoever shall fall on this stone, shall be dashed to pieces; but on whomever it shall fall, it will make him as chaff for the wind.
Matag usa nga mahulog niadtong batoha mapulpog. Apan kung kinsa ang mahulogan niini madugmok.”
19 And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him, the same hour; (and yet they feared the people; ) for they knew that he spoke this parable against them.
Busa ang mga manunulat ug mga pangulong pari nangita ug paagi kung unsaon nila pagdakop kaniya niadtong orasa, kay sila nakahibalo nga siya naghisgot sa maong sambingay batok kanila. Apan nahadlok sila sa mga tawo.
20 And they watched him, and sent spies, who feigned them selves to be just men, that they might take hold of his words, in order to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
Gibantayan siya pag-ayo, sila nagpadala ug mga espiya nga nagpakaaron-ingnon nga matarong, nga sila unta makakita ug sayop sa iyang gipamulong, aron matugyan nila siya ngadto sa pagdumala ug kagamhanan sa gobernador.
21 And they asked him, saying: Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and do not regard the person of any, but teach the way of God in truth.
Sila nganutana kaniya, miingon, “Magtutudlo, nakahibalo kami nga ikaw nagsulti ug nagtudlo sa husto, ug wala nadani ni bisan kinsa, apan ikaw nagtudlo sa kamatuoran mahitungod sa pamaagi sa Dios.
22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Cæsar, or not?
Uyon ba sa balaod nga kami mobayad sa buhis kang Cesar, o dili?”
23 But he perceived their cunning, and said to them: Why do you tempt me?
Apan nasabtan ni Jesus ang ilang pagkamaro, ug miingon kanila,
24 Show me a denarius. Whose image and superscription has it? They answered and said: Cæsar’s.
“Ipakita kanako ang denaryo. Kang kinsang dagway ug ngalan ang nahisulat niini?” Sila miingon, “kang Cesar.”
25 He said to them: Give, therefore, to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.
Siya miingon kanila, “Ihatag kang Cesar ang mga butang nga kang Cesar, ug sa Dios, ang mga butang nga sa Dios.”
26 And they were not able to take hold of his words before the people. And they were astonished at his answer, and were silent.
Ang mga manunulat ug mga pangulong pari walay ikasaway sa iyang giingon atubangan sa mga tawo. Sila nahibulong sa iyang tubag ug wala silay nasulti.
27 Then there came to him some of the Sadducees, (these deny that there is any resurrection, ) and asked him,
Sa dihang ang pipila ka mga Saduseo miadto kaniya, ang mga nag-ingon nga walay pagkabanhaw,
28 saying: Teacher, Moses wrote for us, If any man’s brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up children for his brother.
sila nangutana kaniya, miingon, “Magtutudlo, si Moises nagsulat kanato nga kung ang igsoon nga lalaki sa usa ka lalaki namatay, adunay asawa, ug walay anak, kuhaon sa igsoon nga lalaki ang asawa sa iyang igsoon, ug maghatag ug anak alang sa iyang igsoon.
29 There were, therefore, seven brothers; and the first took a wife, and died without children;
Adunay pito ka mga managsoon nga lalaki ug ang magulang nagminyo apan namatay nga walay anak,
30 and the second took his wife, and he died without children;
ug ang ikaduha usab.
31 and the third took her; and in like manner also the seven; and they left no children, and died.
Ang ikatulo nikuha kaniya, ug sa ingon niana ang pito usab wala naka anak, ug nangamatay.
32 Last of all, the woman also died.
Sa human niana ang babaye usab namatay. Sa pagkabanhaw unya,
33 Therefore, in the resurrection, of which of them shall she be the wife? for the seven had her as a wife.
kang kinsang asawa kadtong babaye? Tungod kay ang pito naminyo man kaniya.”
34 And Jesus answered and said to them: The children of this age marry, and are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
Si Jesus miingon kanila, “Ang mga anak niining kalibotan magminyo, ug ihatag sa kaminyoon. (aiōn g165)
35 But those who shall be accounted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
Apan sila nga gihukman nga angayan modawat sa pagkabanhaw gikan sa kamatayon ug mosulod sa walay kataposan dili magminyo o dili na ihatag sa kaminyoon. (aiōn g165)
36 For they can die no more; for they are like the angels, and are the sons of God, being the sons of the resurrection.
Dili na usab sila mamatay, kay sila managsama na sa mga anghel ug mga anak sa Dios, isip mga anak sa pagkabanhaw.
37 But: that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at The Bush, since he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
Apan ang mga patay mabanhaw, bisan si Moises nagpakita, sa lugar kung diin may kalabotan sa gamay nga kahoy, diin siya nagtawag sa Ginoo nga Dios ni Abraham ug Dios ni Isaac ug Dios ni Jacob.
38 He is not a God of the dead, but of the living; for all live to him.
Karon siya dili Dios sa patay, apan sa buhi, tungod kay ang tanan buhi diha kaniya.”
39 And certain of the scribes answered and said: Teacher, thou hast answered well.
Ang pipila sa mga manunulat mitubag, “Magtutudlo, maayo kaayo ang imong tubag.”
40 And after this they durst not ask him any question at all.
Tungod kay sila wala na misulay pagpangutana kaniya sa daghan pang mga pangutana.
41 But he said to them: How say they that the Christ is the son of David?
Si Jesus miingon kanila, “Giunsa nila pagkaingon nga ang Cristo anak ni David?
42 Even David himself says, in the book of Psalms: The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand,
Tungod kay si David mismo miingon sa libro sa mga Salmo, Ang Ginoo miingon sa akong Ginoo, 'Lingkod sa akong tuong dapit,
43 till I make thy enemies thy footstool.
hangtod nga ang imong mga kaaway akong himoon nga tumbanan sa imong mga tiil.'
44 David, therefore, calls him Lord; and how is he his son?
Si David busa mitawag kang Cristo ug 'Ginoo', sa unsa nga paagi nahimo siya nga anak ni David?”
45 And while all the people were listening, he said to his disciples:
Pagkadungog sa mga tawo siya miingon sa iyang mga disipulo,
46 Beware of the scribes, who delight to walk in robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the first seats in the synagogues, and the first places at suppers;
“Pagbantay sa mga manunulat, nga naninguha sa paglakaw nga tag-as ang mga kupo ug gusto ug pinasahi nga mga pagtagad sa merkado, ug mga lingkuranan sa pangulo sa mga sinagoga, ug pangulong mga lugar sa mga kumbira.
47 who eat up the houses of widows, and, for a pretext, make long prayers. These shall receive the greater condemnation.
Sila usab mangilog sa mga balay sa mga byuda, ug magpaka-aron ingnon sa pagbuhat ug tag-as nga mga pag-ampo. Kini mga maka-angkon sa dako nga paghukom sa silot.”
