Hebrews 3
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,
第二款 キリストはモイゼに優り給ふ 然れば聖なる兄弟等よ、汝等は天よりの召に與りたる者なれば、我等が宣言[する信仰]の使徒に在し大司祭に在すイエズスの、
2 who is faithful to him that appointed him, as Moses also was faithful in all his house.
恰もモイゼが神の全家に忠義なりし如く、己を立て給ひし者に忠義に在す事を鑑みよ。
3 For this man is counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has builded the house, has more honor than the house.
蓋イエズスがモイゼに優りて大いなる光榮を受くべき者とせられ給ひしは、家を造りたる者の其家に優りて尊ばるが如し。
4 For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.
家は総て人に造らるれども、萬物を無より造り給ひしは神にて在す。
5 And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, to bear testimony to those things which were to be spoken afterward;
而してモイゼが神の全家に忠義なりしは、僕として、後に告げらるべき事を證せん為なるに、
6 but Christ, as a Son over his own house; whose house we are, if we hold the confidence and the joy of our hope firm to the end.
キリストは子として、神の家に忠義に在せり。若希望による信頼と誇とを終まで堅く保たば、我等ぞ即ち其家なる。
7 Wherefore, as the Holy Spirit says: To-day, if you will hear his voice,
此故に聖霊の曰へる如く、「今日汝等其聲を聞かば、
8 harden not your hearts, as in the bitter provocation, in the day of trial in the wilderness,
曾て荒野に於て怒の時神を試みし日に在りし如く、心を頑固にすること勿れ、
9 where your fathers tried me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
彼處にては、汝等の先祖試みて我を験し、四十年の間我業を見たり、
10 Where fore, I was angry with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
故に我其時代の人に怒りて謂へらく、彼等は何時も心にて彷徨ひ、我道を知らざりき、
11 so that I swore in my anger, They shall not enter into my rest.
然れば我怒りて、彼等は我安息に入らじと誓へり」、と。
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in apostatizing from the living God.
兄弟等よ、汝等の中に、或は不信仰の惡心ありて、活き給へる神に遠ざからんとする事の誰にも之なからん様注意せよ。
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To-day, lest any of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
寧今日と稱ふる間に、日々相勧めて、汝等の中に罪の欺によりて頑固になる者なからしめよ。
14 For we are partakers of the Christ, if we hold our begun confidence firm to the end;
我等若始の信頼を終まで堅固に保たば、キリストに與る者と為られたるなり。
15 while it is said, To-day, if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the bitter provocation.
即ち「今日汝等其聲を聞かば、彼怒の時の如く心を頑固にすること勿れ」と謂はるればなり。
16 For some, when they had heard, did bitterly provoke; yet, not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
聞きて怒らせし人々は誰なるぞ、是モイゼと共にエジプトより出でし凡ての人ならずや。
17 But with whom was he angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
又四十年の間、神は誰に對ひて怒り給ひしぞ、罪を犯して屍を荒野に横たへられし人々に對してに非ずや。
18 But to whom did he swear that they should not enter into his rest, but to those who believed not?
又我安息に入らじと誓い給ひしは、誰に對ひてなるぞ、不順なりし人々に對してに非ずや。
19 And so we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
我等の見る所によれば、彼等は實に不順の為に入る事を得ざりしなり。
