< Hebrews 3 >

1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,
Khankhawa ka Pamhnam naw pi aning jah khü ka püi khritjane aw! Mi pyena jumeinaka Ktaiyü Ngvai Säih vaia Pamhnam naw a tüih lawa Jesuha mawng cän ngai süm ua.
2 who is faithful to him that appointed him, as Moses also was faithful in all his house.
Pamhnama im kyawnga Mosi sitih lü a khüi khawma kba ani cun pi ani xüki Pamhnama khut binak üng sitihki ni.
3 For this man is counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has builded the house, has more honor than the house.
Ima kthaka im ksa naw leisawngnak yahei bawki ni. Mosia kthaka Jesuh naw leisawngnak akdäm bawk cun yahei ngkäihki ni.
4 For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.
Im naküt cun khyang naw sawngsa lü anaküt sawngsaki cun Pamhnam mata kyaki ni.
5 And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, to bear testimony to those things which were to be spoken afterward;
Mosi cun Pamhnama ima mpya akba sitih lü malama Pamhnam naw a pyen law vaie cun pyenki.
6 but Christ, as a Son over his own house; whose house we are, if we hold the confidence and the joy of our hope firm to the end.
Khritaw cun sitihki Cakpa akba Pamhnama imkyawng msümceiki. Ani üng mi äpeinak cun mkhühüpnak ja lingnak mi tak üngta ania ima mi kyakie.
7 Wherefore, as the Holy Spirit says: To-day, if you will hear his voice,
Acuna kyase, Ngmüimkhya Ngcim naw, “Tuhngawi Pamhnama kthai nami ngjak üng,
8 harden not your hearts, as in the bitter provocation, in the day of trial in the wilderness,
nami pupae naw Pamhnam mhnütei u lü khawkhyawng khawa Pamhnam kpetmjak u lü ami ve ua kba nami nghnga käh pangsak ua.
9 where your fathers tried me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Kum phyükip i ka pawhki ti cun hmu kyaw u lüpi acua na ksük u lü na kbawngkie ti lü Pamhnam naw pyenki.
10 Where fore, I was angry with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
Ahina khyange am ka mlungso lü ka pyen ta ‘amimi anglät am sitih u lü ka ngthupete pi mah u lü am jah läklam u.’
11 so that I swore in my anger, They shall not enter into my rest.
Ka mlungso lü khyütam a süyüa ka pawh ta: ‘Ami ngdümnak vai ka jah peta mdeka am lutvang yah u’ tia pyenki.
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in apostatizing from the living God.
Ka püie, u pi nami mlung se lü am jumei lü a sak xüngkia Pamhnam üngkhyüh nami nglat vai cun mcei kawm uki.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To-day, lest any of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Cangcim naw a pyena, “Tuhngawi” tia khyünglung hin ami sumeia küt üng ta mat ja mat amhnüp tä kpüikpak lü, u naw pi käh ning jah ngmawngmhlei lü nami nghnga pang khaia käh ning jah pawh se.
14 For we are partakers of the Christ, if we hold our begun confidence firm to the end;
Mimi cun Khritaw am mi ngpüi vaia akcüka mkhühüpnak mi tak cun akpäihnak vei cäpa mi kcüngei kawm u.
15 while it is said, To-day, if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the bitter provocation.
Cangcim naw: “Tuhngawi Pamhnama kthai nami ngjak üng, nami pupae naw Pamhnam kpetmjak u lü ami ve akba nami nghnga käh pangsak u,” a ti.
16 For some, when they had heard, did bitterly provoke; yet, not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
Ania kthai ngjak lü Pamhnam kpetmjakia khyange ta ue ni? Mosi naw Egypt üngkhyüh a jah läh law püia khyange ni.
17 But with whom was he angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
Khawkum phyükip Pamhnama mlungsosakie ni. Mkhyekat u lü khawkhyawng khawa thikie ni.
18 But to whom did he swear that they should not enter into his rest, but to those who believed not?
Pamhnam naw a khyütam a sayüa a pawh ta, “Ami ngdümnak vaia ka jah peta mdeka am lutvang yah u” — ue a hikba a jah tinak ni? Ani kpetmjakie üng ni.
19 And so we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Am ami juma phäha acuna hnüna am lutvang yah u tia mi hmuki.
