< Galatians 6 >

1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in any fault, do you, who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.
My friends, if someone is led astray by sin, you who are spiritual should bring them back with a gentle spirit. Watch out that you don't get tempted too.
2 Bear with the weaknesses of one another, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Carry each other's burdens, for in this way you fulfill the law of Christ.
3 For if any one think himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself:
Those who think they're really something—when they're actually nothing—only fool themselves.
4 but let each one prove his own work, and then he will have cause to boast with respect to himself only, and not with respect to another:
Carefully examine your actions. Then you can be satisfied with yourself, without comparing yourself to anyone else.
5 for each one shall bear his own burden.
We have to take responsibility for ourselves.
6 Let him that is instructed in the word share with his instructor in all good things.
Those that are taught the Word should treat their teachers well, sharing with them all good things.
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that also shall he reap.
Don't be fooled, God can't be treated with contempt: whatever you sow, that's what you reap.
8 For he that sows for his flesh shall from the flesh, reap corruption; but he that sows for his spirit shall from the Spirit reap life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
If you sow according to your sinful human nature, from that nature you'll reap self-destruction. But if you sow according to the Spirit, from the Spirit you'll reap eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
9 Let us not become weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Let's never tire of doing good, for we'll reap a harvest at the proper time, if we don't give up.
10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who are the household of the faith.
So while we have time, let's do good to everyone—especially to those who belong to the family of faith.
11 You see how long a letter I have written to you with my own hand.
Notice how big the letters are, now that I'm writing with my own hand!
12 As many as wish to make a fair show in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of the Christ.
Those people who only want to make a good impression are forcing you to be circumcised just so they won't be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
13 For not even do those very men, who are circumcised, keep the law: but they wish you to be circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh.
Even those who are circumcised don't keep the law, but they want to have you circumcised so that they can boast about you and claim you as their followers.
14 But may I never boast save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through this cross, the world has been crucified to me, and I've been crucified as far as the world is concerned.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision is any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Circumcision or uncircumcision doesn't matter—what matters is that we're created brand new!
16 And as many as walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.
Peace and mercy to all who follow this principle, and to the Israel of God!
17 Henceforward let no one give me trouble: for I bear in my body the wounds which I received on account of the Lord Jesus.
Please, don't anyone trouble me anymore, because I carry on my body the scars of Jesus.
18 Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
My brothers and sisters, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
