< Acts 4 >

1 While they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them,
A Petili na a Yowana bhalinginji nkwaalungushiyanga bhandunji, gubhaikengenenje bhakulungwanji bha bhaabhishila na bhakulungwanji bha ulinda gwa liekalu na ashi Mashadukayo.
2 being vexed because they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
Ashi Mashadukayo na bha kulungwanji bha ulinda gubhaatumbalilenje kwa kaje a Petili na a Yowana, pabha bhatendanga kwajiganyanga na kwaalungushiyanga bhandunji ga yuka kwa a Yeshu ngani jitaya kuti kupali kuyuka kwa bhawilenje.
3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in prison till the next day, for it was already evening.
Bhai, gubhaakamulenje na pabha yaliji tome na pilila, gubhaabhishilenje muulinda mpaka pa malabhi gakwe.
4 But many of those who heard the word, believed: and the number of the men was about five thousand.
Ikabheje bhabhagwinji bhapilikenenje jene nganijo gubhakulupalienje, bhaakulupalila bhanabhalume gubhaishilenje tome na ishila elupu nng'ano.
5 And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers and elders and scribes,
Pa malabhi gakwe, ashikalongolele bha Shiyaudi, na bhanangulungwa na bhaajiganya bha malajilo ga a Musha gubhapegwilwe na a Nnungu, gubhaimenenje ku Yelushalemu.
6 and Annas the chief priest, and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the chief priest, met together in Jerusalem.
Gubhaimenenje pamo na bhakulungwa bha bhaabhishila a Anashi, na a Kayapa, na a Yowana, na a Alekishanda, na bhananji bhalinginji bha ulongo bha bhakulungwa bha bhaabhishila.
7 And when they had made them stand in the midst, they asked: By what power, or by what name have you done this?
Bhakaajimikanjeje bhantenga bhala mmujo jabhonji, gubhaabhushiyenje, “Mmanganya nshitendanga yenei kwa mashili gakeni na antumilenje gani?”
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
Penepo, a Petili bhali bhagumbelwe na Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo, gubhaalugulilenje, “Mmanganya ashikalongolele na bhanangulungwa bha pa Ishilaeli!
9 if we are this day examined with respect unto the good deed done to the infirm man, by what means he has been saved,
Ibhaga lelo tubhuywanga ga shitendi sha mmbone shatendelwe mundu aaliji nangwabha jula shashite lamiywa,
10 be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him does this man stand before you in health.
bhai, mmanganya na bhandu bhowe bha pa Ishilaeli nnapinjikwanga mmumanyanje kuti, aju munduju akunnjimilanga lelo ali alamile kwa mashili ga lina lya a Yeshu Kilishitu Bhanashaleti bhumwaakomelenje munshalabha bhala, ikabheje a Nnungu gubhaayushiye.
11 This is the stone that was rejected with contempt by you builders, which has become the head of the corner.
Bhenebha ni bhatashiywe Mmajandiko ga Ukonjelo kuti. ‘Liganga limwalikanilenje mmanganya mmashenganga, nnaino lishibha liganga likulu lya pandumba.’
12 And there is salvation in no other; nor, indeed, is there another name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved.
Ntapulo ukaapatikana kuka mundu juna jojowe, pabha pashilambolyo, twangapegwa lina lika mundu juna lya kututapula.”
13 Now, when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and plain men, they were astonished; and they also recognized them, that they had been with Jesus;
Bhanangulungwa bha lukumbi bhala, akuno bhali bhamumanyinji kuti a Petili na a Yowana bhandupe bhangashomanga, gubhakanganigwenje ga kwaabhonanga bhalibheleketanga gwangali bhoga. Gubhamumanyinji kuti pubhalinginji pamo na a Yeshu.
14 and, seeing the man who had been cured standing with them, they had nothing to say in reply.
Ikabheje bhakammonanjeje mundu alamiywe jula ajimi nabhonji, bhangabheleketanga shindu.
15 But, having commanded them to go aside out of the Sanhedrim, they consulted with one another,
Kwa nneyo, gubhaamulishenje bhakopokanje nnukumbi mula, gubhalepekenje ashaayenenji bhalikungulukanga.
16 saying: What shall we do with these men? For that an evident sign has been done by them, is manifest to all that dwell in Jerusalem, and we can not deny it.
Gubhabhuyenenje, “Twaatendanje nndi bhene bhandunjibha? Pabha kila mundu atama pa Yelushalemu pano amumanyi kuti shishitendeka shilapo na uwe tukakombola kutauka shenesho.
17 But that it may spread no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, so that they speak no more to any man in this name.
Ikabheje nkupinga kuibhila shene shindushi shinapunde kushuma kubhandu, twaaleyanje bhanakungulukanje na mundu jojowe ga lina lya a Yeshu.”
18 And they called them in, and commanded them to speak no more at all, nor to teach, in the name of Jesus.
Kwa nneyo gubhaashemilenje kabhili nkati, gubhaalimbiyenje bhanakungulukanje pa lugwinjili na wala bhanaajiganyanje bhandu ga mashili ga a Yeshu.
19 But Peter and John answering them, said: Whether it is right in the sight of God to obey you rather than God, judge you.
Ikabheje a Petili na a Yowana gubhaajangwilenje. “Nng'ukumulanje mwaashayenenji, shammbone shei, kumpilikanishiyanga mmanganya eu kwaapilikanishiya a Nnungu?
20 For we can not but speak the things that we have seen and heard.
Pabha uwe tukaleka bheleketa ga ituibhweni na ituipilikene.”
21 And when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing for which they could punish them, because of the people; for they all glorified God on account of that which had been done;
Bhai bhanangulungwa bha lukumbi bhala gubhaakalipilenje kwa kaje, kungai gubhaaleshelelenje. Bhangaaukumulanga pabha bhandunji bhowe bhatendaga kwaakuyanga a Nnungu kwa ligongo lya gakoposhele gala.
22 for the man on whom this sign of healing had been performed was more than forty years old.
Mundu alamiywe jula paaliji jwa yaka ya punda makumi nsheshe.
23 And having been released, they went to their own, and told all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
A Petili na a Yowana shangupe bhakaleshelelwanjeje, gubhapitengenenje kwa bhaakulupalila ajabhonji, gubhaatalashiyenje yowe ibhabhalanjilwenje na bhakulungwanji bha bhaabhishila na bhanangulungwa.
24 And when they heard it, they lifted up their voice with one consent to God, and said: Lord, thou art God, who didst make the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all things that are in them; who, by the mouth of David thy servant, didst say,
Bhalabhonji bhakapilikananjeje genego, gubhatemingenenje pamo nikwaajuga a Nnungu bhalinkutinji, “Mmakulungwa, mmwe mpengenye shilambolyo na bhaali na yowe ili nkati jakwe!
25 Why did the heathen rage, and the people devise vain things?
Mmwe mwaatendile bhatumishi bhenu, ainabhetu a Daudi, bhabhelekete kwa mashili gaka Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo kuti, ‘Kwa nndi bhailambo ina bhashishimwanga? Pakuti bhandunji bhanaatendanga lukumbi?
26 The kings of the land stood up, and the rulers met together against the Lord and against his anointed.
Bhapalume bha shilambolyo bhashikwishimilikanga, na bhatawala bhashiimana pamo nkwaakana Bhakulungwa na a Kilishitu bhabho.’
27 For, in truth, against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, did meet together,
“Pabha, kweli a Elode na a Pontio Pilato na bhandunji bha pa Ishilaeli na bhandunji bha ilambo ina bhaimenenje pannjini pano, nkwaakana a Yeshu Bhatumishi bhenu bha Ukonjelo bhumwaagwile.
28 to do whatever thy hand and thy counsel determined to be done.
Elo, bhashinkuimananga nkupinga bhatendanje gene gumwatumbilile na panga bhukalago kwa mashili genu mmayene malinga shimwapinjile.
29 And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings, and grant to thy servants that they may speak thy word with all boldness,
Ikabheje nnaino, Mmakulungwa nnole shibhakuti kutujogoyanga. Ntushimilishe tulunguye lilobhe lyenu gwangali jogopa.
30 by stretching out thy hand to heal, that both signs and wonders may be done through the name of thy holy child Jesus.
Nngoloye nkono gwenu mwaalamyanje bhandu. Ntende ilangulo na ilapo kwa mashili ga lina lya a Yeshu Bhatumishi bhenu bha Ukonjelo.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the word of God with boldness.
Bhakamaliyanjeje kujuga Nnungu, pene pubhaimenenje pala pakutenganywaga, na bhowenji gubhagumbelwenje na Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo. Bhowe gubhapundilenje kulunguya lilobhe lya a Nnungu gwangali jogopa.
32 And the multitude of believers were of one heart and of one soul; and no one said that any part of his possessions was his own; but they had all things in common.
Nkumbi gowe gwa bhaakulupalila pugwaaliji na ntima gumo na ng'aniyo yabhonji imope. Jwakwapi akwetele shindu shakwe, ikabheje bhatendaga gabhana indu yowe ibhakwetenje.
33 And with great power did the apostles bear testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was on them all.
Mitume bhatendaga kong'ondelanga kwa mashili kuyuka kwa Bhakulungwa a Yeshu, na a Nnungu gubhaapelenje mboka yaigwinji.
34 Nor, indeed, was there any needy person among them; for as many as were owners of lands or houses, sold them, and brought the prices of what had been sold,
Akapagwaga wala mundu jumo atubhilwaga na shindu, pabha bhakwetenje migunda eu nyumba bhatendaga ushanga
35 and laid them down at the feet of the apostles; and distribution was made to every one as he had need.
nikwaakamuyanga mitume ela ila, nigabhanya kwa kila mundu malinga shapingaga.
36 And Joses, who, by the apostles, was surnamed Barnabas, (which name, when translated, is, Son of consolation, ) a Levite, by birth a Cyprian,
Bhashinkupagwa Bhalawi bhamo, bha ku Kipulo, lina lyabho a Yoshepu, mitume pubhaashemangaga a Bhanabha, malombolelo gakwe “Mundu ataga ntima”.
37 having land, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the feet of the apostles.
Na bhalabho bhashinkukola nngunda, gubhaushiye, gubhatolile ela ila gubhapite kamuya kwa ashimitume.
