2 Thessalonians 2
1 But, we beseech you, brethren, concerning the coming of; our Lord Jesus Christ, and our coming together to him,
Ora irmãos, nós vos rogamos quanto à vinda de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e à nossa reunião com ele,
2 that you be not hastily shaken from the persuasion of your mind, nor be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by report, nor by letter as written by us, as though the day of the Lord is at hand.
Que vós não vos abaleis facilmente em [vosso] entendimento, e não [vos] perturbeis, nem por espírito, nem por palavra, nem por carta como que [escrita] por nós, como se o dia de Cristo [já] estivesse perto.
3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come, unless the apostasy come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
Ninguém vos engane em maneira nenhuma; porque [não virá esse dia] sem que primeiro venha a apostasia, e se manifeste o homem da injustiça, o filho da perdição.
4 who opposes and exalts himself above every one that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, openly showing him self that he is God.
O qual se opõe e se levanta sobre tudo o que se chama Deus, ou [sobre] tudo que é adorado; por isso ele se sentará no templo de Deus, fazendo-se parecer Deus.
5 Do you not remember that, while I was with you, I told you these things?
Não vos lembrais, que enquanto ainda estava convosco, eu vos dizia estas coisas?
6 And now you know what restrains, in order that he may be revealed in his own proper time.
E agora sabeis o que o detém, para que a seu próprio tempo seja manifestado.
7 For the mystery of iniquity is already at work; only he that now restrains will restrain, till he be taken out of the way:
Porque o mistério da injustiça já opera; só [há] aquele que agora o detém, até que seja [tirado] do meio.
8 and then shall that lawless one be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy by the spirit of his mouth, and will utterly overthrow by the brightness of his coming:
E então será manifestado aquele injusto, ao qual o Senhor destruirá, pelo sopro de sua boca, e o aniquilará pelo aparecimento de sua vinda;
9 he will destroy him, whose coming is, according to the energy of Satan, with all power and signs and wonders of falsehood,
[Aquele injusto] cuja vinda é conforme o agir de Satanás, com todo poder, e sinais, e milagres falsos.
10 and with all the delusion of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, in order that they might be saved.
E com todo engano de injustiça nos que perecem; porque não receberam o amor da verdade para se salvarem.
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, in order that they may believe a lie,
E por isso Deus lhes enviará a ação do erro, para que creiam na mentira.
12 that all may be condemned who believe not the truth, but have pleasure in unrighteousness.
Para que sejam condenados todos os que não creram na verdade, mas tiveram prazer na injustiça.
13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God did, from the beginning, choose you to salvation, by sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth,
Mas sempre devemos dar graças a Deus por vós, irmãos, que sois amados pelo Senhor, pois Deus vos escolheu desde o princípio para a salvação, em santificação do Espírito, e fé na verdade;
14 to which he called you by our gospel, in order that you might obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Para a qual ele vos chamou por meio do nosso Evangelho, para a obtenção da glória de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word or by our letter.
Portanto, irmãos, ficai firmes, e retende as tradições que vos foram ensinadas, seja por palavra, seja por carta nossa.
16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who has loved us, and given us eternal consolation and good hope through grace, (aiōnios g166)
E ele mesmo, o nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e nosso Deus e Pai, que nos amou e em graça nos deu uma eterna consolação e boa esperança; (aiōnios g166)
17 comfort your hearts, and strengthen you in every good word and work.
Ele console vossos corações, e vos fortaleça em toda boa palavra e obra.
