2 Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers also among you; and these will stealthily introduce ruinous sects, and deny the Lord that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction:
E tambem houve entre o povo falsos prophetas, como entre vós haverá tambem falsos doutores, que introduzirão encobertamente heresias de perdição, e negarão o Senhor que os resgatou, trazendo sobre si mesmos repentina perdição.
2 and many will follow their dissolute ways, on account of whom the way of truth will be reviled;
E muitos seguirão as suas perdições, pelos quaes será blasphemado o caminho da verdade.
3 and, with delusive words, they will, through covetousness, make gain of you: the condemnation, long ago denounced against these, delays not, and their destruction does not slumber.
E por avareza farão de vós negocio com palavras fingidas: sobre os quaes já de largo tempo não está ociosa a condemnação, e a sua perdição não dormita.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and delivered them over to chains of darkness, to be kept for judgment; (Tartaroō g5020)
Porque, se Deus não perdoou aos anjos que peccaram, mas, havendo-os lançado no inferno, os entregou ás cadeias da escuridão, ficando reservados para o juizo; (Tartaroō g5020)
5 and if he spared not the old world, but brought a flood on the world of the ungodly, and saved Noah, the eighth person, who was a preacher of righteousness;
E não perdoou ao mundo antigo, mas guardou a Noé, oitavo pregoeiro da justiça, trazendo o diluvio sobre o mundo dos impios;
6 and if, turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, he condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those who should afterward live in an ungodly manner,
E condemnou á subversão as cidades de Sodoma e Gomorrah, reduzindo-as a cinza, e pondo-as para exemplo aos que vivessem impiamente;
7 and delivered righteous Lot, wearied out with the licentious conduct of the lawless, ―
E livrou o justo Lot, enfadado da vida dissoluta dos homens abominaveis
8 for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds:
(Porque este justo, habitando entre elles, affligia todos os dias a sua alma justa, vendo e ouvindo suas obras injustas);
9 then, the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to keep the ungodly for the day of judgment, to be punished;
Assim, sabe o Senhor livrar da tentação os piedosos, e reservar os injustos para o dia de juizo, para serem castigados;
10 but especially those who walk after the flesh in unclean lust, and who despise government. Presumptuous, willful men! they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries:
E principalmente aos que segundo a carne andam em concupiscencias de immundicia, e desprezam as dominações; atrevidos, agradando-se a si mesmos, não receiando blasphemar das dignidades;
11 whereas angels, who excel in might and in power, bring no railing accusation against them in the presence of the Lord.
Ao passo que os anjos, sendo maiores em força e poder, não pronunciam contra elles juizo blasphemo diante do Senhor.
12 But these men, like beasts with out reason, which follow the instinct of nature, and are made to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil of things that they understand not, shall utterly perish in their own corruption,
Mas estes, como animaes irracionaes, que seguem a natureza, feitos para serem presos e mortos, blasphemando do que não entendem, perecerão na sua corrupção,
13 and receive the reward of unrighteousness. Counting it a pleasure to riot in the day-time, they are spots and stains, rioting in their delusions, while feasting with you;
Recebendo o galardão da injustiça, tendo por prazer as delicias quotidianas, sendo nodoas e maculas, deleitando-se seus enganos, em ainda que se banqueteiem comvosco;
14 having eyes that are full of the adulteress, and that can not cease from sin, deceiving unstable souls, having a heart exercised in covetousness, accursed children,
Tendo os olhos cheios de adulterio, e não cessando de peccar, engodando as almas inconstantes, tendo o coração exercitado na avareza, filhos de maldição,
15 who have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
Os quaes, deixando o caminho direito, erraram seguindo o caminho de Balaão, filho de Bosor, que amou o galardão da injustiça;
16 but he was rebuked for his iniquity, ―the dumb beast, speaking with man’s voice, restrained the madness of the prophet.
Porém teve a reprehensão da sua transgressão; o mudo animal do jugo, fallando com voz humana, impediu a loucura do propheta.
17 These men are fountains without water, clouds driven by a tempest, for whom the gloom of darkness is reserved forever. (questioned)
Estes são fontes sem agua, nuvens levadas pelo redemoinho do vento: para os quaes a escuridão das trevas eternamente se reserva. (questioned)
18 For by speaking boastful words of folly, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, and through lasciviousness, those who had really escaped from those who live in error.
Porque, fallando coisas mui arro- gantes de vaidades, engodam com as concupiscencias da carne, e com dissoluções, aos que se estavam affastando d'aquelles que andam em erro:
19 While they promise them freedom, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for by whatever any man is overcome, he is also enslaved.
Promettendo-lhes liberdade, sendo elles mesmos servos da corrupção. Porque de quem alguem é vencido, do tal faz-se tambem servo.
20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world, through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in these, and overcome by them, the last state of such is worse than the first.
Porque se, depois de terem escapado das corrupções do mundo, pelo conhecimento do Senhor e Salvador Jesus Christo, forem outra vez envolvidos n'ellas e vencidos, tornou-se-lhes o ultimo estado peior do que o primeiro.
21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
Porque melhor lhes fôra não conhecerem o caminho da justiça, do que, conhecendo-o, desviarem-se do sancto mandamento que lhes fôra dado;
22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: The dog has turned again to his own vomit; and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.
Porém sobreveiu-lhes o que por um verdadeiro proverbio se diz: O cão voltou ao seu proprio vomito, e a porca lavada ao espojadouro da lama.
