2 John 1
1 The elder to the elect lady, and to her children, whom I love in the truth: and not I only, but also all who know the truth;
El anciano a la señora escogida y a sus hijos, a quienes yo amo en verdad, y no solo yo, sino también todos los que conocen la Verdad,
2 we all love you, on account of the truth that dwells in us, and which will be with us forever: (aiōn g165)
por medio de la Verdad que permanece en nosotros y se quedará para siempre con nosotros. (aiōn g165)
3 grace be with you, mercy and peace from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
Gracia, misericordia y paz de Dios Padre y de Jesucristo, su Hijo, estén con ustedes en verdad y amor.
4 I rejoiced greatly because I found some of your children walking in the truth, as we received commandment from the Father.
En gran manera me regocijé porque hallé [algunos] de tus hijos que viven en verdad, como recibimos Mandamiento del Padre.
5 And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
Ahora te ruego, señora, no como si te escribiera un Mandamiento nuevo, sino el que teníamos desde un principio: que nos amemos unos a otros.
6 And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
Éste es el amor: que vivamos según sus Mandamientos. Éste es el Mandamiento: que vivan en él, como oyeron desde un principio.
7 For many deceivers have entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ came in the flesh: this is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Porque muchos engañadores salieron al mundo quienes no confiesan que Jesucristo vino en forma corporal. Éste es el impostor y el anticristo.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not the things that we have gained, but that we receive a full reward.
Cuídense ustedes mismos para que no destruyan las cosas que nos forjamos, sino que reciban completa recompensa.
9 Whoever transgresses, and abides not in the teaching of the Christ, has not God: he that abides in the teaching of the Christ, has both the Father and the Son.
Todo el que se desvía de la doctrina de Cristo y no permanece en Él, no tiene a Dios. El que permanece en la doctrina tiene tanto al Padre como al Hijo.
10 If any one comes to you, and brings not this teaching, receive him not into your house, and do not wish him well:
Si alguno viene a ustedes y no tiene esta doctrina, no lo reciban en casa ni le digan: ¡Bienvenido!
11 for he that wishes him well, is partaker of his evil deeds.
Porque el que le dice bienvenido participa en sus malas obras.
12 Though I have many things to write to you, I determined not to communicate them by means of paper and ink: for I hope to come to you, and to speak mouth to mouth, that our joy may be full.
Aunque tengo muchas cosas que escribirles, no quise hacerlo por medio de papel y tinta, sino espero estar con ustedes y hablar cara a cara, para que nuestro gozo sea completado.
13 The children of your elect sister greet you.
Los hijos de tu hermana, la elegida, te saludan.
