< 1 Timothy 4 >

1 Now the Spirit says expressly, that, in the last times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and teachings suggested by demons,
Ngmüimkhya naw angsinga a pyen ta law khaia kcüne üng khyang avange naw jumnak hawih u lü ngmüimkhya k’hleie jah kcang na u lü khawyaiea mtheimthange cun läklam law khaie ni.
2 through the hypocrisy of liars, who are seared in their conscience,
Hleihlakiea tuivetnak am ahina ngtheinak cun ngthang hüki, ami ksingkhyapnake thi lü mthi ngling naw jah uiawngki.
3 who forbid to marry, and command to abstain from meats, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe, and know the truth.
Acuna khyange naw akhyesawh calaknak ja eiawk avang käh ei vaia jah mtheikie. Jenak mtheh lü ktaiyü käna ei vaia Pamhnam naw acuna eiawk cun a mhnünmceng ni, acun hin ngthungtak ksing lawki he ja jumeikiea phäh ni.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it be received with thanksgiving;
Pamhnama mhnünmceng naküt hin dawkia kyase mah vai i am ve, lüpi jenak mtheh lü ktaiyünak am dokham vai ni,
5 for it is sanctified by the word of God, and by prayer.
isetiakyaküng Pamhnama ngthu ja ktaiyünak cun Pamhnam naw dokhameiki ni.
6 By recommending these things to the attention of the brethren, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, being nourished with the words of the faith, and of good teaching, which you have fully known.
Namät naw ngmüimkhya lama jumeinak ngthu eiaw lü cangkia ngtheinak na läklam pänga kba, ahina mcuhmthehnake jumeikie üng na jah pet üng nang cun Khritaw Jesuha mpya kdawa na kya khai.
7 But reject those profane and old-womanish fables, and exercise yourself for godliness.
Pyensaka am dawki he, khuikame üngkhyüh akthuka vea. Pamhnam ksingnaka kcünsak üng na mät ngtuinglenga.
8 For the exercise of the body is profitable for little; but godliness is profitable for all things, and has the promise of the life that now is, and also of that which is to come.
Pumsa thületnak cun dawki ni; acun sepi, Ngmüimkhya lama thületnak hin anaküt üng daw bawki ni, isetikyaküng, ahin cun naw malam ja atuha kcün sak xawia phäh khyütam jah peki ni.
9 This is a true saying, and worthy of all acceptation:
Ahin cun cangkia pyensaka kya lü jumei lü dokham vai kunga kyaki.
10 for to this end we both labor, and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
Bawngkha lü mi khüiki, isetiakyaküng, aktunga ani jumei lü avana küikyan Bawia kya lü xüngseiki Pamhnama vei mi äpeinak mi taki.
11 These things command and teach.
Ahina mcuhmthehnake ja ngtheinake cän jah pea.
12 Let no one despise your youth; but be an example to the believers, in word, in behavior, in love, in spirit, in faithfulness, in purity.
Na dik hama phäh u naw pi käh ning mdihmsui se. Na pyensak, na vecawh, na mhläkphyanak, na jumeinak ja na ngcimcaihnake cun jumeikie naw a ning hjutuih vaia thawna.
13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
Ka law vei cäpa, khyangea veia Cangcim khehnak, ngthu sangnak ja mtheinak üng na kcün pe lü biloa.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given you according to prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
Na khana sahmae naw pyen u lü ngvaie naw ami kut mtaih üng Ngmüimkhyaa ning peta bänak cän am hnaläüei lü käh ve bä.
15 Meditate upon these things; give yourself wholly to them, that your advancement may be manifest in all things.
Khyang avan naw na dämduh a ning hmuh vai ua, ahine cän jah ktha na lü ngapei kawm pi.
16 Take heed to yourself, and to your teaching; continue in them; for by doing this, you will save both yourself, and those who hear you.
Namät pi mcei lü na jah mtheinak pi mcei bä. Ahine cun msu lü pawh bä, isetiakyaküng, ahine na pawh ta ning ngjakie ja namät kung pi ning jah küikyan khai ni.
