1 Peter 4
1 Since, then, Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, do you also arm yourselves with the same determination; for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
Kanaafuu waan Kiristoos foon isaatiin dhiphateef isinis yaaduma akkasiitiin hidhadhaa; sababiin isaas inni fooniin dhiphate cubbuu dhiiseera.
2 so that he no longer lives the rest of his time in the flesh, according to the desires of men, but according to the will of God.
Kanaafuu inni bara jireenya isaa kan foonii isa hafe sana akka fedhii Waaqaatti jiraata malee akka hawwii namaatti hin jiraatu.
3 For the time past of our life should be enough for us to have worked the will of the Gentiles, while we walked in licentiousness, lusts, drunkenness, revelings, drinkings, and unlawful idolatries.
Yeroon isin duraan waan ormoonni hojjechuu jaallatan sana jechuunis jireenya gad dhiisii irratti, hawwii foonii irratti, machii irratti, addaggummaa irratti, gar malee dhuguu fi waaqeffannaa waaqota tolfamoo kan jibbisiisaa taʼe irratti balleessitan sun haa gaʼu.
4 They are amazed at this―that you run not with them into the same excess of debauchery, and they revile you.
Isaanis sababii isin gara jireenya gad dhiisii akkasiitti isaan wajjin hin fiigneef ni dinqisiifatu; isin arrabsus.
5 These shall give an account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.
Garuu isaan Waaqa warra jiranii fi warra duʼanitti muruuf qophaaʼe sana duratti deebii ni kennu.
6 For this cause, indeed, even those who have died had the gospel preached to them, that though they might be judged according to the will of men in the flesh, yet they might live according to the will of God in the spirit.
Kanaafuu karaa fooniitiin akkuma namaatti akka isaanitti muramuuf, karaa hafuuraatiin immoo akka Waaqaatti akka jiraataniif wangeelli warra duʼanii jiranitti iyyuu lallabameera.
7 But the end of all things is at hand; be sober-minded, therefore, and watchful, that you may pray.
Dhumni waan hundaa dhiʼaateera. Kanaaf akka Waaqa kadhachuu dandeessaniif dammaqaa; warra of qabanis taʼaa.
8 But, above all things, have fervent love one for another; for love will cover a multitude of sins.
Waan hunda caalaatti jaalala hoʼaa waliif qabaadhaa; jaalalli cubbuu baayʼee dhoksaatii.
9 Be hospitable, one to another, without murmuring.
Guungummii malee wal keessumsiisaa.
10 As each has received a gift, minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Tokkoon tokkoon namaa kennaa warra kaan tajaajiluuf argate kam iyyuu akkuma abbaa imaanaa amanamaa kan ayyaana Waaqaa bifa garaa gaaraatiin jiru sanaa tokkootti itti fayyadamuu qaba.
11 If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God: if any man acts as a deacon, let him do this as from the strength which God supplies; that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory and strength from age to age. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Namni dubbatu kam iyyuu akka nama dubbii Waaqaa dubbatuutti haa dubbatu. Namni tajaajilu kam iyyuu akka Waaqni waan hunda keessatti karaa Yesuus Kiristoosiin galateeffamuuf jedhee jabina Waaqni isaaf kenneen haa tajaajilu. Ulfinnii fi humni bara baraa hamma bara baraatti isaaf haa taʼu. Ameen. (aiōn g165)
12 Beloved, be not amazed at the fiery trial that has come on you to try you, as if some strange thing had happened to you.
Yaa michoota jaallatamoo, qorama akka ibiddaa kan amma ittiin dhiphachaa jirtan kana akka waan wanni haaraan isinitti dhufeetti hin dinqisiifatinaa.
13 But, inasmuch as you are partakers of the sufferings of the Christ, rejoice, that, at the revelation of his glory, you may also be exceedingly joyful.
Garuu isin yeroo ulfinni isaa mulʼatutti akka baayʼee gammaddaniif waan dhiphina Kiristoos keessatti qooda fudhattaniif gammadaa.
14 If you are reproached on account of Christ, happy are you: for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you. On their part he is reviled, but on your part he is glorified:
Yoo maqaa Kiristoosiitiif jettanii arrabsamtan isin eebbifamoo dha; Hafuurri ulfinaatii fi Hafuurri Waaqaa isin irra boqotaatii.
15 for no one of you should suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
Isin keessaa namni kam iyyuu akka nama nama ajjeesuutti yookaan akka hattuutti yookaan akka nama yakka hojjetuutti yookaan akka nama dubbii namaa keessa seenuutti hin dhiphatin.
16 But if any one suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this account.
Garuu namni tokko yoo sababii Kiristaana taʼeef dhiphate maqaa sanaan Waaqa haa galateeffatu malee hin qaanaʼin.
17 For the time has come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of those who obey not the gospel of God?
Yeroon itti murtiin mana Waaqaatii jalqabu dhiʼaateeraatii; murtiin kun yoo nurratti jalqaba taʼe dhumni warra wangeela Waaqaatiif hin ajajamnee akkam haa taʼu ree?
18 And if the righteous man is hardly saved, where shall the ungodly man and the sinner appear?
“Erga qajeeltonni fayyuun rakkisaa taʼe, namni Waaqatti hin bullee fi cubbamaan maal haa taʼu ree?”
19 Wherefore, let those also who suffer according to the will of God, by doing good, commit their souls to him as to a faithful Creator.
Kanaafuu warri akka fedhii Waaqaatti dhiphatan lubbuu isaanii Uumaa isaanii amanamaa sanatti imaanaa kennatanii waan gaarii hojjechuutti haa fufan.
