< 1 Peter 3 >

1 Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they may, without the word, be won by the conduct of their wives,
Saizvozvo vakadzi, muzviise pasi pevarume venyu pachenyu; kuti kanawo vamwe vasingateereri kushoko, vawanikwe nemafambiro evakadzi pasina shoko,
2 by observing your blameless and reverential conduct.
vachiona mafambiro enyu akachena pakutya.
3 Let not your adorning be that which is outward, which consists in plaiting the hair, and wearing gold, and putting on apparel:
Kushonga kwenyu ngakurege kuva kwekunze kwekuruka vhudzi nekwekupfeka goridhe, kana kupfeka nguvo;
4 but let it be the hidden man of the heart, adorned with the incorruptible ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which, in the sight of God, is of great price.
asi ngakuve munhu wakavanzika wemoyo, pachinhu chisingaori chemweya munyoro wakanyarara, anokosha zvikuru pamberi paMwari.
5 For, in former times, the holy women also, who trusted in God, thus adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands,
Nokuti karewo vakazvishongedza saizvozvo vakadzi vatsvene vaivimba naMwari, vachizviisa pasi pevarume vavo pachavo;
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: and you are her children, if you do good, and fear no dismay.
saSara akateerera Abhurahama akamuidza ishe; vakunda vake vamuri imwi, kana muchiita zvakanaka, uye musingatyiswi nechipi nechipi chinovhundusa.
7 Likewise, you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, bestowing honor on the wife as the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.
Saizvozvo varume, garisanai nevakadzi venyu zvinoenderana neruzivo, muchikudza mukadzi sekumudziyo usina simba, sevadyiwo venhaka yenyasha dzeupenyu pamwe navo; kuti minyengetero yenyu irege kudzivirirwa.
8 Finally, be all of the same mind, be sympathizing, lovers of the brethren, kind-hearted, humble-minded;
Pakupedzisirawo, ivai nemoyo umwe mese, muchinzwirana tsitsi, mude hama, muve nemoyo munyoro, mune rudo;
9 not repaying evil for evil, nor reviling for reviling, but, on the other hand, blessing, since you know that for this end you were called, that you might inherit blessing.
musingatsivi chakaipa nechakaipa, kana kutuka nekutuka; asi pachinzvimbo chaizvozvo muchiropafadze, muchiziva kuti ndizvo zvamakadanirwa, kuti mugare nhaka yeropafadzo.
10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile:
Nokuti uyo anoda kuda upenyu, nekuona mazuva akanaka, ngaadzore rurimi rwake pane zvakaipa, nemiromo yake kuti irege kutaura kunyengera.
11 let him turn from evil and do good: let him seek peace, and pursue it.
Ngaatsauke pane zvakaipa ndokuita zvakanaka; ngaatsvake rugare arutevere.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry: but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Nokuti meso aIshe ari pamusoro pevakarurama, nenzeve dzake pamunyengetero wavo. Asi chiso chaIshe chinopikisa vanoita zvakaipa.
13 And who is he that will harm you, if you be followers of that which is good?
Zvino ndiani achakukuvadzai, kana muri vatevedzeri vezvakanaka?
14 But yet, if you even suffer for righteousness, happy are you. Yet fear not their terror, nor be troubled:
Asi kunyange kana imwi muchitambudzika nekuda kwekururama, makaropafadzwa; uye musatya kutyisa kwavo, kana kuvhiringidzwa;
15 but reverence the Lord God in your hearts, and be always ready to answer every one that asks of you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
asi itai Ishe Mwari mutsvene mumoyo yenyu; mugare makazvigadzirira kupindura umwe neumwe anokubvunzai chikonzero chetariro iri mukati menyu, neunyoro nekutya;
16 having a good conscience, that, inasmuch as they speak against you as evil-doers, they may be ashamed who traduce your good con duct in Christ.
mune hana yakanaka, kuti pavanokucherai sevaiti vezvakaipa vanyare, ivo vanotuka mafambiro enyu akanaka muna Kristu.
17 For it is better, if such be the will of God, that you suffer for doing good, than for doing evil.
Nokuti zviri nani kutambudzika muchiita zvakanaka, kana chido chaMwari chichida, pane muchiita zvakaipa.
18 For Christ also once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, having been put to death in flesh, but made alive in spirit;
Nokuti Kristuwo wakatambudzika kamwe nekuda kwezvivi, iye wakarurama pachinzvimbo chevasakarurama, kuti atiise kuna Mwari; aurawa zvirokwazvo panyama, asi wakararamiswa neMweya;
19 in which also he went and preached to the spirits in prison,
mauri wakaendawo akaparidzira kumweya iri mutirongo,
20 who formerly were disobedient, when the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while an ark was preparing, in which few, that is, eight souls, were brought in safety through the water;
iyo yaimbova isingateereri, apo moyo murefu waMwari uchimirira, pamazuva aNowa apo areka ichagadzirwa, kukaponeswa mairi vashoma, ndiko kuti mweya misere nemvura.
21 the likeness of which, even immersion, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the seeking of a good conscience toward God, ) does now also save us, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Mufananidzo wayo rubhabhatidzo rwunotiponesawo ikozvino, kwete kubviswa kwetsvina yenyama, asi kukumbira kwehana yakanaka kuna Mwari kubudikidza nekumukazve kwaJesu Kristu,
22 who has gone into heaven, and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having become subject to him.
ari kuruoko rwerudyi rwaMwari aenda kudenga; vatumwa neumambo nemasimba zvaiswa pasi pake.
