< 1 Corinthians 13 >

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become as sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.
Taani asa qaalanne kiitanchcho qaala odettanaw dandda7ikkoka, taw siiqoy dhayikko, coo giiriya daala mela.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.
Tinbbite odiya imoy taw de7ikkoka, xuura ubbaa erikkoka, eratethi ubbay de7ikkoka, qassi deriya denthidi harasoo efiya ammanoy taw de7ikkoka, siiqoy dhayikko, ta aykkoka gidikke.
3 And though I give all my goods to feed the poor, and though I deliver up my body to be burned, and have not love, I am profited nothing.
Taw de7iyaba ubbaa manqotas immikokka, hari attoshin, tana tamas aatha immikokka, siiqoy dhayikko tana aykkoka maaddenna.
4 Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love boasts not; is not vain,
Siiqoy dandda7anchcho. Siiqoy keeha. Siiqoy qanaatenna. Siiqoy ceeqettenna. Siiqoy otorenna.
5 does nothing unbecoming, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil,
Siiqoy bessonnabaa oothenna. Siiqoy uuzettenna. Siiqoy yilotenna. Siiqoy ba qoho paydenna.
6 rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
Siiqoy tuman ufayttesippe attin worddon ufayttenna.
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Siiqoy ubbaa dandda7ees; ubbaa ammanees; lo77obay hanana gidi, ufayssan naagees; ubbaa genccees.
8 Love never fails; but whether there be gifts of prophecy, they shall have an end; or tongues, they shall cease; or knowledge, it shall have an end.
Siiqoy wurssethi gakkanaw dhayenna. Shin tinbbitey attana; dumma dumma doonan odetteyssi attana; eratethika aadhdhana.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
Nu eratethaafe guuthi eroos; tinbbitiyappe baggaa odoos.
10 but when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part shall have an end.
Shin polo gididayssi yaa wode polo gidonnayssi attana.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I had the mind of a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Taani na7a de7iya wode na7ada haasays; na7ada qoppays; na7ada akeekays. Ta kahaamida wode na7atetha hanuwa aggas.
12 Now we see through a mirror, obscurely; but then, face to face; now I know in part, but then shall I know, even as I am known.
Ha77i poo7oy baynna son masttoten be7eyssada be7oos, shin he wode nu qonccen be7ana. Ha77i nu eratethaafe guutha eroos, shin he wode Xoossay nuna ereyssada polo erana.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Hiza, ammanoy, ufayssinne siiqoy, ha heedzati eqqidi daana. Shin hayssatappe aadhdhey siiqo.
