Revelation 9
1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven fallen unto the earth: and there was given to him the key of the pit of the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
તતઃ પરં સપ્તમદૂતેન તૂર્ય્યાં વાદિતાયાં ગગનાત્ પૃથિવ્યાં નિપતિત એકસ્તારકો મયા દૃષ્ટઃ, તસ્મૈ રસાતલકૂપસ્ય કુઞ્જિકાદાયિ| (Abyssos g12)
2 And he opened the pit of the abyss; and there went up a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos g12)
તેન રસાતલકૂપે મુક્તે મહાગ્નિકુણ્ડસ્ય ધૂમ ઇવ ધૂમસ્તસ્માત્ કૂપાદ્ ઉદ્ગતઃ| તસ્માત્ કૂપધૂમાત્ સૂર્ય્યાકાશૌ તિમિરાવૃતૌ| (Abyssos g12)
3 And out of the smoke came forth locusts upon the earth; and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
તસ્માદ્ ધૂમાત્ પતઙ્ગેષુ પૃથિવ્યાં નિર્ગતેષુ નરલોકસ્થવૃશ્ચિકવત્ બલં તેભ્યોઽદાયિ|
4 And it was said unto them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only such men as have not the seal of God on their foreheads.
અપરં પૃથિવ્યાસ્તૃણાનિ હરિદ્વર્ણશાકાદયો વૃક્ષાશ્ચ તૈ ર્ન સિંહિતવ્યાઃ કિન્તુ યેષાં ભાલેષ્વીશ્વરસ્ય મુદ્રાયા અઙ્કો નાસ્તિ કેવલં તે માનવાસ્તૈ ર્હિંસિતવ્યા ઇદં ત આદિષ્ટાઃ|
5 And it was given them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when it striketh a man.
પરન્તુ તેષાં બધાય નહિ કેવલં પઞ્ચ માસાન્ યાવત્ યાતનાદાનાય તેભ્યઃ સામર્થ્યમદાયિ| વૃશ્ચિકેન દષ્ટસ્ય માનવસ્ય યાદૃશી યાતના જાયતે તૈરપિ તાદૃશી યાતના પ્રદીયતે|
6 And in those days men shall seek death, and shall in no wise find it; and they shall desire to die, and death fleeth from them.
તસ્મિન્ સમયે માનવા મૃત્યું મૃગયિષ્યન્તે કિન્તુ પ્રાપ્તું ન શક્ષ્યન્તિ, તે પ્રાણાન્ ત્યક્તુમ્ અભિલષિષ્યન્તિ કિન્તુ મૃત્યુસ્તેભ્યો દૂરં પલાયિષ્યતે|
7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared for war; and upon their heads as it were crowns like unto gold, and their faces were as men’s faces.
તેષાં પતઙ્ગાનામ્ આકારો યુદ્ધાર્થં સુસજ્જિતાનામ્ અશ્વાનામ્ આકારસ્ય તુલ્યઃ, તેષાં શિરઃસુ સુવર્ણકિરીટાનીવ કિરીટાનિ વિદ્યન્તે, મુખમણ્ડલાનિ ચ માનુષિકમુખતુલ્યાનિ,
8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as [the teeth] of lions.
કેશાશ્ચ યોષિતાં કેશાનાં સદૃશાઃ, દન્તાશ્ચ સિંહદન્તતુલ્યાઃ,
9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to war.
લૌહકવચવત્ તેષાં કવચાનિ સન્તિ, તેષાં પક્ષાણાં શબ્દો રણાય ધાવતામશ્વરથાનાં સમૂહસ્ય શબ્દતુલ્યઃ|
10 And they have tails like unto scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men five months.
વૃશ્ચિકાનામિવ તેષાં લાઙ્ગૂલાનિ સન્તિ, તેષુ લાઙ્ગૂલેષુ કણ્ટકાનિ વિદ્યન્તે, અપરં પઞ્ચ માસાન્ યાવત્ માનવાનાં હિંસનાય તે સામર્થ્યપ્રાપ્તાઃ|
11 They have over them as king the angel of the abyss: his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek [tongue] he hath the name Apollyon. (Abyssos g12)
તેષાં રાજા ચ રસાતલસ્ય દૂતસ્તસ્ય નામ ઇબ્રીયભાષયા અબદ્દોન્ યૂનાનીયભાષયા ચ અપલ્લુયોન્ અર્થતો વિનાશક ઇતિ| (Abyssos g12)
12 The first Woe is past: behold, there come yet two Woes hereafter.
પ્રથમઃ સન્તાપો ગતવાન્ પશ્ય ઇતઃ પરમપિ દ્વાભ્યાં સન્તાપાભ્યામ્ ઉપસ્થાતવ્યં|
13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God,
તતઃ પરં ષષ્ઠદૂતેન તૂર્ય્યાં વાદિતાયામ્ ઈશ્વરસ્યાન્તિકે સ્થિતાયાઃ સુવર્ણવેદ્યાશ્ચતુશ્ચૂડાતઃ કસ્યચિદ્ રવો મયાશ્રાવિ|
14 one saying to the sixth angel that had the trumpet, Loose the four angels that are bound at the great river Euphrates.
સ તૂરીધારિણં ષષ્ઠદૂતમ્ અવદત્, ફરાતાખ્યે મહાનદે યે ચત્વારો દૂતા બદ્ધાઃ સન્તિ તાન્ મોચય|
15 And the four angels were loosed, that had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they should kill the third part of men.
તતસ્તદ્દણ્ડસ્ય તદ્દિનસ્ય તન્માસસ્ય તદ્વત્સરસ્ય ચ કૃતે નિરૂપિતાસ્તે ચત્વારો દૂતા માનવાનાં તૃતીયાંશસ્ય બધાર્થં મોચિતાઃ|
16 And the number of the armies of the horsemen was twice ten thousand times ten thousand: I heard the number of them.
અપરમ્ અશ્વારોહિસૈન્યાનાં સંખ્યા મયાશ્રાવિ, તે વિંશતિકોટય આસન્|
17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates [as] of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone: and the heads of the horses are as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths proceedeth fire and smoke and brimstone.
મયા યે ઽશ્વા અશ્વારોહિણશ્ચ દૃષ્ટાસ્ત એતાદૃશાઃ, તેષાં વહ્નિસ્વરૂપાણિ નીલપ્રસ્તરસ્વરૂપાણિ ગન્ધકસ્વરૂપાણિ ચ વર્મ્માણ્યાસન્, વાજિનાઞ્ચ સિંહમૂર્દ્ધસદૃશા મૂર્દ્ધાનઃ, તેષાં મુખેભ્યો વહ્નિધૂમગન્ધકા નિર્ગચ્છન્તિ|
18 By these three plagues was the third part of men killed, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone, which proceeded out of their mouths.
એતૈસ્ત્રિભિ ર્દણ્ડૈરર્થતસ્તેષાં મુખેભ્યો નિર્ગચ્છદ્ભિ ર્વહ્નિધૂમગન્ધકૈ ર્માનુષાણાં તુતીયાંશો ઽઘાનિ|
19 For the power of the horses is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails are like unto serpents, and have heads; and with them they hurt.
તેષાં વાજિનાં બલં મુખેષુ લાઙ્ગૂલેષુ ચ સ્થિતં, યતસ્તેષાં લાઙ્ગૂલાનિ સર્પાકારાણિ મસ્તકવિશિષ્ટાનિ ચ તૈરેવ તે હિંસન્તિ|
20 And the rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk:
અપરમ્ અવશિષ્ટા યે માનવા તૈ ર્દણ્ડૈ ર્ન હતાસ્તે યથા દૃષ્ટિશ્રવણગમનશક્તિહીનાન્ સ્વર્ણરૌપ્યપિત્તલપ્રસ્તરકાષ્ઠમયાન્ વિગ્રહાન્ ભૂતાંશ્ચ ન પૂજયિષ્યન્તિ તથા સ્વહસ્તાનાં ક્રિયાભ્યઃ સ્વમનાંસિ ન પરાવર્ત્તિતવન્તઃ
21 and they repented not of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
સ્વબધકુહકવ્યભિચારચૌર્ય્યોભ્યો ઽપિ મનાંસિ ન પરાવર્ત્તિતવન્તઃ|
