Psalms 73
1 A Psalm of Asaph. Surely God is good to Israel, [Even] to such as are pure in heart.
১আসফের সঙ্গীত। সত্যিই ঈশ্বর, ইস্রায়েলের পক্ষে মঙ্গলময়, তাদের পক্ষে যাদের হৃদয় বিশুদ্ধ।
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; My steps had well nigh slipped.
২কিন্তু আমার পা প্রায় টলে গিয়েছিল; আমার পা প্রায় পিছলিয়ে গিয়েছিল।
3 For I was envious at the arrogant, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
৩কারণ আমি অহঙ্কারীদের প্রতি হিংসা করেছিলাম, যখন আমি অধার্মিকের বৃদ্ধি দেখলাম।
4 For there are no pangs in their death; But their strength is firm.
৪কারণ তাদের মৃত্যু না হওয়া পর্যন্ত তারা যন্ত্রণা পায় না, কিন্তু তারা শক্তিশালী ও খাদ্যে তৃপ্ত।
5 They are not in trouble as [other] men; Neither are they plagued like [other] men.
৫তারা অন্যান্য লোকদের বোঝা থেকে মুক্ত; তারা অন্যান্য লোকেদের মত কষ্ট পায়না।
6 Therefore pride is as a chain about their neck; Violence covereth them as a garment.
৬অহঙ্কার তাদের গলার হারের মত, হিংসা তাদের পোশাকের মত।
7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: They have more than heart could wish.
৭এই ধরনের অবিবেচনা থেকে পাপ উপস্থিত হয়, তাদের হৃদয় থেকে মন্দ চিন্তা বের হয়।
8 They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression: They speak loftily.
৮তারা বিদ্রুপ করে মন্দ কথা বলে, তারা গর্বের সঙ্গে হিংসার কথা বলে।
9 They have set their mouth in the heavens, And their tongue walketh through the earth.
৯তারা স্বর্গের বিরুদ্ধে কথা বলে এবং তাদের জিভ পৃথিবীকে প্রদক্ষিণে করে।
10 Therefore his people return hither: And waters of a full [cup] are drained by them.
১০এই জন্য ঈশ্বরের লোকেরা তাদের দিকে ফেরে এবং তারা তাদের মধ্যে কোনো দোষ পায় না।
11 And they say, How doth God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?
১১তারা বলে, “ঈশ্বর কি করে জানতে পারবেন? কি ঘটছে সেই বিষয়ে কি ঈশ্বর জানেন?”
12 Behold, these are the wicked; And, being alway at ease, they increase in riches.
১২দেখ এরাই অধার্ম্মিক, এরা চিরকাল নিশ্চিন্তে থেকে সম্পত্তি বৃদ্ধি করছে।
13 Surely in vain have I cleansed my heart, And washed my hands in innocency;
১৩নিশ্চয় আমি বৃথাই আমার হৃদয় পরিষ্কার করেছি এবং নিষ্কলঙ্কতায় আমার হাত ধুয়েছি।
14 For all the day long have I been plagued, And chastened every morning.
১৪কারণ আমি সমস্ত দিন ধরে আহত হয়েছি এবং প্রতি সকালে শাস্তি পেয়েছি।
15 If I had said, I will speak thus; Behold, I had dealt treacherously with the generation of thy children.
১৫যদি আমি বলতাম, “আমি এই বিষয়ে বলব,” তবে আমি, তোমার সন্তানদের বংশের প্রতি বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করতাম।
16 When I thought how I might know this, It was too painful for me;
১৬যদিও আমি এই বিষয়ে বোঝার চেষ্টা করলাম, কিন্তু তা আমার জন্য খুবই কঠিন বিষয় ছিল,
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God, And considered their latter end.
১৭তখন আমি ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র স্থানে প্রবেশ করলাম এবং তাদের ভবিষ্যতের বিষয়ে বুঝতে পারলাম।
18 Surely thou settest them in slippery places: Thou castest them down to destruction.
১৮তুমি নিশ্চই তাদেরকে পিছল জায়গায় রাখবে; তুমি তাদেরকে ধ্বংসে নামিয়ে নিয়ে আসছ।
19 How are they become a desolation in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.
১৯তারা এক নিমেষের মধ্যে কিভাবে মরুপ্রান্তে পরিণত হয়! তারা শেষ মুহূর্তে উপস্থিত হয় এবং বিভিন্ন ত্রাসে কেমন ধ্বংস হয়।
20 As a dream when one awaketh, So, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou wilt despise their image.
২০স্বপ্ন থেকে যেমন একজন জেগে ওঠে তারা ঠিক তেমন; তেমনি হে প্রভু, তুমি যখন জেগে উঠবে তুমিও সেই স্বপ্নের বিষয়ে আর কিছু চিন্তা করবে না।
21 For my soul was grieved, And I was pricked in my heart:
২১কারণ আমার হৃদয় দুঃখীত হল এবং আমি গভীরভাবে আহত হয়েছি;
22 So brutish was I, and ignorant; I was [as] a beast before thee.
২২আমি মূর্খ ও অজ্ঞান, আমি তোমার কাছে পশুর মত অসার ছিলাম।
23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: Thou hast holden my right hand.
২৩কিন্তু আমি সব দিন তোমার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে আছি; তুমি আমার ডান হাত ধরে রেখেছ।
24 Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, And afterward receive me to glory.
২৪তুমি তোমার উপদেশে আমাকে পরিচালনা করবে এবং শেষে আমাকে মহিমায় গ্রহণ করবে।
25 Whom have I in heaven [but thee]? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee.
২৫কিন্তু তুমি ছাড়া স্বর্গে আমার আর কে আছে? পৃথিবীতে তোমাকে ছাড়া পৃথিবীতে আমি আর কোন কিছুর বাসনা করি না।
26 My flesh and my heart faileth; [But] God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.
২৬আমার দেহ ও আমার হৃদয় ক্ষয় হচ্ছে, কিন্তু ঈশ্বর চিরকালের জন্য আমার হৃদয়ের শক্তি ও আমার অধিকার।
27 For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: Thou hast destroyed all them that play the harlot, [departing] from thee.
২৭যারা তোমার থেকে দূরে থাকে, তারা ধ্বংস হবে; যারা তোমার প্রতি অবিশ্বস্ত তুমি তাদের ধ্বংস করবে।
28 But it is good for me to draw near unto God: I have made the Lord Jehovah my refuge, That I may tell of all thy works.
২৮কিন্তু আমার যা করা উচিত তা হল ঈশ্বরের কাছে নিজেকে নিয়ে যাওয়া। আমি প্রভু সদাপ্রভুুকে আমার দূর্গ স্বরূপ বানিয়েছি, আমি তোমার সমস্ত কাজের বিষয়ে বর্ণনা করব।
