Psalms 119
1 Blessed are they that are perfect in the way, Who walk in the law of Jehovah.
Berbahagialah orang yang hidupnya tidak bercela dan taat kepada hukum-hukum TUHAN.
2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, That seek him with the whole heart.
Berbahagialah orang yang mengikuti perintah-Nya, dan dengan segenap hati berusaha mengenal TUHAN.
3 Yea, they do no unrighteousness; They walk in his ways.
Berbahagialah orang yang hidup menurut kehendak TUHAN, dan tidak melakukan kejahatan.
4 Thou hast commanded [us] thy precepts, That we should observe them diligently.
Engkau memberi kami hukum-Mu, ya TUHAN, supaya kami melakukannya dengan setia.
5 Oh that my ways were established To observe thy statutes!
Semoga aku dengan hati teguh mengikuti peraturan-peraturan-Mu.
6 Then shall I not be put to shame, When I have respect unto all thy commandments.
Jika aku memperhatikan semua perintah-Mu, maka aku tak akan dipermalukan.
7 I will give thanks unto thee with uprightness of heart, When I learn thy righteous judgments.
Bila aku mempelajari keputusan-Mu yang adil, aku memuji Engkau dengan setulus hati.
8 I will observe thy statutes: Oh forsake me not utterly.
Aku mau mentaati hukum-Mu, janganlah sekali-kali meninggalkan aku.
9 Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed [thereto] according to thy word.
Orang muda dapat menjaga hidupnya tak bercela kalau ia hidup menurut perintah-Mu.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: Oh let me not wander from thy commandments.
Dengan sepenuh hati aku berusaha mengenal Engkau, jangan biarkan aku menyimpang dari perintah-Mu.
11 Thy word have I laid up in my heart, That I might not sin against thee.
Ajaran-Mu kusimpan dalam hatiku, supaya aku jangan berdosa terhadap-Mu.
12 Blessed art thou, O Jehovah: Teach me thy statutes.
Aku memuji Engkau, ya TUHAN, ajarilah aku ketetapan-Mu.
13 With my lips have I declared All the ordinances of thy mouth.
Dengan nyaring aku memaklumkan semua hukum yang Kauberikan.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, As much as in all riches.
Aku gembira mengikuti perintah-perintah-Mu, seperti memiliki segala macam harta.
15 I will meditate on thy precepts, And have respect unto thy ways.
Aku mau mempelajari keputusan-keputusan-Mu, dan memperhatikan petunjuk-petunjuk-Mu.
16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Ketetapan-Mu membuat aku senang; ajaran-Mu takkan kulupakan.
17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live; So will I observe thy word.
Kiranya Engkau bermurah hati kepada hamba-Mu ini, supaya aku tetap hidup dan mentaati ajaran-Mu.
18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold Wondrous things out of thy law.
Bukalah mataku supaya aku melihat ajaran yang mengagumkan dalam hukum-Mu.
19 I am a sojourner in the earth: Hide not thy commandments from me.
Hanya untuk sementara aku tinggal di dunia, janganlah menyembunyikan hukum-Mu daripadaku.
20 My soul breaketh for the longing That it hath unto thine ordinances at all times.
Hatiku sakit menanggung rindu, aku ingin mengetahui hukum-Mu setiap waktu.
21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, That do wander from thy commandments.
Engkau menegur orang yang sombong, dan mengutuk orang yang menyimpang dari perintah-Mu.
22 Take away from me reproach and contempt; For I have kept thy testimonies.
Bebaskanlah aku dari penghinaan dan celaan mereka, sebab aku melakukan peraturan-Mu.
23 Princes also sat and talked against me; [But] thy servant did meditate on thy statutes.
Sekalipun para penguasa berkomplot melawan aku, hamba-Mu ini akan merenungkan ketetapan-Mu.
24 Thy testimonies also are my delight [And] my counsellors.
Peraturan-peraturan-Mu menjadi penasihatku yang menyenangkan hatiku.
25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: Quicken thou me according to thy word.
Aku berbaring dalam debu; pulihkanlah hidupku menurut janji-Mu.
26 I declared my ways, and thou answeredst me: Teach me thy statutes.
Aku mengakui perbuatanku, lalu Engkau menjawab aku; ajarilah aku ketetapan-Mu.
27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: So shall I meditate on thy wondrous works.
Tolonglah aku memahami hukum-hukum-Mu, ajaran-Mu yang mengagumkan akan kurenungkan.
28 My soul melteth for heaviness: Strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
Jiwaku hancur luluh ditimpa kesusahan, kuatkanlah aku sesuai dengan janji-Mu.
29 Remove from me the way of falsehood; And grant me thy law graciously.
Jauhkanlah aku dari jalan yang sesat, karena kebaikan-Mu, ajarilah aku hukum-Mu.
30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness: Thine ordinances have I set [before me].
Aku telah memilih untuk taat, perintah-Mu selalu kuingat-ingat.
31 I cleave unto thy testimonies: O Jehovah, put me not to shame.
Aku telah mengikuti peraturan-peraturan-Mu, ya TUHAN, jangan biarkan aku mendapat malu.
32 I will run the way of thy commandments, When thou shalt enlarge my heart.
Dengan senang aku akan mematuhi perintah-Mu, sebab Engkau membuat aku lebih mengerti.
33 Teach me, O Jehovah, the way of thy statutes; And I shall keep it unto the end.
TUHAN, ajarilah aku arti ketetapan-ketetapan-Mu, supaya aku mengikutinya sampai akhir.
34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
Buatlah aku mengerti hukum-Mu supaya kutaati, dan kulakukan dengan sepenuh hati.
35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; For therein do I delight.
Semoga aku berpegang teguh pada perintah-Mu, karena itulah kesukaanku.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, And not to covetousness.
Berilah aku hasrat untuk mentaati peraturan-Mu, melebihi keinginan menjadi kaya.
37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity, And quicken me in thy ways.
Jagalah aku supaya jangan mengejar yang sia-sia, berilah aku hidup menurut kehendak-Mu.
38 Confirm unto thy servant thy word, Which [is in order] unto the fear of thee.
Teguhkanlah kepada hamba-Mu ini janji-Mu, yang Kauberikan kepada orang yang taat kepada-Mu.
39 Turn away my reproach whereof I am afraid; For thine ordinances are good.
Jauhkanlah penghinaan yang kutakuti, karena sungguh baiklah hukum-Mu.
40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: Quicken me in thy righteousness.
Berilah aku hidup baru, sebab Engkau adil, aku berhasrat mentaati keputusan-keputusan-Mu.
41 Let thy lovingkindnesses also come unto me, O Jehovah, Even thy salvation, according to thy word.
Ya TUHAN, tunjukkanlah betapa Engkau mengasihi aku, selamatkanlah aku sesuai dengan janji-Mu.
42 So shall I have an answer for him that reproacheth me; For I trust in thy word.
Maka dapatlah aku menjawab orang yang menghina aku, sebab aku mengandalkan perkataan-Mu.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; For I have hoped in thine ordinances.
Tolonglah aku untuk selalu mengatakan yang benar, sebab aku berharap pada keputusan-Mu.
44 So shall I observe thy law continually For ever and ever.
Aku mau berpegang pada hukum-Mu, untuk selama-lamanya.
45 And I shall walk at liberty; For I have sought thy precepts.
Maka aku akan hidup dengan bebas, karena berusaha mematuhi ajaran-Mu.
46 I will also speak of thy testimonies before kings, And shall not be put to shame.
Peraturan-Mu akan kuwartakan kepada raja-raja, dan aku tak akan mendapat malu.
47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, Which I have loved.
Kesenanganku ialah melakukan perintah-Mu, sebab aku mencintainya.
48 I will lift up my hands also unto thy commandments, which I have loved; And I will meditate on thy statutes.
Aku menghormati dan mencintai perintah-Mu, ketetapan-Mu akan kurenungkan.
49 Remember the word unto thy servant, Because thou hast made me to hope.
Ingatlah janji-Mu kepada hamba-Mu ini, janji yang memberi harapan kepadaku.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction; For thy word hath quickened me.
Inilah yang menghibur aku dalam penderitaanku, bahwa janji-Mu itu memberi aku hidup.
51 The proud have had me greatly in derision: [Yet] have I not swerved from thy law.
Orang sombong sangat menghina aku, tetapi aku tidak menyimpang dari hukum-Mu.
52 I have remembered thine ordinances of old, O Jehovah, And have comforted myself.
Aku ingat akan hukum-Mu yang ada sejak dahulu, maka terhiburlah hatiku, ya TUHAN.
53 Hot indignation hath taken hold upon me, Because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
Aku sangat marah kepada orang jahat, karena mereka meninggalkan hukum-Mu.
54 Thy statutes have been my songs In the house of my pilgrimage.
Selama hidupku yang singkat di bumi, ketetapan-Mu kujadikan lagu-lagu pujian.
55 I have remembered thy name, O Jehovah, in the night, And have observed thy law.
Di waktu malam kuingat pada-Mu, ya TUHAN, hukum-Mu tetap kupegang.
56 This I have had, Because I have kept thy precepts.
Aku mendapatkan kebahagiaan dalam mentaati perintah-perintah-Mu.
57 Jehovah is my portion: I have said that I would observe thy words.
Engkau saja yang kuinginkan, ya TUHAN, aku berjanji akan melakukan ajaran-Mu.
58 I entreated thy favor with my whole heart: Be merciful unto me according to thy word.
Dengan segenap hati aku mohon belas kasih-Mu, kasihanilah aku sesuai dengan janji-Mu.
59 I thought on my ways, And turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
Aku telah memikirkan kelakuanku, dan berjanji akan mentaati peraturan-Mu.
60 I made haste, and delayed not, To observe thy commandments.
Aku bergegas-gegas dan tidak menunggu untuk menjalankan perintah-Mu.
61 The cords of the wicked have wrapped me round; [But] I have not forgotten thy law.
Orang jahat memasang jaring bagiku, tetapi aku tidak melupakan hukum-Mu.
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee Because of thy righteous ordinances.
Tengah malam aku bangun hendak memuji Engkau, karena keputusan-keputusan yang adil.
63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, And of them that observe thy precepts.
Aku bersahabat dengan semua orang takwa, semua orang yang melakukan perintah-Mu.
64 The earth, O Jehovah, is full of thy lovingkindness: Teach me thy statutes.
Bumi penuh dengan kasih-Mu, ya TUHAN, ajarilah aku ketetapan-ketetapan-M
65 Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Jehovah, according unto thy word.
Engkau telah memenuhi janji-Mu, ya TUHAN, dan berbuat baik kepada hamba-Mu.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge; For I have believed in thy commandments.
Berilah aku hikmat dan pengetahuan, sebab aku percaya kepada perintah-perintah-Mu.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray; But now I observe thy word.
Sebelum dihukum, aku menyimpang, sekarang aku berpegang pada perintah-Mu.
68 Thou art good, and doest good; Teach me thy statutes.
Sebab Engkau baik dan berbuat baik, ajarilah aku ketetapan-ketetapan-Mu.
69 The proud have forged a lie against me: With my whole heart will I keep thy precepts.
Orang sombong memfitnah aku, tapi aku dengan sepenuh hati mentaati keputusan-Mu.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease; But I delight in thy law.
Orang-orang itu tidak mengerti, tetapi bagiku hukum-Mu menyenangkan hati.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; That I may learn thy statutes.
Memang baiklah Engkau menghukum aku, supaya aku mengenal ketetapan-ketetapan-Mu.
72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me Than thousands of gold and silver.
Bagiku hukum-Mu lebih berharga dari semua emas dan perak di dunia.
73 Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
Engkaulah yang menjadikan dan membentuk aku, berilah aku pengertian untuk belajar perintah-perintah-Mu.
74 They that fear thee shall see me and be glad, Because I have hoped in thy word.
Orang takwa akan senang bila melihat aku, sebab aku berharap pada janji-Mu.
75 I know, O Jehovah, that thy judgments are righteous, And that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
Aku tahu bahwa keputusan-Mu adil ya TUHAN, Engkau telah menghukum aku karena kesetiaan-Mu.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy lovingkindness be for my comfort, According to thy word unto thy servant.
Semoga kasih-Mu menjadi penghiburanku, sesuai dengan janji-Mu kepada hamba-Mu.
77 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; For thy law is my delight.
Kasihanilah aku, maka aku tetap hidup, karena hukum-Mu menyenangkan hatiku.
78 Let the proud be put to shame; for they have overthrown me wrongfully: [But] I will meditate on thy precepts.
Biarlah orang sombong menjadi malu karena telah memfitnah aku, tetapi aku akan merenungkan perintah-perintah-Mu.
79 Let those that fear thee turn unto me; And they shall know thy testimonies.
Semoga orang takwa datang kepadaku, semua yang mengenal peraturan-peraturan-Mu.
80 Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes, That I be not put to shame.
Semoga hatiku tidak menyimpang dari ketetapan-Mu, supaya aku jangan mendapat malu.
81 My soul fainteth for thy salvation; [But] I hope in thy word.
Hatiku sangat rindu akan keselamatan daripada-Mu; aku mengharapkan janji-Mu.
82 Mine eyes fail for thy word, While I say, When wilt thou comfort me?
Mataku letih menanti Engkau memenuhi janji-Mu, aku berkata, "Kapan Engkau akan menghibur aku?"
83 For I am become like a wine-skin in the smoke; Yet do I not forget thy statutes.
Kulitku lisut seperti kantong anggur yang usang, tetapi ketetapan-Mu tidak kulupakan.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? When wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
Sampai kapan hamba-Mu harus bersabar? Kapan Engkau akan menghukum orang-orang yang mengejar aku?
85 The proud have digged pits for me, Who are not according to thy law.
Orang yang tidak mentaati hukum-Mu, telah menggali lubang untuk menjebak aku.
86 All thy commandments are faithful: They persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
Semua hukum-Mu dapat diandalkan, tolonglah aku, sebab aku dikejar tanpa alasan.
87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; But I forsook not thy precepts.
Hampir saja mereka berhasil membunuh aku, tetapi aku tidak mengabaikan perintah-Mu.
88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; So shall I observe the testimony of thy mouth.
Selamatkanlah aku sebab Engkau tetap mengasihi, supaya aku dapat mentaati hukum-Mu.
89 For ever, O Jehovah, Thy word is settled in heaven.
TUHAN, sabda-Mu teguh selama-lamanya, kekal abadi di surga.
90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
Kesetiaan-Mu bertahan sepanjang zaman, Engkau menegakkan bumi sehingga tetap ada.
91 They abide this day according to thine ordinances; For all things are thy servants.
Semua yang ada sekarang, ada karena perintah-Mu, sebab mereka semua adalah hamba-hamba-Mu.
92 Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
Sekiranya hukum-Mu bukan sumber kegembiraanku, pasti aku sudah mati dalam sengsaraku.
93 I will never forget thy precepts; For with them thou hast quickened me.
Selamanya aku takkan mengabaikan perintah-Mu, sebab dengan itu Engkau menghidupkan aku.
94 I am thine, save me; For I have sought thy precepts.
Selamatkanlah aku, sebab aku ini milik-Mu, aku sudah berusaha mentaati keputusan-Mu.
95 The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me; [But] I will consider thy testimonies.
Orang jahat menunggu hendak membunuh aku, tetapi aku mau memperhatikan hukum-Mu.
96 I have seen an end of all perfection; [But] thy commandment is exceeding broad.
Kulihat bahwa yang sempurna pun terbatas, hanya perintah-Mulah yang sempurna.
97 Oh how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.
Betapa kucintai hukum-Mu; aku merenungkannya sepanjang hari.
98 Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; For they are ever with me.
Aku selalu ingat kepada perintah-Mu, yang membuat aku lebih bijaksana dari musuh-musuhku.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers; For thy testimonies are my (meditation)
Pengertianku melebihi pengertian guru-guruku, karena aku merenungkan perintah-perintah-Mu.
100 I understand more than the aged, Because I have kept thy precepts.
Aku lebih paham dari orang-orang tua, sebab aku memegang keputusan-keputusan-Mu.
101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, That I might observe thy word.
Kuhindari segala kelakuan jahat, supaya aku taat kepada ajaran-Mu.
102 I have not turned aside from thine ordinances; For thou hast taught me.
Aku tidak mengabaikan hukum-Mu, sebab Engkaulah yang mengajar aku.
103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! [Yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!
Alangkah manisnya perkataan-Mu, rasanya lebih manis dari madu!
104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: Therefore I hate every false way.
Hukum-hukum-Mu memberi aku pengertian, sehingga aku membenci kelakuan yang curang.
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path.
Sabda-Mu adalah pelita bagi langkahku, cahaya untuk menerangi jalanku.
106 I have sworn, and have confirmed it, That I will observe thy righteous ordinances.
Yang kujanjikan dengan sumpah akan kutepati, untuk berpegang pada keputusan-Mu yang adil.
107 I am afflicted very much: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according unto thy word.
Aku sangat sengsara, ya TUHAN, jagalah hidupku sesuai dengan janji-Mu.
108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, O Jehovah, And teach me thine ordinances.
Terimalah doa syukurku, ya TUHAN, dan ajarilah aku hukum-hukum-Mu.
109 My soul is continually in my hand; Yet do I not forget thy law.
Aku selalu mempertaruhkan nyawaku, tetapi aku tidak melupakan hukum-Mu.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me; Yet have I not gone astray from thy precepts.
Orang jahat memasang perangkap bagiku, tetapi aku tidak menyimpang dari keputusan-Mu.
111 Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; For they are the rejoicing of my heart.
Perintah-Mu adalah pusakaku untuk selamanya, yang membuat hatiku gembira.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes For ever, even unto the end.
Aku berhasrat mentaati ketetapan-Mu sampai akhir hidupku.
113 I hate them that are of a double mind; But thy law do I love.
Aku mencintai hukum-hukum-Mu, kubenci orang yang tidak sepenuhnya setia kepada-Mu.
114 Thou art my hiding-place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
Engkaulah pembela dan pelindungku, aku berharap pada janji-Mu.
115 Depart from me, ye evil-doers, That I may keep the commandments of my God.
Hai orang jahat, menjauhlah dari aku! Aku mau mentaati perintah Allahku.
116 Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live; And let me not be ashamed of my hope.
Kuatkanlah aku sesuai dengan janji-Mu agar aku hidup, jangan biarkan aku dikecewakan dalam harapanku.
117 Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe, And shall have respect unto thy statutes continually.
Topanglah aku supaya aku selamat, dan selalu memperhatikan perintah-Mu.
118 Thou hast set at nought all them that err from thy statutes; For their deceit is falsehood.
Engkau menolak orang yang menyimpang dari ketetapan-Mu, sia-sia saja tipu muslihat mereka.
119 Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: Therefore I love thy testimonies.
Semua orang jahat Kauanggap sebagai sampah, sebab itu aku mencintai peraturan-peraturan-Mu.
120 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; And I am afraid of thy judgments.
Aku gemetar karena takut kepada-Mu, hatiku gentar terhadap keputusan-Mu.
121 I have done justice and righteousness: Leave me not to mine oppressors.
Aku sudah melakukan yang adil dan benar, janganlah menyerahkan aku ke tangan lawan.
122 Be surety for thy servant for good: Let not the proud oppress me.
Berjanjilah bahwa Engkau akan menolong aku, jangan biarkan aku ditindas orang-orang angkuh.
123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, And for thy righteous word.
Mataku pedih menunggu bantuan-Mu yang menyelamatkan, kunantikan pembebasan yang Kaujanjikan.
124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy lovingkindness, And teach me thy statutes.
Perlakukanlah aku sesuai dengan kasih-Mu, dan ajarlah aku ketetapan-Mu.
125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, That I may know thy testimonies.
Aku hamba-Mu, buatlah aku mengerti, supaya aku memahami perintah-Mu.
126 It is time for Jehovah to work; [For] they have made void thy law.
TUHAN, sudah tiba saatnya Engkau bertindak, sebab orang-orang melanggar hukum-Mu.
127 Therefore I love thy commandments Above gold, yea, above fine gold.
Perintah-perintah-Mu kucintai melebihi emas, melebihi emas murni.
128 Therefore I esteem all [thy] precepts concerning all [things] to be right; [And] I hate every false way.
Sebab itu aku hidup sesuai dengan semua petunjuk-Mu; kelakuan yang serong kubenci.
129 Thy testimonies are wonderful; Therefore doth my soul keep them.
Peraturan-peraturan-Mu sungguh mengagumkan, maka kutaati dengan sepenuh hati.
130 The opening of thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple.
Bila dijelaskan, ajaran-Mu memberi terang, memberi pengertian kepada orang sederhana.
131 I opened wide my mouth, and panted; For I longed for thy commandments.
Napasku terengah-engah, karena merindukan perintah-Mu.
132 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me, As thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.
Berpalinglah kepadaku dan kasihanilah aku, seperti Kaukasihani orang yang mencintai-Mu.
133 Establish my footsteps in thy word; And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Teguhkanlah langkahku sesuai dengan janji-Mu, jangan biarkan aku dikuasai kejahatan.
134 Redeem me from the oppression of man: So will I observe thy precepts.
Bebaskanlah aku dari orang-orang yang menindas aku, supaya aku dapat mentaati peraturan-Mu.
135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; And teach me thy statutes.
Berkatilah aku dengan kehadiran-Mu, dan ajarilah aku ketetapan-Mu.
136 Streams of water run down mine eyes, Because they observe not thy law.
Air mataku mengalir seperti sungai, karena hukum-Mu tidak ditaati.
137 Righteous art thou, O Jehovah, And upright are thy judgments.
Engkau adil, ya TUHAN, semua hukum-Mu tepat.
138 Thou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness And very faithfulness.
Perintah-perintah yang Kauberikan adil dan dapat diandalkan.
139 My zeal hath consumed me, Because mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.
Kemarahanku membara dalam diriku karena musuhku melupakan ajaran-Mu.
140 Thy word is very pure; Therefore thy servant loveth it.
Janji-Mu teguh dan dapat dipercaya, aku sangat mencintainya.
141 I am small and despised; [Yet] do I not forget thy precepts.
Aku ini kecil dan hina, tetapi aku tidak mengabaikan ajaran-Mu.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And thy law is truth.
Keadilan-Mu bertahan selama-lamanya, dan hukum-Mu selalu benar.
143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me; [Yet] thy commandments are my delight.
Aku ditimpa kesesakan dan kesusahan, tetapi ketetapan-Mu menggembirakan hatiku.
144 Thy testimonies are righteous for ever: Give me understanding, and I shall live.
Peraturan-Mu selalu adil; berilah aku pengertian supaya aku hidup.
145 I have called with my whole heart; answer me, O Jehovah: I will keep thy statutes.
Dengan segenap hati aku berseru kepada-Mu; jawablah aku ya TUHAN, aku mau mentaati perintah-Mu.
146 I have called unto thee; save me, And I shall observe thy testimonies.
Aku berseru kepada-Mu; selamatkanlah aku, aku mau berpegang pada peraturan-Mu.
147 I anticipated the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy words.
Pagi-pagi aku bangun dan berseru minta tolong; aku berharap kepada janji-Mu.
148 Mine eyes anticipated the night-watches, That I might meditate on thy word.
Sepanjang malam aku berjaga, untuk merenungkan ajaran-Mu.
149 Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thine ordinances.
Dengarlah aku karena kasih-Mu, ya TUHAN, jagalah hidupku karena keadilan-Mu.
150 They draw nigh that follow after wickedness; They are far from thy law.
Orang yang mengejar aku sudah dekat, mereka bermaksud jahat dan tidak mengindahkan hukum-Mu.
151 Thou art nigh, O Jehovah; And all thy commandments are truth.
Tetapi Engkau dekat, ya TUHAN, segala perintah-Mu benar.
152 Of old have I known from thy testimonies, That thou hast founded them for ever.
Sejak dahulu aku tahu dari ajaran-ajaran-Mu, bahwa Engkau menetapkannya untuk selama-lamanya.
153 Consider mine affliction, and deliver me; For I do not forget thy law.
Lihatlah penderitaanku dan selamatkanlah aku, sebab aku tidak mengabaikan hukum-Mu.
154 Plead thou my cause, and redeem me: Quicken me according to thy word.
Belalah perkaraku dan bebaskanlah aku; selamatkanlah aku sesuai dengan janji-Mu.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked; For they seek not thy statutes.
Orang jahat tak akan diselamatkan, karena tidak mentaati ketetapan-Mu.
156 Great are thy tender mercies, O Jehovah: Quicken me according to thine ordinances.
Sungguh besar belas kasihan-Mu, ya TUHAN, selamatkanlah aku sesuai dengan keadilan-Mu.
157 Many are my persecutors and mine adversaries; [Yet] have I not swerved from thy testimonies.
Banyak orang memusuhi dan mengejar aku, tapi aku tidak mengabaikan peraturan-Mu.
158 I beheld the treacherous, and was grieved, Because they observe not thy word.
Aku benci melihat pengkhianat-pengkhianat itu, sebab mereka tidak mengikuti ajaran-Mu.
159 Consider how I love thy precepts: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thy lovingkindness.
Lihatlah betapa aku mencintai perintah-Mu, ya TUHAN, selamatkanlah aku karena kasih-Mu.
160 The sum of thy word is truth; And every one of thy righteous ordinances [endureth] for ever.
Semua sabda-Mu benar, segala hukum-Mu yang adil tetap selama-lamanya.
161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause; But my heart standeth in awe of thy words.
Orang-orang berkuasa mengejar aku tanpa alasan, tetapi hanya hukum-Mu yang kutakuti.
162 I rejoice at thy word, As one that findeth great spoil.
Janji-Mu membuat aku gembira, seperti seorang yang menemukan harta.
163 I hate and abhor falsehood; [But] thy law do I love.
Segala dusta kubenci, tetapi hukum-Mu kucintai.
164 Seven times a day do I praise thee, Because of thy righteous ordinances.
Aku terus-menerus bersyukur kepada-Mu, karena hukum-Mu yang adil.
165 Great peace have they that love thy law; And they have no occasion of stumbling.
Orang yang mencintai hukum-Mu aman dan tentram, tak ada yang dapat merintangi mereka.
166 I have hoped for thy salvation, O Jehovah, And have done thy commandments.
Aku menunggu keselamatan daripada-Mu, TUHAN, perintah-perintah-Mu kulakukan.
167 My soul hath observed thy testimonies; And I love them exceedingly.
Aku mentaati peraturan-peraturan-Mu, dan mencintainya dengan segenap hati.
168 I have observed thy precepts and thy testimonies; For all my ways are before thee.
Aku mematuhi perintah dan petunjuk-Mu, sebab Engkau melihat segala perbuatanku.
169 Let my cry come near before thee, O Jehovah: Give me understanding according to thy word.
Semoga seruanku sampai kepada-Mu, ya TUHAN, berilah aku pengertian, sesuai dengan janji-Mu.
170 Let my supplication come before thee: Deliver me according to thy word.
Biarlah permohonanku sampai kepada-Mu, selamatkanlah aku sesuai dengan janji-Mu.
171 Let my lips utter praise; For thou teachest me thy statutes.
Aku mau memuji Engkau selalu, sebab Engkau mengajar aku ketetapan-Mu.
172 Let my tongue sing of thy word; For all thy commandments are righteousness.
Aku ingin menyanyi tentang janji-Mu, sebab segala perintah-Mu adil.
173 Let thy hand be ready to help me; For I have chosen thy precepts.
Semoga Engkau selalu rela menolong aku, sebab aku memilih untuk mengikuti peraturan-Mu.
174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Jehovah; And thy law is my delight.
Hatiku merindukan keselamatan daripada-Mu, hukum-Mu menggembirakan hatiku.
175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; And let thine ordinances help me.
Biarlah aku hidup, supaya aku memuji Engkau, semoga ketetapan-ketetapan menolong aku.
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; For I do not forget thy commandments.
Aku sesat seperti domba yang hilang, maka datanglah, dan carilah hamba-Mu ini, sebab aku tidak mengabaikan perintah-perintah-Mu.
