< Psalms 11 >
1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain;
Dura buʼaa Faarfattootaatiif. Faarfannaa Daawit. Ani Waaqayyotti kooluu galeera. Yoos isin akkamitti lubbuu kootiin akkana jechuu dandeessu: “Ati akkuma simbirroo tulluu keetti barrisi.
2 For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;
Kunoo namoonni hamoon iddaa isaanii dabsataniiru; isaan warra toloota taʼan, dukkana keessa waraanuuf jedhanii, xiyya isaanii ribuutti dhaabbataniiru.
3 If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous do?
Yoo hundeewwan diigaman, namni qajeelaan maal gochuu dandaʼa?”
4 Jehovah is in his holy temple; Jehovah, his throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
Waaqayyo mana qulqullummaa isaa qulqulluu sana keessa jira; teessoon Waaqayyoo samii irra jira. Inni ilmaan namootaa ni ilaala; iji isaas namoota ni qora.
5 Jehovah trieth the righteous; But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Waaqayyo qajeeltotaa fi jalʼoota ni qora; lubbuun isaa garuu nama goolii jaallatu ni jibbiti.
6 Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.
Inni hamoota irratti, barbadaa ibiddaatii fi dinyii bobaʼu ni roobsa; qoodni isaaniis bubbee finiinaa dha.
7 For Jehovah is righteous; he loveth righteousness: The upright shall behold his face.
Waaqayyo waan qajeelaa taʼeef, murtii qajeelaa jaallata; toloonnis fuula isaa ni argu.
