Leviticus 27

1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall accomplish a vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah by thy estimation.

Parle aux enfants d’Israël, et tu leur diras: Un homme qui aura fait un vœu et qui aura promis à Dieu son âme donnera, selon l’estimation, le prix.

3 And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

Si c’est un homme depuis la vingtième année jusqu’à la soixantième année, il donnera cinquante sicles d’argent, selon la mesure du sanctuaire;

4 And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels.

Si c’est une femme, trente.

5 And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

Mais depuis la cinquième année jusqu’à la vingtième, l’homme donnera vingt sicles, la femme, dix.

6 And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.

Depuis un mois jusqu’à la cinquième année, pour l’homme on donnera cinq sicles, pour la femme, trois.

7 And if it be from sixty years old and upward; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

Un homme de soixante ans et au-dessus donnera quinze sicles; la femme, dix.

8 But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall be set before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to the ability of him that vowed shall the priest value him.

S’il est pauvre, et s’il ne peut payer l’estimation, il se présentera devant le prêtre; et autant celui-ci aura estimé et aura vu qu’il peut payer, autant il donnera.

9 And if it be a beast, whereof men offer an oblation unto Jehovah, all that any man giveth of such unto Jehovah shall be holy.

Mais un animal, qui peut être immolé au Seigneur, si quelqu’un le voue, sera saint,

10 He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then both it and that for which it is changed shall be holy.

Et il ne pourra être changé, c’est-à-dire, ni un meilleur pour un mauvais, ni un pire pour un bon; que s’il le change, et celui qui a été changé et celui pour lequel le premier a été changé sera consacré au Seigneur.

11 And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer an oblation unto Jehovah, then he shall set the beast before the priest;

Un animal impur, qui ne peut être immolé au Seigneur, si quelqu’un le voue, sera amené devant le prêtre,

12 and the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou the priest valuest it, so shall it be.

Qui jugeant s’il est bon ou mauvais, fixera le prix.

13 But if he will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part thereof unto thy estimation.

Si celui qui offre veut le donner, il ajoutera au-dessus de l’estimation la cinquième partie.

14 And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto Jehovah, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.

Si un homme voue sa maison et la consacre au Seigneur, le prêtre considérera si elle est bonne ou mauvaise, et selon le prix qui aura été assigné par lui, elle sera vendue;

15 And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his.

Mais, si celui qui l’a vouée, veut la racheter, il donnera la cinquième partie de l’estimation en sus, et il aura la maison.

16 And if a man shall sanctify unto Jehovah part of the field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the sowing thereof: the sowing of a homer of barley [shall be valued] at fifty shekels of silver.

Que s’il voue le champ de sa possession, et qu’il le consacre au Seigneur, c’est selon la mesure des semences que sera estimé le prix; si la terre est semée de trente boisseaux d’orge, qu’elle soit vendue cinquante sicles d’argent.

17 If he sanctify his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy estimation it shall stand.

Si c’est dès l’année du jubilé commençant qu’il voue son champ, autant il peut valoir, autant il sera estimé.

18 But if he sanctify his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain unto the year of jubilee; and an abatement shall be made from thy estimation.

Mais, si c’est après quelque temps, le prêtre supputera l’argent, selon le nombre des années qui restent jusqu’au jubilé, et il sera fait un retranchement dans le prix.

19 And if he that sanctified the field will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.

Que si celui qui l’a voué, veut racheter le champ, il ajoutera la cinquième partie de l’argent estimé, et il le possédera.

20 And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more:

Mais s’il ne veut pas le racheter, et qu’il ait été vendu à quelque autre, celui qui l’avait voué ne pourra plus le racheter,

21 but the field, when it goeth out in the jubilee, shall be holy unto Jehovah, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest’s.

Parce que, lorsque le jour du jubilé sera venu, il sera consacré au Seigneur, et qu’une possession consacrée appartient au droit des prêtres.

22 And if he sanctify unto Jehovah a field which he hath bought, which is not of the field of his possession;

Si le champ a été acheté, et qu’il n’ait pas été consacré au Seigneur comme possession des aïeux,

23 then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation unto the year of jubilee: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto Jehovah.

Le prêtre supputera le prix selon le nombre des années qu’il y aura jusqu’au jubilé, et celui qui l’avait voué, donnera ce prix au Seigneur;

24 In the year of jubilee the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belongeth.

Mais au jubilé, le champ retournera au premier maître qui l’avait vendu, et qui l’avait eu pour lot de sa possession.

25 And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.

Toute estimation se fera au poids du sicle du sanctuaire. Le sicle a vingt oboles.

26 Only the firstling among beasts, which is made a firstling to Jehovah, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox or sheep, it is Jehovah’s.

Les premiers-nés, qui appartiennent au Seigneur, personne ne pourra les consacrer et les vouer: que ce soit un bœuf ou une brebis, ils sont au Seigneur.

27 And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall ransom it according to thine estimation, and shall add unto it the fifth part thereof: or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy estimation.

Que si l’animal est impur, celui qui l’a offert le rachètera selon ton estimation, et il ajoutera la cinquième partie du prix; s’il ne veut pas le racheter, il sera vendu à un autre, autant qu’il aura été estimé par loi.

28 Notwithstanding, no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto Jehovah of all that he hath, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto Jehovah.

Tout ce qui est consacré au Seigneur, que ce soit un homme, ou un animal, ou un champ, ne sera point vendu, et ne pourra être racheté. Tout ce qui aura été une fois consacré, étant très saint, sera pour le Seigneur.

29 No one devoted, that shall be devoted from among men, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.

Rien de consacré, qui est offert par un homme, ne sera racheté, mais il mourra de mort.

30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is Jehovah’s: it is holy unto Jehovah.

Toutes les dîmes de la terre, soit des grains, soit des fruits des arbres, sont au Seigneur et lui sont consacrées.

31 And if a man will redeem aught of his tithe, he shall add unto it the fifth part thereof.

Mais si quelqu’un veut racheter ses dîmes, il en ajoutera la cinquième partie.

32 And all the tithe of the herd or the flock, whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto Jehovah.

Dans les dîmes des bœufs, des brebis et des chèvres qui passent sous la verge du pasteur, tout ce qui viendra comme dixième, sera consacré au Seigneur.

33 He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and that for which it is changed shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.

Ni le bon, ni le mauvais ne sera choisi, et il ne sera point changé pour un autre; si quelqu’un le change, et ce qui aura été changé, et ce pour quoi il aura été changé, sera consacré au Seigneur, et ne sera pas racheté,

34 These are the commandments, which Jehovah commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

Ce sont là les préceptes qu’a donnés le Seigneur à Moïse pour les enfants d’Israël sur la montagne de Sinaï.
