John 7
1 And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judæa, because the Jews sought to kill him.
൧അതിന്‍റെശേഷം യേശു ഗലീലയിൽ ചുറ്റിസഞ്ചരിച്ചു; യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അന്വേഷിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ സഞ്ചരിപ്പാൻ അവന് മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു.
2 Now the feast of the Jews, the feast of tabernacles, was at hand.
൨എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ കൂടാരപ്പെരുന്നാൾ അടുത്തിരുന്നു.
3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judæa, that thy disciples also may behold thy works which thou doest.
൩അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ അവനോട്: നീ ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരും കാണേണ്ടതിന് ഇവിടം വിട്ടു യെഹൂദ്യയിലേക്കു പോക.
4 For no man doeth anything in secret, and himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou doest these things, manifest thyself to the world.
൪പ്രസിദ്ധൻ ആകുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവൻ ആരും രഹസ്യത്തിൽ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലല്ലോ; നീ ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ലോകത്തിനു നിന്നെത്തന്നെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5 For even his brethren did not believe on him.
൫അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.
6 Jesus therefore saith unto them, My time is not yet come; but your time is always ready.
൬യേശു അവരോട്: എന്റെ സമയം ഇതുവരെ വന്നിട്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങൾക്കോ എല്ലായ്പോഴും സമയം തന്നേ.
7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil.
൭നിങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കാൻ ലോകത്തിനു കഴിയുന്നതല്ല; എന്നാൽ അതിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ദോഷമുള്ളവ എന്നു ഞാൻ അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് അത് എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നു.
8 Go ye up unto the feast: I go not up unto this feast; because my time is not yet fulfilled.
൮നിങ്ങൾ പെരുന്നാളിന് പോകുവിൻ; ഞാൻ ഈ പെരുന്നാളിന് പോകുന്നില്ല; എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാൽ എന്റെ നാഴിക ഇതുവരെയും വന്നിട്ടില്ല.
9 And having said these things unto them, he abode [still] in Galilee.
൯ഇങ്ങനെ അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് ഗലീലയിൽ തന്നേ പാർത്തു.
10 But when his brethren were gone up unto the feast, then went he also up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
൧൦എന്നിരുന്നാലും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ പെരുന്നാളിന് പോയശേഷം അവനും പരസ്യമായിട്ടല്ല രഹസ്യമായി തന്നേ പോയി.
11 The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
൧൧എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ പെരുന്നാളിൽ: അവൻ എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു അവനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു.
12 And there was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him: some said, He is a good man; others said, Not so, but he leadeth the multitude astray.
൧൨പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് വളരെ വാദപ്രതിവാദങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായി: അവൻ നല്ലവൻ എന്നു ചിലരും അല്ല, അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തെ വഞ്ചിക്കുന്നു എന്നു മറ്റുചിലരും പറഞ്ഞു.
13 Yet no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.
൧൩എങ്കിലും യെഹൂദന്മാരെ പേടിച്ചിട്ട് ആരും പ്രസിദ്ധമായി അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിച്ചില്ല.
14 But when it was now the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
൧൪പെരുന്നാൾ പകുതി കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം യേശു ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെന്ന് ഉപദേശിക്കുവാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
15 The Jews therefore marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
൧൫വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ചെയ്യാത്ത ഇവൻ ഇത്രയധികം അറിയുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.
16 Jesus therefore answered them, and said, My teaching is not mine, but his that sent me.
൧൬യേശു അവരോട് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്: എന്റെ ഉപദേശം എന്റേതല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റേതത്രേ.
17 If any man willeth to do his will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or [whether] I speak from myself.
൧൭ആരെങ്കിലും അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്‌വാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നുവോ അവൻ ഈ ഉപദേശം ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ളതോ ഞാൻ സ്വയമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നതോ എന്നു അറിയും.
18 He that speaketh from himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
൧൮സ്വയമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം സ്വന്തമഹത്വം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ തന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ മഹത്വം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവനോ സത്യവാൻ ആകുന്നു; നീതികേട് അവനിൽ ഇല്ല.
19 Did not Moses give you the law, and [yet] none of you doeth the law? Why seek ye to kill me?
൧൯മോശെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ന്യായപ്രമാണം തന്നിട്ടില്ലയോ? എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളിൽ ആരും ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിക്കുന്നില്ല. നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നത് എന്ത്?
20 The multitude answered, Thou hast a demon: who seeketh to kill thee?
൨൦അതിന് പുരുഷാരം: നിനക്ക് ഒരു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ട്; ആരാണ് നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നത് എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I did one work, and ye all marvel because thereof.
൨൧യേശു അവരോട് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്: ഞാൻ ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തു; അതിങ്കൽ നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുന്നു.
22 Moses hath given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers); and on the sabbath ye circumcise a man.
൨൨മോശെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് പരിച്ഛേദന നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കയാൽ അത് മോശെയുടെ കാലത്തല്ല പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തത്രേ തുടങ്ങിയത്, നിങ്ങൾ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ മനുഷ്യനെ പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിക്കുന്നു.
23 If a man receiveth circumcision on the sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken; are ye wroth with me, because I made a man every whit whole on the sabbath?
൨൩മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന് നീക്കം വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ ശബ്ബത്തിലും മനുഷ്യൻ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏല്ക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ പൂർണ്ണമായി സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയതിനാൽ എന്നോട് ഈർഷ്യപ്പെടുന്നുവോ?
24 Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
൨൪പുറമേയുള്ള കാഴ്ചപ്രകാരം വിധിക്കരുത്; നീതിയോടെ വിധിപ്പിൻ.
25 Some therefore of them of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
൨൫യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നുള്ള ചിലർ: അവർ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവൻ ഇവൻ അല്ലയോ?
26 And lo, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing unto him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Christ?
൨൬അവൻ പരസ്യമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവർ അവനോട് ഒന്നും പറയുന്നില്ല; ഇവൻ ക്രിസ്തു ആകുന്നു എന്നു അധികാരികൾ യഥാർത്ഥമായി ഗ്രഹിച്ചുവോ?
27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when the Christ cometh, no one knoweth whence he is.
൨൭എങ്കിലും ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ എവിടെനിന്ന് വരുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു; ക്രിസ്തു വരുമ്പോഴോ അവൻ എവിടെനിന്ന് വരുന്നു എന്നു ആരും അറിയുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
28 Jesus therefore cried in the temple, teaching and saying, Ye both know me, and know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
൨൮യേശു ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോൾ: നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അറിയുന്നു; ഞാൻ എവിടെനിന്നെന്നും അറിയുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ സ്വയമായിട്ട് വന്നവനല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവൻ സത്യവാൻ ആകുന്നു; അവനെ നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല.
29 I know him; because I am from him, and he sent me.
൨൯ഞാൻ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു വന്നതുകൊണ്ടും അവൻ എന്നെ അയച്ചതുകൊണ്ടും ഞാൻ അവനെ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.
30 They sought therefore to take him: and no man laid his hand on him, because his hour was not yet come.
൩൦അവർ അവനെ പിടിപ്പാൻ അന്വേഷിച്ചു എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ നാഴിക വന്നിട്ടില്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് ആരും അവന്റെമേൽ കൈ വെച്ചില്ല.
31 But of the multitude many believed on him; and they said, When the Christ shall come, will he do more signs than those which this man hath done?
൩൧പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ പലരും: ക്രിസ്തു വരുമ്പോൾ ഇവൻ ചെയ്തതിൽ അധികം അടയാളങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
32 The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him; and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to take him.
൩൨പുരുഷാരം അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് ഇങ്ങനെ പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നു എന്നു പരീശന്മാർ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവനെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പരീശന്മാരും പടയാളികളെ അയച്ചു.
33 Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while am I with you, and I go unto him that sent me.
൩൩അപ്പോൾ യേശു: ഞാൻ ഇനി കുറച്ചുനേരം നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുന്നു.
34 Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, ye cannot come.
൩൪നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും എന്നാൽ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല; ഞാൻ പോകുന്നിടത്തേക്ക് വരുവാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കഴിയുകയുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
35 The Jews therefore said among themselves, Whither will this man go that we shall not find him? will he go unto the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
൩൫അത് കേട്ടിട്ട് യെഹൂദന്മാർ: നാം കണ്ടെത്താതവണ്ണം ഇവൻ എവിടേക്ക് പോകുവാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നു? യവനന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചിതറിപ്പാർക്കുന്നവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി യവനരെ ഉപദേശിക്കുവാൻ ഭാവമോ?
36 What is this word that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me; and where I am, ye cannot come?
൩൬നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും, എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ലതാനും; ഞാൻ പോകുന്നിടത്ത് വരുവാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കഴിയുകയുമില്ല എന്നു ഈ പറഞ്ഞവാക്ക് എന്ത് എന്നു തമ്മിൽതമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
37 Now on the last day, the great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.
൩൭ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ മഹാദിനമായ ഒടുവിലത്തെ നാളിൽ യേശു നിന്നുകൊണ്ട്: ദാഹിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു കുടിക്കട്ടെ.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, from within him shall flow rivers of living water.
൩൮എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽനിന്ന് തിരുവെഴുത്ത് പറയുന്നതുപോലെ ജീവജലത്തിന്റെ നദികൾ ഒഴുകും എന്നു വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.
39 But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believed on him were to receive: for the Spirit was not yet [given]; because Jesus was not yet glorified.
൩൯അവൻ ഇതു തന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ലഭിപ്പാനുള്ള ആത്മാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചാകുന്നു പറഞ്ഞത്; അതുവരെ ആത്മാവിനെ നൽകപെട്ടിട്ടില്ലായിരുന്നു എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാൽ യേശു അന്ന് തേജസ്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ലായിരുന്നു.
40 [Some] of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, This is of a truth the prophet.
൪൦പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ പലരും ആ വാക്ക് കേട്ടിട്ട്: ഇതു തീർച്ചയായും ആ പ്രവാചകൻ ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, What, doth the Christ come out of Galilee?
൪൧മറ്റുചിലർ: ഇവൻ ക്രിസ്തു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നാൽ വേറെ ചിലർ: ഗലീലയിൽ നിന്നാണോ ക്രിസ്തു വരുന്നത്? എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
42 Hath not the scripture said that the Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?
൪൨ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽ നിന്നും ദാവീദ് പാർത്ത ഗ്രാമമായ ബേത്ത്-ലേഹേമിൽനിന്നും ക്രിസ്തു വരുന്നു എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്ത് പറയുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു.
43 So there arose a division in the multitude because of him.
൪൩അങ്ങനെ പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ അവനെച്ചൊല്ലി ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടായി.
44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
൪൪അവരിൽ ചിലർ അവനെ പിടിപ്പാൻ ഭാവിച്ചു എങ്കിലും ആരും അവന്റെമേൽ കൈ വെച്ചില്ല.
45 The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why did ye not bring him?
൪൫ചേവകർ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും പരീശന്മാരുടെയും അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോൾ അവർ അവരോട്: നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ കൊണ്ടുവരാഞ്ഞത് എന്ത് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്:
46 The officers answered, Never man so spake.
൪൬ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആരും ഒരുനാളും സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു ചേവകർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
47 The Pharisees therefore answered them, Are ye also led astray?
൪൭പരീശന്മാർ അവരോട്: നിങ്ങളെയും വഴിതെറ്റിച്ചുവോ?
48 Hath any of the rulers believed on him, or of the Pharisees?
൪൮അധികാരികളിൽ ആകട്ടെ പരീശന്മാരിൽ ആകട്ടെ ആരെങ്കിലും അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
49 But this multitude that knoweth not the law are accursed.
൪൯ന്യായപ്രമാണം അറിയാത്ത ഈ പുരുഷാരമോ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
50 Nicodemus saith unto them (he that came to him before, being one of them),
൫൦മുമ്പൊരിക്കൽ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിരുന്നവനും പരീശന്മാരിൽ ഒരുവനുമായ നിക്കോദെമോസ് അവരോട്:
51 Doth our law judge a man, except it first hear from himself and know what he doeth?
൫൧ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ വാമൊഴി ആദ്യം കേട്ട്, അവൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഇന്നത് എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടല്ലാതെ നമ്മുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവനെ വിധിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
52 They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and see that out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
൫൨അവർ അവനോട്: നീയും ഗലീലക്കാരനോ? പരിശോധിച്ചുനോക്കുക; ഒരു പ്രവാചകനും ഗലീലയിൽ നിന്നു വരുന്നില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
53 [And they went every man unto his own house:
൫൩അങ്ങനെ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിൽപോയി.
