Job 12
1 Then Job answered and said,
௧யோபு மறுமொழியாக:
2 No doubt but ye are the people, And wisdom shall die with you.
௨“ஆம், நீங்களே ஞானமுள்ள மக்கள்; உங்களுடனே ஞானம் சாகும்.
3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: Yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
௩உங்களைப்போல எனக்கும் புத்தியுண்டு; உங்களைவிட நான் தாழ்ந்தவன் அல்ல; இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளை அறியாதவன் யார்?
4 I am as one that is a laughing-stock to his neighbor, I who called upon God, and he answered: The just, the perfect man is a laughing-stock.
௪என் நண்பர்களால் நான் நிந்திக்கப்பட்டு, தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; அவர் எனக்குத் திரும்ப பதில் அருளுவார்; உத்தமனாகிய நீதிமான் கேலிசெய்யப்படுகிறான்.
5 In the thought of him that is at ease there is contempt for misfortune; It is ready for them whose foot slippeth.
௫ஆபத்திற்குள்ளானவன் சுகமாயிருக்கிறவனுடைய நினைவில் இகழ்ச்சியடைகிறான்; கால் தடுமாறினவர்களுக்கு இது சம்பவிக்கும்.
6 The tents of robbers prosper, And they that provoke God are secure; Into whose hand God bringeth [abundantly].
௬திருடர்களுடைய கூடாரங்களில் செல்வமுண்டு; தேவனைக் கோபப்படுத்துகிறவர்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்புண்டு; அவர்கள் கையிலே தேவன் கொண்டுவந்து கொடுக்கிறார்.
7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; And the birds of the heavens, and they shall tell thee:
௭இப்போதும் நீ மிருகங்களைக் கேட்டுப்பார், அவைகள் உனக்குப் போதிக்கும் ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளைக் கேள், அவைகள் உனக்கு அறிவிக்கும்.
8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee; And the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
௮அல்லது பூமியை விசாரித்துக் கேள், அது உனக்குப் போதிக்கும்; சமுத்திரத்தின் மீன்களைக் கேள், அவைகள் உனக்கு விவரிக்கும்.
9 Who knoweth not in all these, That the hand of Jehovah hath wrought this,
௯யெகோவாவுடைய கரம் இதைச் செய்ததென்று இவைகள் எல்லாவற்றினாலும் அறியாதவன் யார்?
10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?
௧0எல்லா உயிரினங்களின் உயிரும், மாம்சமான எல்லா மனிதரின் ஆவியும் அவர் கையிலிருக்கிறது.
11 Doth not the ear try words, Even as the palate tasteth its food?
௧௧வாயானது ஆகாரத்தை ருசிபார்க்கிறதுபோல, காதானது வார்த்தைகளைச் சோதித்துப்பார்க்கிறதல்லவா?
12 With aged men is wisdom, And in length of days understanding.
௧௨முதியோரிடத்தில் ஞானமும் வயது சென்றவர்களிடத்தில் புத்தியும் இருக்குமே.
13 With [God] is wisdom and might; He hath counsel and understanding.
௧௩அவரிடத்தில் ஞானமும் வல்லமையும் எத்தனை அதிகமாக இருக்கும்? அவருக்குத்தான் ஆலோசனையும் புத்தியும் உண்டு.
14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again; He shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
௧௪இதோ, அவர் இடித்தால் கட்டமுடியாது; அவர் மனிதனை அடைத்தால் விடுவிக்கமுடியாது.
15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up; Again, he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
௧௫இதோ, அவர் தண்ணீர்களை அடக்கினால் எல்லாம் உலர்ந்துபோகும்; அவர் அவைகளை வரவிட்டால், பூமியைத் தலைகீழாக மாற்றும்.
16 With him is strength and wisdom; The deceived and the deceiver are his.
௧௬அவரிடத்தில் பெலனும் ஞானமுமுண்டு; மோசம் போகிறவனும் மோசம் போக்குகிறவனும், அவர் கையின் கீழிருக்கிறார்கள்.
17 He leadeth counsellors away stripped, And judges maketh he fools.
௧௭அவர் ஆலோசனைக்காரரைச் சிறைபிடித்து, நியாயாதிபதிகளின் புத்தியை மயக்குகிறார்.
18 He looseth the bond of kings, And he bindeth their loins with a girdle.
௧௮அவர் ராஜாக்களுடைய கட்டுகளை அவிழ்த்து, அவர்கள் இடுப்புகளில் துணியைக்கட்டுகிறார்.
19 He leadeth priests away stripped, And overthroweth the mighty.
௧௯அவர் மந்திரிகளைச் சிறைபிடித்துக் கொண்டுபோய், பெலவான்களைக் கவிழ்த்துப்போடுகிறார்.
20 He removeth the speech of the trusty, And taketh away the understanding of the elders.
௨0அவர் நம்பிக்கையுள்ளவர்களுடைய வார்த்தையை அகற்றி, முதிர்வயதுள்ளவர்களின் ஆலோசனையைத் தள்ளிப்போடுகிறார்.
21 He poureth contempt upon princes, And looseth the belt of the strong.
௨௧அவர் பிரபுக்களின்மேல் இகழ்ச்சி வரச்செய்கிறார்; பலவான்களின் வார்க்கச்சையைத் தளர்ந்துபோகச் செய்கிறார்.
22 He uncovereth deep things out of darkness, And bringeth out to light the shadow of death.
௨௨அவர் மறைவிடத்திலிருக்கிற ஆழங்களை வெளியரங்கமாக்கி, மரண இருளை வெளிச்சத்தில் கொண்டுவருகிறார்.
23 He increaseth the nations, and he destroyeth them: He enlargeth the nations, and he leadeth them captive.
௨௩அவர் தேசங்களைப் பெருகவும் அழியவும் செய்கிறார்; அவர் தேசங்களைப் பரவவும் குறுகவும் செய்கிறார்.
24 He taketh away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth, And causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
௨௪அவர் பூமியிலுள்ள தேசத்தின் அதிபதிகளின் நெஞ்சை அகற்றிப்போட்டு, அவர்களை வழியில்லாத வனாந்திரத்திலே அலையச்செய்கிறார்.
25 They grope in the dark without light; And he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.
௨௫அவர்கள் வெளிச்சமில்லாத இருளிலே தடவித்திரிகிறார்கள்; வெறித்தவர்களைப்போல அவர்களைத் தடுமாறி அலையவைக்கிறார்.
