< 1 Corinthians 2 >

1 And I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.
Xaq jeriꞌ wachalal, are xeꞌntzijoj ri uqꞌalajisanik ri Dios chiꞌwe, man xintzijoj ta chiꞌwe rukꞌ taq qꞌajajem tzij xuqujeꞌ man rukꞌ ta tzij ri kꞌax uchꞌobꞌik.
2 For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
Man xraj ta na kꞌuꞌx xintzijoj jun jastaq chik chiꞌwe are xinkꞌojiꞌ chiꞌxoꞌl, xane xwi xwaj xinqꞌalajisaj ri Cristo ri xripik.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
Man kꞌo ta nuchuqꞌabꞌ are xinkꞌojiꞌ chiꞌxoꞌl, xinbꞌiribꞌat che xibꞌin ibꞌ xuqujeꞌ mochꞌochꞌem.
4 And my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
Xuqujeꞌ man xintzijoj ta ri utzij ri Dios chiꞌwe rukꞌ menkꞌetibꞌal taq kitzij achyabꞌ xane rukꞌ ri ukꞌutuꞌn xuqujeꞌ ri ukwinem ri Tyoxalaj Uxlabꞌixel.
5 that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Jeriꞌ rech ri ikojobꞌal man kajeqiꞌ taj chirij ri ketaꞌmabꞌal ri winaq, xane pa ri ukwinem ri Dios.
6 We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought: (aiōn g165)
Pune jeriꞌ, kujtzijon kꞌu rukꞌ etaꞌmabꞌal kukꞌ ri e ko chik pa Cristo, man rukꞌ ta kꞌu etaꞌmabꞌal kech winaq rech we uwachulew xuqujeꞌ man rukꞌ ta etaꞌmabꞌal kech ri e taqanelabꞌ ri kasach na kiwach. (aiōn g165)
7 but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, [even] the [wisdom] that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory: (aiōn g165)
Xane kaqakꞌut ri jastaq ri awatal loq rech ri retaꞌmabꞌal ri Dios, jun etaꞌmabꞌal ri awatal loq xuqujeꞌ utzujum loq ri Dios chaqe ojer uloq. (aiōn g165)
8 which none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory: (aiōn g165)
Man kꞌo ta jun chike ri e taqanelabꞌ rech ri uwachulew xchꞌobꞌowik, rumal cher we ta xkichꞌobꞌo mat xkirip riꞌ ri Ajawxel rech juluwem. (aiōn g165)
9 but as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And [which] entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.
Xane jacha ri tzꞌibꞌatalik: Maj jun ilowinaq, xuqujeꞌ man kꞌo ta jun towinaq, man kꞌo ta jun chomabꞌal chꞌobꞌowinaq ri usukꞌumam apanoq ri Dios chike ri kakiloqꞌaj.
10 But unto us God revealed [them] through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Chanim kꞌut, ri Dios xukꞌut waꞌ we riꞌ chiqawach rumal ri Tyoxalaj Uxlabꞌixel, rumal cher ri Uxlabꞌixel kusolij rij ronojel pune are ri kꞌo pa ranimaꞌ ri Dios.
11 For who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God.
Qas tzij wi, rumal ¿jachin etaꞌmaninaq ri uchomanik ri winaq we man are ri ruxlabꞌal ri kꞌo pa areꞌ? Man kꞌo ta jun etaꞌmaninaq ri uchomanik ri Dios xane xaq xwi ri Tyoxalaj Uxlabꞌixel.
12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.
Uj man are ta qakꞌamawaꞌm ri uxlabꞌal rech ri uwachulew, xane are ri Uxlabꞌixel ri petinaq che ri Dios, rech jeriꞌ kaqachomaj ri xuya chaqe pa ri utoqꞌobꞌ.
13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual [words].
Are waꞌ ri kaqatzijoj rij, man kaqabꞌij ta kꞌut rukꞌ tzij kech achyabꞌ ri kꞌax uchomaxik, xane kaqaya ukꞌutik rukꞌ utzij ri Uxlabꞌixel, xaq jeriꞌ kaqabꞌij ri qas tzij rech ri Uxlabꞌixel pa utzijobꞌal ri Uxlabꞌixel.
14 Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.
Ri winaq ri man kꞌo ta ri Tyoxalaj Uxlabꞌixel pa ranimaꞌ man kukꞌamawaꞌj ta ri kape che ri Dios, rumal ri xaq tontiꞌrisabꞌal waꞌ we jastaq riꞌ cho areꞌ. Man kakwin ta kꞌu chuchꞌobꞌik rij, rumal cher we jastaq riꞌ xaq xwi kachꞌobꞌ rij pa ri Uxlabꞌixel.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.
Ri winaq kꞌut ri kꞌo pa ri Uxlabꞌixel kakwinik kuqꞌat tzij puꞌwiꞌ ronojel ri jastaq, areꞌ kꞌut maj jun kaqꞌatow tzij puꞌwiꞌ.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Jeriꞌ rumal: ¿Jachin xetaꞌman ri kꞌo pa ri uchomabꞌal ri Dios? ¿Jachin chiꞌwe kayoꞌw unoꞌjibꞌal? Are kꞌu ri uj kꞌo ri uchomabꞌal ri Cristo qukꞌ.
