Zechariah 3

1 He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the LORD’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

പിന്നീട്, മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ യോശുവ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിൽക്കുന്നതും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കുറ്റംചുമത്തുന്നതിനു സാത്താൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വലതുഭാഗത്തു നിൽക്കുന്നതും ദൂതൻ എന്നെ കാണിച്ചു.

2 The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! Yes, the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?”

യഹോവ സാത്താനോട്, “സാത്താനേ, യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഭർത്സിക്കുന്നു! ജെറുശലേമിനെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഭർത്സിക്കുന്നു! ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ തീയിൽനിന്നു വലിച്ചെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു കൊള്ളി അല്ലയോ?” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel.

യോശുവ ദൂതന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ, മുഷിഞ്ഞവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ് നിന്നിരുന്നത്.

4 He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”

അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെമുമ്പിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നവരോട് ദൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു: “അവന്റെ മുഷിഞ്ഞവസ്ത്രം നീക്കിക്കളയുക.” പിന്നീട് ദൂതൻ യോശുവയോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “നോക്കുക, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ പാപം നിന്നിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ മനോഹരവസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിക്കും.”

5 I said, “Let them set a clean turban on his head.” So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and the LORD’s angel was standing by.

അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു, “അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ തലയിൽ വെടിപ്പുള്ള ഒരു തലപ്പാവണിയിക്കുക.” യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവിടെ നിൽക്കുമ്പോൾത്തന്നെ അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ തലയിൽ വെടിപ്പുള്ള തലപ്പാവുവെച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഉത്സവവസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

6 The LORD’s angel solemnly assured Joshua, saying,

യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ യോശുവയ്ക്കു ഈ നിർദേശംനൽകി:

7 “The LORD of Armies says: ‘If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by.

“സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ‘നീ എന്നെ അനുസരിച്ചു ജീവിക്കുകയും എന്റെ നിബന്ധനകൾ അനുസരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്താൽ നീ എന്റെ ആലയത്തെ പരിപാലിക്കുകയും എന്റെ അങ്കണങ്ങൾ സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. ഇവിടെ നിൽക്കുന്നവരുടെ മധ്യത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് ഒരു സ്ഥാനം നൽകും.

8 Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign; for, behold, I will bring out my servant, the Branch.

“‘മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ യോശുവേ, നീയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിലിരിക്കുന്ന സഹപ്രവർത്തകരും ഇതു കേൾക്കുക, വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതീകമാണ് നിങ്ങൾ. ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദാസനെ, എന്റെ “ശാഖയെത്തന്നെ,” വരുത്തും.

9 For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua: on one stone are seven eyes; behold, I will engrave its inscription,’ says the LORD of Armies, ‘and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

ഞാൻ യോശുവയുടെ മുമ്പിൽവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കല്ലിനെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക! ആ കല്ലിൽ ഏഴു കണ്ണുകളുണ്ട്. ഞാൻ അതിൽ കൊത്തുപണിയായി ഒരു മേലെഴുത്ത് എഴുതും,’ എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. ‘ഞാൻ ഈ ദേശത്തിന്റെ പാപത്തെ ഒറ്റദിവസംകൊണ്ട് നീക്കിക്കളയും.

10 In that day,’ says the LORD of Armies, ‘you will invite every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.’”

“‘ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തരും തന്റെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെയും അത്തിവൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെയും കീഴിൽ ഇരിക്കാൻ തങ്ങളുടെ അയൽവാസിയെ ക്ഷണിക്കും,’ എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.”
