Romans 10
1 Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.
Hermanos, el deseo de mi corazón y mi oración a Dios es por Israel, para que se salve.
2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
Porque doy testimonio de ellos de que tienen celo por Dios, pero no según el conocimiento.
3 For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
Porque ignorando la justicia de Dios, y tratando de establecer su propia justicia, no se sometieron a la justicia de Dios.
4 For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Porque Cristo es el cumplimiento de la ley para la justicia de todo el que cree.
5 For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, “The one who does them will live by them.”
Porque Moisés escribe sobre la justicia de la ley: “El que las cumpla vivirá por ellas”.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith says this, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down);
Pero la justicia que es de la fe dice esto: “No digas en tu corazón: “¿Quién subirá al cielo? (es decir, hacer bajar a Cristo);
7 or, 'Who will descend into the Abyss (Abyssos g12)?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)"
o, ‘¿Quién bajará al abismo? (es decir, hacer subir a Cristo de entre los muertos)”. (Abyssos g12)
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart;” that is, the word of faith which we preach:
Pero, ¿qué dice? “La palabra está cerca de ti, en tu boca y en tu corazón”, es decir, la palabra de fe que predicamos:
9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
que si confiesas con tu boca que Jesús es el Señor y crees en tu corazón que Dios lo resucitó de entre los muertos, te salvarás.
10 For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
Porque con el corazón se cree para obtener la justicia, y con la boca se confiesa para obtener la salvación.
11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”
Porque la Escritura dice: “El que cree en él no quedará defraudado”.
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.
Porque no hay distinción entre judío y griego, pues el mismo Señor es Señor de todos, y es rico para todos los que le invocan.
13 For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Porque “Todo el que invoque el nombre del Señor se salvará”.
14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?
¿Cómo, pues, invocarán a aquel en quien no han creído? ¿Cómo creerán en él si no han oído? ¿Cómo oirán sin un predicador?
15 And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
¿Y cómo van a predicar si no son enviados? Como está escrito: “Qué hermosos son los pies de los que anuncian la Buena Nueva de la paz, que traen buenas noticias”.
16 But they did not all listen to the glad news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
Pero no todos escucharon las buenas noticias. Porque Isaías dice: “Señor, ¿quién ha creído en nuestro informe?”
17 So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Así que la fe viene por el oír, y el oír por la palabra de Dios.
18 But I say, did not they hear? Yes, most certainly, “Their sound went out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
Pero yo digo, ¿no escucharon? Sí, ciertamente, “Su sonido se extendió por toda la tierra, sus palabras hasta los confines del mundo”.
19 But I ask, did not Israel know? First Moses says, “I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation. I will make you angry with a nation void of understanding.”
Pero yo pregunto, ¿no lo sabía Israel? Primero dice Moisés, “Te provocaré a los celos con lo que no es una nación. Te haré enfadar con una nación vacía de entendimiento”.
20 Isaiah is very bold and says, “I was found by those who did not seek me. I was revealed to those who did not ask for me.”
Isaías es muy audaz y dice, “Me encontraron los que no me buscaron. Me revelé a los que no preguntaron por mí”.
21 But about Israel he says, “All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”
Pero sobre Israel dice: “Todo el día extendí mis manos a un pueblo desobediente y contrario”.
