Psalms 94

1 LORD, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine out.

Ya Allah, Engkaulah Allah yang membalas, tunjukkanlah pembalasan-Mu, ya TUHAN.

2 Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.

Bangkitlah, ya Hakim seluruh bumi, hukumlah orang congkak setimpal perbuatan mereka.

3 LORD, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?

Ya TUHAN, sampai kapan orang jahat bergembira? Sampai kapan, ya TUHAN?

4 They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.

Mereka melontarkan kata-kata yang kasar, dan menyombongkan kejahatan mereka.

5 They break your people in pieces, LORD, and afflict your heritage.

Mereka menindas umat-Mu, ya TUHAN, dan meremukkan orang-orang pilihan-Mu.

6 They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.

Mereka membunuh janda dan yatim piatu dan orang asing yang tinggal di negeri ini.

7 They say, “The LORD will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”

Kata mereka, "TUHAN tidak melihatnya, Allah Yakub tidak memperhatikannya."

8 Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?

Hai bangsaku, janganlah sebodoh itu, belajarlah memakai akalmu!

9 He who implanted the ear, will not he hear? He who formed the eye, will not he see?

Allah yang membuat telinga, apakah Ia tidak mendengar? Dia yang membuat mata, apakah Ia tidak melihat?

10 He who disciplines the nations, will not he punish? He who teaches man knows.

Dia yang mengajar bangsa-bangsa, apakah Ia tidak menghukum? Dia yang menjadi guru semua orang, apakah Ia tidak mempunyai pengetahuan?

11 The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.

TUHAN menyelami pikiran manusia, Ia tahu semuanya sia-sia belaka.

12 Blessed is the man whom you discipline, LORD, and teach out of your law,

Berbahagialah orang yang Kaudidik, ya TUHAN, orang yang Kauajari hukum-hukum-Mu.

13 that you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

Kautenangkan dia di hari-hari malapetaka, sampai digali lubang untuk menangkap orang jahat.

14 For the LORD will not reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Sebab TUHAN tak akan meninggalkan umat-Nya; Ia tak akan mengabaikan milik pusaka-Nya.

15 For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it.

Maka hukum akan ditegakkan lagi di pengadilan, semua orang jujur akan mendukungnya.

16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?

Siapa membela aku terhadap orang durhaka? Siapa memihak aku melawan orang yang berbuat jahat?

17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would have soon lived in silence.

Sekiranya TUHAN tidak menolong aku, aku nyaris pindah ke dunia orang mati.

18 When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, LORD, held me up.

Waktu aku berpikir bahwa aku akan jatuh, kasih-Mu, TUHAN, membuat aku berdiri kukuh.

19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

Apabila hatiku cemas dan gelisah, Engkau menghibur dan menggembirakan aku.

20 Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?

Engkau tidak bersekutu dengan hakim-hakim jahat, yang merancangkan kejahatan berdasarkan hukum.

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Mereka bersekongkol melawan orang jujur, dan menghukum mati orang yang tak bersalah.

22 But the LORD has been my high tower, my God, the rock of my refuge.

Tetapi TUHAN adalah pembelaku, Allahku menjadi pelindungku.

23 He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. The LORD, our God, will cut them off.

Ia menghukum orang jahat setimpal kejahatannya, dan membungkamkan mereka karena dosanya. TUHAN Allah kita akan membungkamkan mereka.
