Psalms 84
1 For the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by the sons of Korah. How lovely are your dwellings, LORD of Armies!
En Psalm Korah barnas, på Gittith, till att föresjunga. Huru lustige äro dina boningar, Herre Zebaoth!
2 My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of the LORD. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Min själ längtar och trängtar efter Herrans gårdar. Min kropp och själ fröjda sig uti lefvandes Gudi.
3 Yes, the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, near your altars, LORD of Armies, my King, and my God.
Ty foglen hafver funnit ett hus, och svalan sitt bo, der de sina ungar lägga; nämliga ditt altare, Herre Zebaoth, min Konung och min Gud.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. (Selah)
Salige äro de som i dino huse bo, de lofva dig till evig tid. (Sela)
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
Salige äro de menniskor, som dig för sin starkhet hålla, och af hjertat efter dig vandra;
6 Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
De der gå genom jämmerdalen, och göra der källor; och lärarena varda med mycken välsignelse prydde.
7 They go from strength to strength. Every one of them appears before God in Zion.
De vinna den ena segren efter den andra, att man se må, att den rätte Guden är i Zion.
8 LORD, God of Armies, hear my prayer. Listen, God of Jacob. (Selah)
Herre Gud Zebaoth, hör min bön; akta härtill, Jacobs Gud. (Sela)
9 Behold, God our shield, look at the face of your anointed.
Gud, vår sköld, skåda dock; se uppå din smordas rike.
10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Ty en dag uti dina gårdar är bättre, än eljest tusende. Jag vill heldre vakta dörrena uti mins Guds huse, än länge bo uti de ogudaktigas hyddom.
11 For the LORD God is a sun and a shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
Ty Herren Gud är sol och sköld. Herren gifver nåd och äro; dem frommom skall intet godt fattas.
12 LORD of Armies, blessed is the man who trusts in you.
Herre Zebaoth, säll är den menniska, som sig förlåter uppå dig.
