< Psalms 83 >
1 A song. A Psalm by Asaph. God, do not keep silent. Do not keep silent, and do not be still, God.
Faarfannaa Asaaf. Yaa Waaqi gab hin jedhin; yaa Waaqi, hin calʼisin; akkasumattis hin dhiisin.
2 For, behold, your enemies are stirred up. Those who hate you have lifted up their heads.
Diinonni kee akkam akka kakaʼan, warri si jibbanis akkam akka mataa ol qabatan ilaali.
3 They conspire with cunning against your people. They plot against your cherished ones.
Isaan saba keetti daba karoorfatu; warra ati eegdutti mariʼatu.
4 “Come,” they say, “let’s destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
Isaanis, “Kottaa akka maqaan Israaʼel lammata hin yaadatamneef, akka isaan saba hin taaneef isaan barbadeessinaa” jedhu.
5 For they have conspired together with one mind. They form an alliance against you.
Isaan yaada tokkoon walii galu; sittis ni gurmaaʼu;
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites;
isaanis dunkaanota Edoom, Ishmaaʼeeloota, Moʼaabii fi gosa Aggaar,
7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Gebaal, Amoonii fi Amaaleq, Filisxeemii fi namoota biyya Xiiroos wajjin turan.
8 Assyria also is joined with them. They have helped the children of Lot. (Selah)
Warri Asooriis, ilmaan Looxiitiif irree jabaa taʼuudhaaf isaanitti makaman.
9 Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;
Ati akkuma Midiyaanin goote, akkuma laga Qiishooniitti Siisaaraa fi Yaabiinin goote sana isaan godhi;
10 who perished at Endor, who became as dung for the earth.
isaan Eendooritti dhumanii akkuma kosii lafaa taʼan.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
Gurguddoota isaanii akka Hereebiitii fi Zeʼeeb, ilmaan mootota isaanii immoo akka Zebaa fi Zalmunaa godhi;
12 who said, “Let’s take possession of God’s pasture lands.”
isaan warra, “Kottaa, lafa tika Waaqaa fudhannee kan dhuunfaa keenyaa godhannaa” jedhanii dha.
13 My God, make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind.
Yaa Waaqa ko, akka awwaara bubbeen fudhatuu, akka habaqii qilleensi bittinneessuu isaan godhi.
14 As the fire that burns the forest, as the flame that sets the mountains on fire,
Akkuma ibiddi bosona balleessu, yookaan akkuma arrabni ibiddaa tulluuwwan gubu,
15 so pursue them with your tempest, and terrify them with your storm.
atis akkasuma aarii keetiin isaan gugsi; bubbee keetiin isaan sodaachisi.
16 Fill their faces with confusion, that they may seek your name, LORD.
Yaa Waaqayyo, akka isaan maqaa kee barbaaddataniif, fuula isaanii qaaniin haguugi.
17 Let them be disappointed and dismayed forever. Yes, let them be confounded and perish;
Isaan yeroo hunda qaanaʼanii haa dhiphatan; salphinaanis haa badan.
18 that they may know that you alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.
Isaan akka ati kan maqaan kee Waaqayyo taʼe sun qofti, lafa hundumaa irratti Waaqa Waan Hundaa Olii taate haa beekan.
