Psalms 53

1 For the Chief Musician. To the tune of “Mahalath.” A contemplation by David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity. There is no one who does good.

Para o músico chefe. Para a melodia de “Mahalath”. Uma contemplação de David. O tolo disse em seu coração: “Não há Deus”. Eles são corruptos, e fizeram uma abominável iniquidade. Não há ninguém que faça o bem.

2 God looks down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there are any who understood, who seek after God.

Deus olha do céu para os filhos dos homens, para ver se há alguém que tenha entendido, que buscam a Deus.

3 Every one of them has gone back. They have become filthy together. There is no one who does good, no, not one.

Every um deles voltou para trás. Eles se tornaram imundos juntos. Não há ninguém que faça o bem, não, não há ninguém.

4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on God?

Não ter os trabalhadores da iniqüidade conhecimento, que comem meu povo enquanto comem pão, e não invocam a Deus?

5 There they were in great fear, where no fear was, for God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you. You have put them to shame, because God has rejected them.

Ali estavam eles com muito medo, onde não havia medo, pois Deus espalhou os ossos d'Aquele que se encaminha contra você. Você os envergonhou, porque Deus os rejeitou.

6 Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When God brings back his people from captivity, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Oh que a salvação de Israel sairia de Sião! Quando Deus traz de volta seu povo do cativeiro, então Jacob se regozijará, e Israel ficará contente.
