Psalms 22
1 For the Chief Musician; set to “The Doe of the Morning.” A Psalm by David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?
聖歌隊の指揮者によってあけぼののめじかのしらべにあわせてうたわせたダビデの歌 わが神、わが神、なにゆえわたしを捨てられるのですか。なにゆえ遠く離れてわたしを助けず、わたしの嘆きの言葉を聞かれないのですか。
2 My God, I cry in the daytime, but you do not answer; in the night season, and am not silent.
わが神よ、わたしが昼よばわっても、あなたは答えられず、夜よばわっても平安を得ません。
3 But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.
しかしイスラエルのさんびの上に座しておられるあなたは聖なるおかたです。
4 Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them.
われらの先祖たちはあなたに信頼しました。彼らが信頼したので、あなたは彼らを助けられました。
5 They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.
彼らはあなたに呼ばわって救われ、あなたに信頼して恥をうけなかったのです。
6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.
しかし、わたしは虫であって、人ではない。人にそしられ、民に侮られる。
7 All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,
すべてわたしを見る者は、わたしをあざ笑い、くちびるを突き出し、かしらを振り動かして言う、
8 “He trusts in the LORD. Let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”
「彼は主に身をゆだねた、主に彼を助けさせよ。主は彼を喜ばれるゆえ、主に彼を救わせよ」と。
9 But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother’s breasts.
しかし、あなたはわたしを生れさせ、母のふところにわたしを安らかに守られた方です。
10 I was thrown on you from my mother’s womb. You are my God since my mother bore me.
わたしは生れた時から、あなたにゆだねられました。母の胎を出てからこのかた、あなたはわたしの神でいらせられました。
11 Do not be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is no one to help.
わたしを遠く離れないでください。悩みが近づき、助ける者がないのです。
12 Many bulls have surrounded me. Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.
多くの雄牛はわたしを取り巻き、バシャンの強い雄牛はわたしを囲み、
13 They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.
かき裂き、ほえたけるししのように、わたしにむかって口を開く。
14 I am poured out like water. All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It is melted within me.
わたしは水のように注ぎ出され、わたしの骨はことごとくはずれ、わたしの心臓は、ろうのように、胸のうちで溶けた。
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have brought me into the dust of death.
わたしの力は陶器の破片のようにかわき、わたしの舌はあごにつく。あなたはわたしを死のちりに伏させられる。
16 For dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and feet.
まことに、犬はわたしをめぐり、悪を行う者の群れがわたしを囲んで、わたしの手と足を刺し貫いた。
17 I can count all of my bones. They look and stare at me.
わたしは自分の骨をことごとく数えることができる。彼らは目をとめて、わたしを見る。
18 They divide my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing.
彼らは互にわたしの衣服を分け、わたしの着物をくじ引にする。
19 But do not be far off, LORD. You are my help. Hurry to help me!
しかし主よ、遠く離れないでください。わが力よ、速く来てわたしをお助けください。
20 Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog.
わたしの魂をつるぎから、わたしのいのちを犬の力から助け出してください。
21 Save me from the lion’s mouth! Yes, you have rescued me from the horns of the wild oxen.
わたしをししの口から、苦しむわが魂を野牛の角から救い出してください。
22 I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you.
わたしはあなたのみ名を兄弟たちに告げ、会衆の中であなたをほめたたえるでしょう。
23 You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel!
主を恐れる者よ、主をほめたたえよ。ヤコブのもろもろのすえよ、主をあがめよ。イスラエルのもろもろのすえよ、主をおじおそれよ。
24 For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.
主が苦しむ者の苦しみをかろんじ、いとわれず、またこれにみ顔を隠すことなく、その叫ぶときに聞かれたからである。
25 My praise of you comes in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him.
大いなる会衆の中で、わたしのさんびはあなたから出るのです。わたしは主を恐れる者の前で、わたしの誓いを果します。
26 The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise the LORD who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.
貧しい者は食べて飽くことができ、主を尋ね求める者は主をほめたたえるでしょう。どうか、あなたがたの心がとこしえに生きるように。
27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.
地のはての者はみな思い出して、主に帰り、もろもろの国のやからはみな、み前に伏し拝むでしょう。
28 For the kingdom is the LORD’s. He is the ruler over the nations.
国は主のものであって、主はもろもろの国民を統べ治められます。
29 All the rich ones of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he who cannot keep his soul alive.
地の誇り高ぶる者はみな主を拝み、ちりに下る者も、おのれを生きながらえさせえない者も、みなそのみ前にひざまずくでしょう。
30 Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about the Lord.
子々孫々、主に仕え、人々は主のことをきたるべき代まで語り伝え、
31 They shall come and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, for he has done it.
主がなされたその救を後に生れる民にのべ伝えるでしょう。
