Psalms 16
1 A Poem by David. Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you.
೧ದಾವೀದನ ಕಾವ್ಯ. ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶರಣಾಗತನು; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು.
2 My soul, you have said to the LORD, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.”
೨ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು, “ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು; ನನ್ನ ಸುಖವು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವೆನು.
3 As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.
೩ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವಜನರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ, “ಇವರೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರು, ಇವರೇ ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟರಾದವರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವೆನು.
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts to another god. Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take their names on my lips.
೪ಇತರ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವಲಂಬಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಕಷ್ಟನಷ್ಟಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗುವವು. ಅವರಂತೆ ನಾನು ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಪಾನದ್ರವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಅವರ ನಾಮಗಳನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಚ್ಚರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
5 The LORD assigned my portion and my cup. You made my lot secure.
೫ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲೂ, ನನ್ನ ಪಾನವೂ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೀ.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a good inheritance.
೬ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತವಾಗಿರುವ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ರಮಣೀಯವಾದದ್ದು; ಅದು ನನಗೆ ಸಂತೃಪ್ತಿಕರವಾಗಿದೆ.
7 I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.
೭ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ನಾನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವೆನು. ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಸಮಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಅಂತರಾತ್ಮವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
8 I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
೮ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನನ್ನೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆತನು ನನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕದಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety.
೯ಆದಕಾರಣ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಮನವು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಶರೀರವೂ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
10 For you will not leave my soul in Sheol (Sheol h7585), neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption.
೧೦ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಜೀವಾತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಪಾತಾಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಧೋಲೋಕವನ್ನು ನೋಡಗೊಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. (Sheol h7585)
11 You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.
೧೧ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಜೀವಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುವಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಂತೋಷವಿದೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಭಾಗ್ಯವಿದೆ.
