Psalms 146

1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, my soul.

Pujilah TUHAN! Hai jiwaku, pujilah TUHAN!

2 While I live, I will praise the LORD. I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist.

Aku mau memuji TUHAN selama hidupku dan menyanyi bagi Allahku selama aku ada.

3 Do not put your trust in princes, in a son of man in whom there is no help.

Janganlah berharap kepada penguasa, kepada manusia yang tak dapat menyelamatkan.

4 His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish.

Kalau mereka mati, mereka kembali ke tanah; hari itu juga semua rencana mereka lenyap.

5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD, his God,

Berbahagialah orang yang mengandalkan TUHAN Allahnya, dan mempunyai Allah Yakub sebagai penolongnya.

6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;

Dialah yang menjadikan langit dan bumi, laut dan segala isinya; Ia tetap setia selama-lamanya.

7 who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD frees the prisoners.

Ia membela hak orang-orang yang tertindas, dan memberi makan kepada orang yang lapar. TUHAN membebaskan para tahanan,

8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD raises up those who are bowed down. The LORD loves the righteous.

dan membuat orang buta dapat melihat. Ia menegakkan orang yang jatuh, dan mengasihi orang yang jujur.

9 The LORD preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but he turns the way of the wicked upside down.

Ia melindungi orang-orang asing; Ia menolong para janda dan yatim piatu, tetapi menggagalkan rencana orang jahat.

10 The LORD will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD!

TUHAN itu Raja untuk selama-lamanya. Hai Sion, Allahmu berkuasa selama segala abad. Pujilah TUHAN!
