< Psalms 129 >
1 A Song of Ascents. Many times they have afflicted me from my youth up. Let Israel now say:
Ka naasen awhkawng cekkhqi ing ni husit hawh uhy, tina – Israelkhqi ing amik kqawnnaak taw –
2 many times they have afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.
cekkhqi ing ka naasen awhkawng ni husit hlai uhy, amni noeng khawi uhy.
3 The plowers plowed on my back. They made their furrows long.
Lai ak nawkkhqi ing kam tingkawng awh lai nawk unawh, a qytnaak a ngaw sim hqa hy.
4 The LORD is righteous. He has cut apart the cords of the wicked.
Cehlai Bawipa taw dyng hy; anih ing thlakchekhqi a qui ce boet law nawh ni loet sak hy.
5 Let them be disappointed and turned backward, all those who hate Zion.
Zion ak sawhnaak thlangkhqi boeih taw chah doena hlat u seh.
6 Let them be as the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up,
Iptih na sai ak cawt, a tai hlan awh ak zai nawn amyihna awm u seh;
7 with which the reaper does not fill his hand, nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.
cemyih cetaw ak aatkung ing a kut awh ap pawm nawh, ak cawikung ingawm a ban awh ak be na ap tawm bai hy.
8 Neither do those who go by say, “The blessing of the LORD be on you. We bless you in the LORD’s name.”
Ce a hun awh ak cet saqui ing, “Bawipa a zoseennaak nak khan awh awm seh; Bawipang ming ing zoseennaak ni pe nyng,” am tina kawn.
