< Psalms 109 >

1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. God of my praise, do not remain silent,
Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo no. Dawid dwom. Me Nyankopɔn a mekamfo wo, nyɛ komm,
2 for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
na amumɔyɛfo ne nkontompofo atu wɔn ano agu me so; wɔde atoro tɛkrɛma akasa atia me.
3 They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
Wɔde nitansɛm atwa me ho ahyia na wɔtow hyɛ me so a menkaa wɔn.
4 In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.
Wɔka nsɛm to me so de tua mʼadɔeyɛ so ka, nanso meyɛ obi a mepɛ mpaebɔ.
5 They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
Wɔde bɔne tua me papayɛ so ka, na wɔde ɔtan tua mʼadɔeyɛ so ka.
6 Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.
Ma onipa bɔne bi nsɔre ntia no; na Satan nnyina ne nsa nifa so.
7 When he is judged, let him come out guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.
Wodi nʼasɛm a, ma onni fɔ, na ne mpaebɔ mmu no kumfɔ.
8 Let his days be few. Let another take his office.
Ma ne nkwa nna nyɛ kakraa bi; na ɔfoforo nsi nʼanan mu sɛ ɔkannifo.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Ma ne mma nyɛ ayisaa na ne yere nyɛ okunafo.
10 Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.
Ma ne mma nkyinkyin nsrɛsrɛ ade; ma wɔmpam wɔn mfi wɔn afi a abubu no mu.
11 Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.
Ma ɔdefirifo bi mfa nea ɔwɔ nyinaa; na ananafo mfom nʼadwuma so aba.
12 Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.
Mma obiara nhu no, anaa ne ayisaa mmɔbɔ.
13 Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
Ma nʼase nhyew, na wɔn din nyera wɔ awo ntoatoaso a ɛreba no mu.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD. Do not let the sin of his mother be blotted out.
Ma wɔnkae nʼagyanom nnebɔne wɔ Awurade anim; na ne na bɔne no ntena hɔ daa.
15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;
Wɔn bɔne nyinaa nka Awurade anim, na wɔankae wɔn bio wɔ asase so.
16 because he did not remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.
Efisɛ wannwene da sɛ ɔbɛyɛ adɔe, na mmom ɔtaa ahiafo mmɔborɔfo ne wɔn a wɔn werɛ ahow de kɔɔ owu mu.
17 Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He did not delight in blessing, and it was far from him.
Nʼani gyee sɛ ɔbɛdome enti nnome mmra no so; wampɛ sɛ obehyira enti nhyira mmɔ no.
18 He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.
Ɔhyɛɛ nnome sɛ atade; ɛno kɔɔ ne nipadua mu sɛ nsu, ne ne nnompe mu sɛ ngo.
19 Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.
Ma ɛnyɛ sɛ atade a ɛkyekyere ne ho, ne abɔso a ɛbɔ no daa.
20 This is the reward of my adversaries from the LORD, of those who speak evil against my soul.
Ma eyi nyɛ Awurade akatua a ɔde ma me sobobɔfo, wɔn a wɔka nsɛmmɔne fa me ho no.
21 But deal with me, GOD the Lord, for your name’s sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;
Nanso wo Asafo Awurade, wo din nti wo ne me nni no yiye; fi wʼadɔe mu gye me.
22 for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.
Efisɛ meyɛ ohiani ne nea onni bi, na me koma atɔ beraw wɔ me mu.
23 I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.
Mitwaa mu sɛ anwummere sunsuma; wopia me kyene sɛ mmoadabi.
24 My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.
Mmuadadi ama me nkotodwe mu agugow; mafɔn, na ama aka me nnompe.
25 I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.
Mayɛ aserewde ama wɔn a wɔbɔ me sobo; sɛ wohu me a, wɔwosow wɔn ti.
26 Help me, LORD, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness;
Boa me, Awurade me Nyankopɔn; gye me sɛnea wʼadɔe te.
27 that they may know that this is your hand; that you, LORD, have done it.
Ma wonhu sɛ ɛyɛ wo nsa, na wo na woayɛ, Awurade.
28 They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.
Wɔbɛdome, nanso wubehyira; sɛ wɔtow hyɛ me so a wɔn anim begu ase, nanso wo somfo ani begye.
29 Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
Mʼatamfo befura animguase; na akyekyere wɔn ho sɛ atade.
30 I will give great thanks to the LORD with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.
Mede mʼano bɛma Awurade so ayɛ no kɛse; mɛkamfo no wɔ dɔm mu.
31 For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.
Efisɛ ogyina ohiani nsa nifa so sɛ obegye no nkwa afi wɔn a wobu no kumfɔ nsam.
