Psalms 101

1 A Psalm by David. I will sing of loving kindness and justice. To you, LORD, I will sing praises.

Psaume de David Je veux chanter la bonté et la justice; C'est toi, Yahweh, que je veux célébrer.

2 I will be careful to live a blameless life. When will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a blameless heart.

Je prendrai garde à la voie de l'innocence. — Quand viendras-tu à moi? — Je marcherai dans l'intégrité de mon cœur, au milieu de ma maison.

3 I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of faithless men. They will not cling to me.

Je ne mettrai devant mes yeux aucune action mauvaise. Je hais la conduite perverse; elle ne s'attachera point à moi.

4 A perverse heart will be far from me. I will have nothing to do with evil.

Un cœur faux ne sera jamais le mien; je ne veux pas connaître le mal.

5 I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbor. I will not tolerate one who is arrogant and conceited.

Le détracteur qui déchire en secret son prochain, je l'exterminerai; L'homme au regard hautain et au cœur gonflé d'orgueil, je ne le supporterai pas.

6 My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will serve me.

J'aurai les yeux sur les hommes fidèles du pays, pour qu'ils demeurent auprès de moi; celui qui marche dans une voie intègre sera mon serviteur.

7 He who practices deceit will not dwell within my house. He who speaks falsehood will not be established before my eyes.

Il n'aura point de place dans ma maison, celui qui agit avec fourberie; celui qui profère le mensonge ne subsistera pas devant mes yeux.

8 Morning by morning, I will destroy all the wicked of the land, to cut off all the workers of iniquity from the LORD’s city.

Chaque matin j'exterminerai tous les méchants du pays, afin de retrancher de la cité de Yahweh tous ceux qui commettent l'iniquité.
