If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna (Geenna ).

What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age (aiōn ) and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the consummation of the age (aiōn ), and the reapers are angels.

Behold, one came to him and said, "Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have consummate (aiōnios ) life?"

paścāt sa dhanavānapi mamāra, taṁ śmaśānē sthāpayāmāsuśca; kintu paralōkē sa vēdanākulaḥ san ūrddhvāṁ nirīkṣya bahudūrād ibrāhīmaṁ tatkrōḍa iliyāsarañca vilōkya ruvannuvāca; (Hadēs )
A certain ruler asked him, saying, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit consummate (aiōnios ) life?"
aparam ēkōdhipatistaṁ papraccha, hē paramagurō, anantāyuṣaḥ prāptayē mayā kiṁ karttavyaṁ? (aiōnios )
who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age (aiōn ) to come, consummate (aiōnios ) life."
iha kālē tatō'dhikaṁ parakālē 'nantāyuśca na prāpsyati lōka īdr̥śaḥ kōpi nāsti| (aiōn , aiōnios )
Jesus said to them, "The people of this age (aiōn ) marry, and are given in marriage.
tadā yīśuḥ pratyuvāca, ētasya jagatō lōkā vivahanti vāgdattāśca bhavanti (aiōn )
But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age (aiōn ) and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.
kintu yē tajjagatprāptiyōgyatvēna gaṇitāṁ bhaviṣyanti śmaśānāccōtthāsyanti tē na vivahanti vāgdattāśca na bhavanti, (aiōn )
that whoever believes in him may have consummate (aiōnios ) life.
tasmād yaḥ kaścit tasmin viśvasiṣyati sō'vināśyaḥ san anantāyuḥ prāpsyati| (aiōnios )
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have consummate (aiōnios ) life.
īśvara itthaṁ jagadadayata yat svamadvitīyaṁ tanayaṁ prādadāt tatō yaḥ kaścit tasmin viśvasiṣyati sō'vināśyaḥ san anantāyuḥ prāpsyati| (aiōnios )
One who believes in the Son has consummate (aiōnios ) life, but one who disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
yaḥ kaścit putrē viśvasiti sa ēvānantam paramāyuḥ prāpnōti kintu yaḥ kaścit putrē na viśvasiti sa paramāyuṣō darśanaṁ na prāpnōti kintvīśvarasya kōpabhājanaṁ bhūtvā tiṣṭhati| (aiōnios )
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him by no means will thirst for the age (aiōn ); but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to consummate (aiōnios ) life."
kintu mayā dattaṁ pānīyaṁ yaḥ pivati sa punaḥ kadāpi tr̥ṣārttō na bhaviṣyati| mayā dattam idaṁ tōyaṁ tasyāntaḥ prasravaṇarūpaṁ bhūtvā anantāyuryāvat srōṣyati| (aiōn , aiōnios )
He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit to consummate (aiōnios ) life; that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
yaśchinatti sa vētanaṁ labhatē anantāyuḥsvarūpaṁ śasyaṁ sa gr̥hlāti ca, tēnaiva vaptā chēttā ca yugapad ānandataḥ| (aiōnios )
"Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has consummate (aiōnios ) life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
yuṣmānāhaṁ yathārthataraṁ vadāmi yō janō mama vākyaṁ śrutvā matprērakē viśvasiti sōnantāyuḥ prāpnōti kadāpi daṇḍabājanaṁ na bhavati nidhanādutthāya paramāyuḥ prāpnōti| (aiōnios )
"You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have consummate (aiōnios ) life; and these are they which testify about me.
dharmmapustakāni yūyam ālōcayadhvaṁ tai rvākyairanantāyuḥ prāpsyāma iti yūyaṁ budhyadhvē taddharmmapustakāni madarthē pramāṇaṁ dadati| (aiōnios )
Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to consummate (aiōnios ) life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him."
kṣayaṇīyabhakṣyārthaṁ mā śrāmiṣṭa kintvantāyurbhakṣyārthaṁ śrāmyata, tasmāt tādr̥śaṁ bhakṣyaṁ manujaputrō yuṣmābhyaṁ dāsyati; tasmin tāta īśvaraḥ pramāṇaṁ prādāt| (aiōnios )
This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have consummate (aiōnios ) life; and I will raise him up at the last day."
yaḥ kaścin mānavasutaṁ vilōkya viśvasiti sa śēṣadinē mayōtthāpitaḥ san anantāyuḥ prāpsyati iti matprērakasyābhimataṁ| (aiōnios )
Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has consummate (aiōnios ) life.
ahaṁ yuṣmān yathārthataraṁ vadāmi yō janō mayi viśvāsaṁ karōti sōnantāyuḥ prāpnōti| (aiōnios )
I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live in this age (aiōn ). Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh."
yajjīvanabhakṣyaṁ svargādāgacchat sōhamēva idaṁ bhakṣyaṁ yō janō bhuṅkttē sa nityajīvī bhaviṣyati| punaśca jagatō jīvanārthamahaṁ yat svakīyapiśitaṁ dāsyāmi tadēva mayā vitaritaṁ bhakṣyam| (aiōn )
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has consummate (aiōnios ) life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
yō mamāmiṣaṁ svādati mama sudhirañca pivati sōnantāyuḥ prāpnōti tataḥ śēṣē'hni tamaham utthāpayiṣyāmi| (aiōnios )
This is the bread which came down out of heaven—not as our fathers ate, and died. He who eats this bread will live in this age (aiōn )."
yadbhakṣyaṁ svargādāgacchat tadidaṁ yanmānnāṁ svāditvā yuṣmākaṁ pitarō'mriyanta tādr̥śam idaṁ bhakṣyaṁ na bhavati idaṁ bhakṣyaṁ yō bhakṣati sa nityaṁ jīviṣyati| (aiōn )
Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of consummate (aiōnios ) life.
tataḥ śimōn pitaraḥ pratyavōcat hē prabhō kasyābhyarṇaṁ gamiṣyāmaḥ? (aiōnios )
A bondservant does not live in the house for life (aiōn ). A son remains for a lifetime (aiōn ).
dāsaśca nirantaraṁ nivēśanē na tiṣṭhati kintu putrō nirantaraṁ tiṣṭhati| (aiōn )
Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death in this age (aiōn )."

Then the Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say, 'If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death in this age (aiōn ).'
yihūdīyāstamavadan tvaṁ bhūtagrasta itīdānīm avaiṣma| ibrāhīm bhaviṣyadvādinañca sarvvē mr̥tāḥ kintu tvaṁ bhāṣasē yō narō mama bhāratīṁ gr̥hlāti sa jātu nidhānāsvādaṁ na lapsyatē| (aiōn )
From the age (aiōn ) it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.
kōpi manuṣyō janmāndhāya cakṣuṣī adadāt jagadārambhād ētādr̥śīṁ kathāṁ kōpi kadāpi nāśr̥ṇōt| (aiōn )
I give consummate (aiōnios ) life to them. They will never perish in this age (aiōn ), and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
ahaṁ tēbhyō'nantāyu rdadāmi, tē kadāpi na naṁkṣyanti kōpi mama karāt tān harttuṁ na śakṣyati| (aiōn , aiōnios )
Whoever lives and believes in me will never die in this age (aiōn ). Do you believe this?"
yaḥ kaścana ca jīvan mayi viśvasiti sa kadāpi na mariṣyati, asyāṁ kathāyāṁ kiṁ viśvasiṣi? (aiōn )
He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it for consummate (aiōnios ) life.
yō janē nijaprāṇān priyān jānāti sa tān hārayiṣyati kintu yē jana ihalōkē nijaprāṇān apriyān jānāti sēnantāyuḥ prāptuṁ tān rakṣiṣyati| (aiōnios )
The multitude answered him, "We have heard from of the law that the Christ remains for this age (aiōn ). How do you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up?' Who is this Son of Man?"
tadā lōkā akathayan sōbhiṣiktaḥ sarvvadā tiṣṭhatīti vyavasthāgranthē śrutam asmābhiḥ, tarhi manuṣyaputraḥ prōtthāpitō bhaviṣyatīti vākyaṁ kathaṁ vadasi? manuṣyaputrōyaṁ kaḥ? (aiōn )
I know that his commandment is consummate (aiōnios ) life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak."
tasya sājñā anantāyurityahaṁ jānāmi, ataēvāhaṁ yat kathayāmi tat pitā yathājñāpayat tathaiva kathayāmyaham| (aiōnios )
Peter said to him, "You will never wash my feet in this lifetime (aiōn )!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with me."
tataḥ pitaraḥ kathitavān bhavān kadāpi mama pādau na prakṣālayiṣyati| yīśurakathayad yadi tvāṁ na prakṣālayē tarhi mayi tava kōpyaṁśō nāsti| (aiōn )
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may be with you in this age (aiōn ):
tatō mayā pituḥ samīpē prārthitē pitā nirantaraṁ yuṣmābhiḥ sārddhaṁ sthātum itaramēkaṁ sahāyam arthāt satyamayam ātmānaṁ yuṣmākaṁ nikaṭaṁ prēṣayiṣyati| (aiōn )
even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give consummate (aiōnios ) life to all whom you have given him.
tvaṁ yōllōkān tasya hastē samarpitavān sa yathā tēbhyō'nantāyu rdadāti tadarthaṁ tvaṁ prāṇimātrāṇām adhipatitvabhāraṁ tasmai dattavān| (aiōnios )
This is consummate (aiōnios ) life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
yastvam advitīyaḥ satya īśvarastvayā prēritaśca yīśuḥ khrīṣṭa ētayōrubhayōḥ paricayē prāptē'nantāyu rbhavati| (aiōnios )
because you will not leave my soul in Hades (Hadēs ), neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.
paralōkē yatō hētōstvaṁ māṁ naiva hi tyakṣyasi| svakīyaṁ puṇyavantaṁ tvaṁ kṣayituṁ naiva dāsyasi| ēvaṁ jīvanamārgaṁ tvaṁ māmēva darśayiṣyasi| (Hadēs )
he foreseeing this, spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul was not left in Hades (Hadēs ), and his flesh did not see decay.
iti jñātvā dāyūd bhaviṣyadvādī san bhaviṣyatkālīyajñānēna khrīṣṭōtthānē kathāmimāṁ kathayāmāsa yathā tasyātmā paralōkē na tyakṣyatē tasya śarīrañca na kṣēṣyati; (Hadēs )
whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke from the age (aiōn ) by the mouth of his holy prophets.
kintu jagataḥ sr̥ṣṭimārabhya īśvarō nijapavitrabhaviṣyadvādigaṇōna yathā kathitavān tadanusārēṇa sarvvēṣāṁ kāryyāṇāṁ siddhiparyyantaṁ tēna svargē vāsaḥ karttavyaḥ| (aiōn )
Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, "It was necessary that God's word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from yourselves, and judge yourselves unworthy of consummate (aiōnios ) life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

Do not be conformed to this age (aiōn ), but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

but now is revealed, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the consummate (aiōnios ) God, is made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;
tasyā mantraṇāyā jñānaṁ labdhvā mayā yaḥ susaṁvādō yīśukhrīṣṭamadhi pracāryyatē, tadanusārād yuṣmān dharmmē susthirān karttuṁ samarthō yō'dvitīyaḥ (aiōnios )
to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn )! Amen.
sarvvajña īśvarastasya dhanyavādō yīśukhrīṣṭēna santataṁ bhūyāt| iti| (aiōn )
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age (aiōn )? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
jñānī kutra? śāstrī vā kutra? ihalōkasya vicāratatparō vā kutra? ihalōkasya jñānaṁ kimīśvarēṇa mōhīkr̥taṁ nahi? (aiōn )
We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown, yet a wisdom not of this age (aiōn ) nor of the rulers of this age (aiōn ) who are coming to nothing.
vayaṁ jñānaṁ bhāṣāmahē tacca siddhalōkai rjñānamiva manyatē, tadihalōkasya jñānaṁ nahi, ihalōkasya naśvarāṇām adhipatīnāṁ vā jñānaṁ nahi; (aiōn )
But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the ages (aiōn ) for our glory,
kintu kālāvasthāyāḥ pūrvvasmād yat jñānam asmākaṁ vibhavārtham īśvarēṇa niścitya pracchannaṁ tannigūḍham īśvarīyajñānaṁ prabhāṣāmahē| (aiōn )
which none of the rulers of this age (aiōn ) has known. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
ihalōkasyādhipatīnāṁ kēnāpi tat jñānaṁ na labdhaṁ, labdhē sati tē prabhāvaviśiṣṭaṁ prabhuṁ kruśē nāhaniṣyan| (aiōn )
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this age (aiōn ), let him become a fool, that he may become wise.
kōpi svaṁ na vañcayatāṁ| yuṣmākaṁ kaścana cēdihalōkasya jñānēna jñānavānahamiti budhyatē tarhi sa yat jñānī bhavēt tadarthaṁ mūḍhō bhavatu| (aiōn )
Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat for this age (aiōn ), that I do not cause my brother to stumble.
atō hētōḥ piśitāśanaṁ yadi mama bhrātu rvighnasvarūpaṁ bhavēt tarhyahaṁ yat svabhrātu rvighnajanakō na bhavēyaṁ tadarthaṁ yāvajjīvanaṁ piśitaṁ na bhōkṣyē| (aiōn )
Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages (aiōn ) have come.
tān prati yānyētāni jaghaṭirē tānyasmākaṁ nidarśanāni jagataḥ śēṣayugē varttamānānām asmākaṁ śikṣārthaṁ likhitāni ca babhūvuḥ| (aiōn )
"Death, where is your sting? Hades (Hadēs ), where is your victory?"
mr̥tyō tē kaṇṭakaṁ kutra paralōka jayaḥ kka tē|| (Hadēs )
in whom the god of this age (aiōn ) has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.
yata īśvarasya pratimūrtti ryaḥ khrīṣṭastasya tējasaḥ susaṁvādasya prabhā yat tān na dīpayēt tadartham iha lōkasya dēvō'viśvāsināṁ jñānanayanam andhīkr̥tavān ētasyōdāharaṇaṁ tē bhavanti| (aiōn )
For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly a consummate (aiōnios ) weight of glory,
kṣaṇamātrasthāyi yadētat laghiṣṭhaṁ duḥkhaṁ tad atibāhulyēnāsmākam anantakālasthāyi gariṣṭhasukhaṁ sādhayati, (aiōnios )
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are consummate (aiōnios ).
yatō vayaṁ pratyakṣān viṣayān anuddiśyāpratyakṣān uddiśāmaḥ| yatō hētōḥ pratyakṣaviṣayāḥ kṣaṇamātrasthāyinaḥ kintvapratyakṣā anantakālasthāyinaḥ| (aiōnios )
For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, consummate (aiōnios ), in the heavens.

asmākaṁ tātēśvarēsyēcchānusārēṇa varttamānāt kutsitasaṁsārād asmān nistārayituṁ yō (aiōn )
to whom be the glory for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn ). Amen.
yīśurasmākaṁ pāpahētōrātmōtsargaṁ kr̥tavān sa sarvvadā dhanyō bhūyāt| tathāstu| (aiōn )
For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap consummate (aiōnios ) life.
svaśarīrārthaṁ yēna bījam upyatē tēna śarīrād vināśarūpaṁ śasyaṁ lapsyatē kintvātmanaḥ kr̥tē yēna bījam upyatē tēnātmatō'nantajīvitarūpaṁ śasyaṁ lapsyatē| (aiōnios )
far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age (aiōn ), but also in that which is to come.

aham amarastathāpi mr̥tavān kintu paśyāham anantakālaṁ yāvat jīvāmi| āmēn| mr̥tyōḥ paralōkasya ca kuñjikā mama hastagatāḥ| (aiōn , Hadēs )
When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn ),
itthaṁ taiḥ prāṇibhistasyānantajīvinaḥ siṁhāsanōpaviṣṭasya janasya prabhāvē gauravē dhanyavādē ca prakīrttitē (aiōn )
the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn ), and throw their crowns before the throne, saying,
tē caturviṁśatiprācīnā api tasya siṁhāsanōpaviṣṭasyāntikē praṇinatya tam anantajīvinaṁ praṇamanti svīyakirīṭāṁśca siṁhāsanasyāntikē nikṣipya vadanti, (aiōn )
I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn )! Amen!"
aparaṁ svargamarttyapātālasāgarēṣu yāni vidyantē tēṣāṁ sarvvēṣāṁ sr̥ṣṭavastūnāṁ vāgiyaṁ mayā śrutā, praśaṁsāṁ gauravaṁ śauryyam ādhipatyaṁ sanātanaṁ| siṁhasanōpaviṣṭaśca mēṣavatsaśca gacchatāṁ| (aiōn )
And behold, a pale horse, and the name of he who sat on it was Death. Hades (Hadēs ) followed with him. Authority over one fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword, with famine, with death, and by the wild animals of the earth was given to him.
tataḥ pāṇḍuravarṇa ēkō 'śvō mayā dr̥ṣṭaḥ, tadārōhiṇō nāma mr̥tyuriti paralōkaśca tam anucarati khaṅgēna durbhikṣēṇa mahāmāryyā vanyapaśubhiśca lōkānāṁ badhāya pr̥thivyāścaturthāṁśasyādhipatyaṁ tasmā adāyi| (Hadēs )
saying, "Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn )! Amen."
tathāstu dhanyavādaśca tējō jñānaṁ praśaṁsanaṁ| śauryyaṁ parākramaścāpi śaktiśca sarvvamēva tat| varttatāmīśvarē'smākaṁ nityaṁ nityaṁ tathāstviti| (aiōn )
The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the Abyss (Abyssos ) was given to him.
tataḥ paraṁ saptamadūtēna tūryyāṁ vāditāyāṁ gaganāt pr̥thivyāṁ nipatita ēkastārakō mayā dr̥ṣṭaḥ, tasmai rasātalakūpasya kuñjikādāyi| (Abyssos )
He opened the pit of the Abyss (Abyssos ), and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke from a burning furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit.
tēna rasātalakūpē muktē mahāgnikuṇḍasya dhūma iva dhūmastasmāt kūpād udgataḥ| tasmāt kūpadhūmāt sūryyākāśau timirāvr̥tau| (Abyssos )
They have over them as king the angel of the Abyss (Abyssos ). His name in Hebrew is "Abaddon", and in Greek, he has the name "Apollyon".
tēṣāṁ rājā ca rasātalasya dūtastasya nāma ibrīyabhāṣayā abaddōn yūnānīyabhāṣayā ca apalluyōn arthatō vināśaka iti| (Abyssos )
and swore by him who lives for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn ), who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there will no longer be delay,
aparaṁ svargād yasya ravō mayāśrāvi sa puna rmāṁ sambhāvyāvadat tvaṁ gatvā samudramēdinyōstiṣṭhatō dūtasya karāt taṁ vistīrṇa kṣudragranthaṁ gr̥hāṇa, tēna mayā dūtasamīpaṁ gatvā kathitaṁ granthō 'sau dīyatāṁ| (aiōn )
When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the Abyss (Abyssos ) will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.
aparaṁ tayōḥ sākṣyē samāptē sati rasātalād yēnōtthitavyaṁ sa paśustābhyāṁ saha yuddhvā tau jēṣyati haniṣyati ca| (Abyssos )
The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ. He will reign for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn )!"
anantaraṁ saptadūtēna tūryyāṁ vāditāyāṁ svarga uccaiḥ svarairvāgiyaṁ kīrttitā, rājatvaṁ jagatō yadyad rājyaṁ tadadhunābhavat| asmatprabhōstadīyābhiṣiktasya tārakasya ca| tēna cānantakālīyaṁ rājatvaṁ prakariṣyatē|| (aiōn )
I saw an angel flying in mid heaven, having the consummate (aiōnios ) Good News to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language, and people.
anantaram ākāśamadhyēnōḍḍīyamānō 'para ēkō dūtō mayā dr̥ṣṭaḥ sō 'nantakālīyaṁ susaṁvādaṁ dhārayati sa ca susaṁvādaḥ sarvvajātīyān sarvvavaṁśīyān sarvvabhāṣāvādinaḥ sarvvadēśīyāṁśca pr̥thivīnivāsinaḥ prati tēna ghōṣitavyaḥ| (aiōnios )
The smoke of their torment goes up for ages (aiōn ) of ages (aiōn ). They have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.
tēṣāṁ yātanāyā dhūmō 'nantakālaṁ yāvad udgamiṣyati yē ca paśuṁ tasya pratimāñca pūjayanti tasya nāmnō 'ṅkaṁ vā gr̥hlanti tē divāniśaṁ kañcana virāmaṁ na prāpsyanti| (aiōn )
One of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn ).
aparaṁ caturṇāṁ prāṇinām ēkastēbhyaḥ saptadūtēbhyaḥ saptasuvarṇakaṁsān adadāt| (aiōn )
The beast that you saw was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the Abyss (Abyssos ) and to go into destruction. Those who dwell on the earth and whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel when they see that the beast was, and is not, and shall be present.
tvayā dr̥ṣṭō 'sau paśurāsīt nēdānīṁ varttatē kintu rasātalāt tēnōdētavyaṁ vināśaśca gantavyaḥ| tatō yēṣāṁ nāmāni jagataḥ sr̥ṣṭikālam ārabhya jīvanapustakē likhitāni na vidyantē tē pr̥thivīnivāsinō bhūtam avarttamānamupasthāsyantañca taṁ paśuṁ dr̥ṣṭvāścaryyaṁ maṁsyantē| (Abyssos )
A second said, "Hallelujah! Her smoke goes up for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn )."
punarapi tairidamuktaṁ yathā, brūta parēśvaraṁ dhanyaṁ yannityaṁ nityamēva ca| tasyā dāhasya dhūmō 'sau diśamūrddhvamudēṣyati|| (aiōn )
The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire (Limnē Pyr ) that burns with sulfur.
tataḥ sa paśu rdhr̥tō yaśca mithyābhaviṣyadvaktā tasyāntikē citrakarmmāṇi kurvvan tairēva paśvaṅkadhāriṇastatpratimāpūjakāṁśca bhramitavān sō 'pi tēna sārddhaṁ dhr̥taḥ| tau ca vahnigandhakajvalitahradē jīvantau nikṣiptau| (Limnē Pyr )
I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the Abyss (Abyssos ) and a great chain in his hand.
tataḥ paraṁ svargād avarōhan ēkō dūtō mayā dr̥ṣṭastasya karē ramātalasya kuñjikā mahāśr̥ṅkhalañcaikaṁ tiṣṭhataḥ| (Abyssos )
and cast him into the Abyss (Abyssos ), and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time.
aparaṁ rasātalē taṁ nikṣipya tadupari dvāraṁ ruddhvā mudrāṅkitavān yasmāt tad varṣasahasraṁ yāvat sampūrṇaṁ na bhavēt tāvad bhinnajātīyāstēna puna rna bhramitavyāḥ| tataḥ param alpakālārthaṁ tasya mōcanēna bhavitavyaṁ| (Abyssos )
The devil who deceived them was thrown into the Lake of Fire (Limnē Pyr ) and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn ).
tēṣāṁ bhramayitā ca śayatānō vahnigandhakayō rhradē 'rthataḥ paśu rmithyābhaviṣyadvādī ca yatra tiṣṭhatastatraiva nikṣiptaḥ, tatrānantakālaṁ yāvat tē divāniśaṁ yātanāṁ bhōkṣyantē| (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades (Hadēs ) gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.
tadānīṁ samudrēṇa svāntarasthā mr̥tajanāḥ samarpitāḥ, mr̥tyuparalōkābhyāmapi svāntarasthā mr̥tajanāḥ sarmipatāḥ, tēṣāñcaikaikasya svakriyānuyāyī vicāraḥ kr̥taḥ| (Hadēs )
Death and Hades (Hadēs ) were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death, the Lake of Fire (Limnē Pyr ).
aparaṁ mr̥tyuparalōkau vahnihradē nikṣiptau, ēṣa ēva dvitīyō mr̥tyuḥ| (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr )
If anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire (Limnē Pyr ).
yasya kasyacit nāma jīvanapustakē likhitaṁ nāvidyata sa ēva tasmin vahnihradē nyakṣipyata| (Limnē Pyr )
But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire (Limnē Pyr ) and sulfur, which is the second death."
kintu bhītānām aviśvāsināṁ ghr̥ṇyānāṁ narahantr̥ṇāṁ vēśyāgāmināṁ mōhakānāṁ dēvapūjakānāṁ sarvvēṣām anr̥tavādināñcāṁśō vahnigandhakajvalitahradē bhaviṣyati, ēṣa ēva dvitīyō mr̥tyuḥ| (Limnē Pyr )
There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign for the ages (aiōn ) of the ages (aiōn ).
tadānīṁ rātriḥ puna rna bhaviṣyati yataḥ prabhuḥ paramēśvarastān dīpayiṣyati tē cānantakālaṁ yāvad rājatvaṁ kariṣyantē| (aiōn )
