All his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. He said, "For I will go down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) to my son, mourning." His father wept for him.
Da machten sich all seine Söhne und Töchter daran, ihn zu trösten; er aber wollte sich nicht trösten lassen. Er sprach: "Nein! Trauernd fahre ich zu meinem Sohne in die Unterwelt." Und sein Vater weinte um ihn. (Sheol h7585)
He said, "My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left. If harm happens to him along the way in which you go, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol (Sheol h7585)."

So they, and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol (Sheol h7585). The earth closed on them, and they perished from among the assembly.

The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the consummation of the age (aiōn g165), and the reapers are angels.

As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the consummation of this age (aiōn g165).

If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the consummate (aiōnios g166) fire.

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age (aiōn g165)? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
Wo bleibt der Weise, wo der Schriftgelehrte und wo der Wortfechter dieser Welt? Hat Gott denn nicht die Weisheit der Welt zur Torheit werden lassen? (aiōn g165)
We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown, yet a wisdom not of this age (aiōn g165) nor of the rulers of this age (aiōn g165) who are coming to nothing.
Wir künden zwar bei den Vollendeten auch Weisheit, doch nicht die Weisheit dieser Welt, noch die der Mächtigen dieser Welt, die zugrunde gehen. (aiōn g165)
But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the ages (aiōn g165) for our glory,

which none of the rulers of this age (aiōn g165) has known. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Keiner der Mächtigen dieser Welt hat sie verstanden, denn wenn sie sie verstanden hätten, hätten sie den Herrn der Herrlichkeit nicht gekreuzigt. (aiōn g165)
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this age (aiōn g165), let him become a fool, that he may become wise.
Daß sich doch keiner täusche! Wer unter euch für diese Welt sich weise dünkt, der werde doch zuerst ein Tor und so erst weise. (aiōn g165)
Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat for this age (aiōn g165), that I do not cause my brother to stumble.

Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages (aiōn g165) have come.

For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly a consummate (aiōnios g166) weight of glory,
