Luke 6
1 Now on the second Sabbath after the first, he was going through the grain fields. His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate, rubbing them in their hands.
Y ACONTECIÓ que pasando el por los sembrados en un Sábado segundo del primero, sus discípulos arrancaban espigas, y comian, estregándo[las] con las manos.
2 But some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath day?”
Y algunos de los Fariséos les dijeron: ¿Por qué haceis lo que no es lícito hacer en los Sábados?
3 Jesus, answering them, said, “Have not you read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him,
Y respondiendo Jesus les dijo: ¿Ni aun esto habeis leido qué hizo David cuando tuvo hambre, él, y los que con él estaban?
4 how he entered into God’s house, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?”
¿Cómo entró en la casa de Dios, y tomó los panes de la proposicion, y comió y dió tambien á los que [estaban] con él; los cuales no era lícito comer, sino á solos los sacerdotes?
5 He said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”
Y les decia: El Hijo del hombre es Señor aun del Sábado.
6 It also happened on another Sabbath that he entered into the synagogue and taught. There was a man there, and his right hand was withered.
Y aconteció tambien en otro Sábado, que él entró en la sinagoga y enseñaba; y estaba allí un hombre que tenia la mano derecha seca.
7 The scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against him.
Y le acechaban los escribas y los Fariséos, si sanaria en Sábado, por hallar de qué le acusasen.
8 But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Rise up and stand in the middle.” He arose and stood.
Mas él sabia los pensamientos de ellos; y dijo al hombre que tenia la mano seca: Levántate, y ponte en medio. Y él, levantándose, se puso en pié.
9 Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?”
Entónces Jesus les dice: Os preguntaré [una cosa: ] ¿Es lícito en Sábados hacer bien, ó hacer mal? ¿salvar la vida, ó quitarla?
10 He looked around at them all, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.
Y mirándolos á todos alrededor, dice al hombre: Extiende tu mano; y él lo hizo así, y su mano fué restaurada.
11 But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Jesus.
Y ellos se llenaron de rabia, y hablaban los unos á los otros qué harian á Jesus.
12 In these days, he went out to the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.
Y aconteció en aquellos dias, que fué al monte á orar, y pasó la noche orando á Dios.
13 When it was day, he called his disciples, and from them he chose twelve, whom he also named apostles:
Y como fué de dia, llamo á sus discípulos, y escogió doce de ellos, los cuales tambien llamó apóstoles:
14 Simon, whom he also named Peter; Andrew, his brother; James; John; Philip; Bartholomew;
A Simon, al cual tambien llamó Pedro, y á Andrés su hermano; Jacobo y Juan, Felipe y Bartolomé,
15 Matthew; Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus; Simon who was called the Zealot;
Mateo y Tomás, y Jacobo [hijo] de Alféo, y Simon el que se llama Celador;
16 Judas the son of James; and Judas Iscariot, who also became a traitor.
Júdas hermano de Jacobo, y Júdas Iscariote, que tambien fué el traidor.
17 He came down with them and stood on a level place, with a crowd of his disciples and a great number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases,
Y descendió con ellos, y se paró en un lugar llano, y la compañía de sus discípulos, y una grande multitud de pueblo de toda Judéa y de Jerusalem, y de la costa de Tiro y de Sidon, que habian venido á oirle, y para ser sanados de sus enfermedades;
18 as well as those who were troubled by unclean spirits; and they were being healed.
Y [otros] que habian sido atormentados de espíritus inmundos: y estaban curados.
19 All the multitude sought to touch him, for power came out of him and healed them all.
Y toda la gente procuraba tocarle; porque salia de él virtud, y sanaba á todos.
20 He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for God’s Kingdom is yours.
Y alzando él los ojos á sus discípulos, decia: Bienaventurados [vosotros] los pobres, porque vuestro es el reino de Dios.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
Bienaventurados los que ahora teneis hambre; porque seréis saciados. Bienaventurados los que ahora llorais; porque reiréis.
22 Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.
Bienaventurados seréis cuando los hombres os aborrecieren, y cuando os apartaren de sí, y os denostaren, y desecharen vuestro nombre como malo por el Hijo del hombre.
23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.
Gozáos en aquel dia, y alegráos; porque hé aquí vuestro galardon [es] grande en los cielos: porque así hacian sus padres á los profetas.
24 “But woe to you who are rich! For you have received your consolation.
Mas ¡ay de vosotros, ricos! porque teneis vuestro consuelo.
25 Woe to you, you who are full now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.
¡Ay de vosotros, los que estais hartos! porque tendréis hambre. ¡Ay de vosotros, los que ahora reís! porque lamentaréis y lloraréis.
26 Woe, when men speak well of you, for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.
¡Ay de vosotros, cuando todos los hombres dijeren bien de vosotros! porque así hacian sus padres á los falsos profetas.
27 “But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
Mas á vosotros los que oís, digo: Amad á vuestros enemigos; haced bien á los que os aborrecen.
28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.
Bendecid á los que os maldicen, y orad por los que os calumnian.
29 To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your coat also.
Y al que te hiriere en la mejilla, dále tambien la otra: y al que te quitare la capa, ni aun el sayo le defiendas.
30 Give to everyone who asks you, and do not ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.
Y á cualquiera que te pidiere, dá: y al que tomare lo que [es] tuyo, no vuelvas á pedir.
31 “As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.
Y como quereis que os hagan los hombres, así hacedles tambien vosotros.
32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
Porque si amais á los que os aman; ¿qué gracias tendréis? porque tambien los pecadores aman á los que los aman.
33 If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
Y si hiciereis bien á los que os hacen bien, ¿que gracias tendréis? porque tambien los pecadores hacen lo mismo.
34 If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.
Y si prestareis á aquellos de quienes esperais recibir, ¿qué gracias tendreis? porque tambien los pecadores prestan á los pecadores, para recibir otro tanto.
35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
Amad pues á vuestros enemigos; y haced bien, y prestad no esperando de ello nada: y será vuestro galardon grande, y seréis hijos del Altísimo: porque él es benigno [aun] para con los ingratos y malos.
36 “Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.
Sed pues misericordiosos, como tambien vuestro Padre es misericordioso.
37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free.
No juzgueis, y no sereis juzgados: no condeneis, y no seréis condenados: perdonad, y seréis perdonados.
38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.”
Dad, y se os dará; medida buena, apretada, remecida, y rebosando, darán en vuestro seno: porque con la misma medida que midiereis, os será vuelto á medir.
39 He spoke a parable to them. “Can the blind guide the blind? Will not they both fall into a pit?
Y les decia una parábola: ¿Puede el ciego guiar al ciego? ¿no caerán ambos en el hoyo?
40 A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.
El discípulo no es sobre su maestro; mas cualquiera que fuere como el maestro, será perfecto.
41 Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the beam that is in your own eye?
¿Por qué miras la paja que [está] en el ojo de tu hermano, y la viga que [está] en tu propio ojo no consideras?
42 Or how can you tell your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye.
¿O cómo puedes decir á tu hermano: Hermano, deja, echaré fuera la paja que [está] en tu ojo, no mirando tú la viga que [está] en tu ojo? Hipócrita, echa primero fuera de tu ojo la viga, y entónces verás bien para sacar la paja que [está] en el ojo de tu
43 “For there is no good tree that produces rotten fruit, nor again a rotten tree that produces good fruit.
Porque no es buen árbol el que da malos frutos; ni árbol malo el que da buen fruto.
44 For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.
Porque cada árbol por su fruto es conocido: que no cogen higos de las espinas, ni vendimian uvas de las zarzas.
45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
El buen hombre del buen tesoro de su corazon saca bien: y el mal hombre del mal tesoro de su corazon saca mal; porque de la abundancia del corazon habla su boca.
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do the things which I say?
¿Por qué me llamais, Señor, Señor, y no haceis lo que digo?
47 Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words and does them, I will show you who he is like.
Todo aquel que viene á mí, y oye mis palabras, y las hace, [yo] os enseñaré á quien es semejante:
48 He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.
Semejante es al hombre que edifica una casa, el cual cavó y ahondó, y puso el fundamento sobre la peña: y cuando vino una avenida, el rio dió con ímpetu en aquella casa, mas no la pudo menear; porque estaba fundada sobre la peña.
49 But he who hears and does not do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
Mas el que oyó y no hizo, semejante es al hombre que edificó su casa sobre tierra, sin fundamento; en la cual el rio dió con ímpetu, y luego cayó: y fué grande la ruina de aquella casa.
