Jonah 2
1 Then Jonah prayed to the LORD, his God, out of the fish’s belly.
| و یونس از شکم ماهی نزد یهوه خدای خود دعا نمود | ۱ |
2 He said, "I called because of my affliction to the LORD. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol (Sheol h7585) I cried. You heard my voice.
| و گفت: «در تنگی خودخداوند را خواندم و مرا مستجاب فرمود. ازشکم هاویه تضرع نمودم و آواز مرا شنیدی. (Sheol h7585) | ۲ |
3 For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.
| زیرا که مرا به ژرفی در دل دریاها انداختی وسیلها مرا احاطه نمود. جمیع خیزابها و موجهای تو بر من گذشت. | ۳ |
4 I said, ‘I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’
| و من گفتم از پیش چشم توانداخته شدم. لیکن هیکل قدس تو را باز خواهم دید. | ۴ |
5 The waters surrounded me, even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head.
| آبها مرا تا به‌جان احاطه نمود و لجه دورمرا گرفت و علف دریا بسر من پیچیده شد. | ۵ |
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever; yet you have brought my life up from the pit, LORD my God.
| به بنیان کوهها فرود رفتم و زمین به بندهای خود تا به ابد مرا در‌گرفت. اما تو‌ای یهوه خدایم حیات مرااز حفره برآوردی. | ۶ |
7 “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.
| چون جان من در اندرونم بی‌تاب شد، خداوند را بیاد آوردم و دعای من نزدتو به هیکل قدست رسید. | ۷ |
8 Those who regard vain idols forsake their own mercy.
| آنانی که اباطیل دروغ را منظور می‌دارند، احسان های خویش را ترک می‌نمایند. | ۸ |
9 But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to the LORD.”
| اما من به آواز تشکر برای تو قربانی خواهم گذرانید، و به آنچه نذر کردم وفا خواهم نمود. نجات از آن خداوند است.» | ۹ |
10 Then the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.
| پس خداوند ماهی را امر فرمود و یونس را بر خشکی قی کرد. | ۱۰ |
