< John 16 >
1 “I have said these things to you so that you would not be caused to stumble.
MEPUKAT I padaki ong komail er pwe komail der makarada.
2 They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God.
Irail pan kase komail la sang nan sinakoke, a eu ansau kokodo, meamen kame komail la, pan kiki ong, me a papa Kot.
3 They will do these things because they have not known the Father nor me.
A mepukat re pan wiai ong komail, pweki ar sasa Sam o ngai.
4 But I have told you these things so that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you about them. I did not tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
A mepukat I padaki ong komail er, pwe ansau lao leler, komail en tamanda, me I indai ong komail er. A mepukat I sota indai ong komail er ni tapi o, pwe I ieiang komail.
5 But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
A met I kola ren me kadar ia do, a sota amen komail kin idok re i: Ia wasa kom pan kola ia?
6 But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.
A pweki ai padaki ong komail mepukat, mongiong omail me dir en insensued.
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
Ari so, I kasoi ong komail melel, me mau ong komail I en kola. Pwe ma I so kola saunkamait sota pan pwara dong komail. A ma I kola, I pan kadara dong komail i.
8 When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment;
A i lao kodo, a pan kasaui ong sappa dip, o pung, o kadeik.
9 about sin, because they do not believe in me;
Duen dip, pweki irail sota poson ia.
10 about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you will not see me any more;
Duen pung, pweki I kola ren Sam, o komail solar pan kilang ia.
11 about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.
A duen kadeik o, pweki kaun en sappa wet me pakadeikadar.
12 “I still have many things to tell you, but you cannot bear them now.
I men padaki ong komail me toto, a met komail sota kak ong.
13 However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.
A Ngen en melel lao pwarado, a pan padaki ong komail melel akan karos. Pwe a sota pan padaki wei sang nan pein i, a meakot a pan rong, i me a pan indada. O a pan kasale ong komail meakan me pan wiaui.
14 He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine and will declare it to you.
A pan kalingana ia da, pwe a pan ale me ai o kasale ong komail.
15 All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.
Sapwilim en Sam meakaros, iei me pil udan ai. I me I indakier, me a pan ale me ai o kasale ong komail.
16 “A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”
Murin ansau kis komail solar pan kilang ia; o pil murin ansau kis, a komail pan kilang ia, pwe I kola ren Sam.
17 Some of his disciples therefore said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;’ and, ‘Because I go to the Father’?”
Sapwilim a tounpadak kai ap indada nan pung ar: Dakot met, me a kotin masani ong kitail: Murin ansau kis komail solar pan kilang ia, o pil murin ansau kis, a komail pan kilang ia, pwe I kokola ren Sam?
18 They said therefore, “What is this that he says, ‘A little while’? We do not know what he is saying.”
Irail ap indada: Dakot murin ansau kis, me a kotin masanieki? Kitail sota weweki, me a kotin masani.
19 Therefore Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them, “Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’?
A Iesus kotin angi, me re men idok re a, ap kotin masani ong irail: Komail kakaaki nan pung omail, me I indada: Murin ansau kis komail solar pan kilang ia, o pil murin ansau kis, a komail pan kilang ia.
20 Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
Melel, melel I indai ong komail, komail pan sangesang o mamaiei, a sappa pan pereperen; komail pan mamauk, a omail mauk pan wiki ong popol.
21 A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she does not remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.
Li o ni a pan naitik kin insensued, aki a ansau leler; a a lao naitikidier seri o, a solar kin tamanda a insensued, aki a peren kida, me aramas amen ipwidi ong sappa.
22 Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
Pil dueta komail kin insensued ansau wet. A I pil pan kilang komail o mongiong omail pan pereperen. A sota me pan atia sang komail omail peren.
23 “In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
A lao ni ran o komail sota pan idok re i meakot. Melel, melel I indai ong komail, ma komail pan poeki meakot ren Sam ni ad ai, a pan kotiki ong komail.
24 Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
Sang mas kokodo komail sota poeki meakot ni ad ai. Poeki, a komail pan ale; pwe omail peren en unsokela.
25 “I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.
Mepukat I padaki ong komail er ni karaseras akan. A eu ansau kokodo, me I solar pan padapadak ni karaseras, pwe I pan sansal padaki ong komail duen Sam.
26 In that day you will ask in my name; and I do not say to you that I will pray to the Father for you,
Lao ran o komail pan poeki ni ad ai. A I sota indai ong komail, me I pan kapakapa kin komail ren Sam.
27 for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.
Pwe Sam pein pok ong komail, pweki komail pok ong ia er o kamelele, me I kodo sang ren Kot.
28 I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”
I kodo sang ren Sam o kodido sappa; I pil kokola sang nin sappa, kokola ren Sam.
29 His disciples said to him, “Behold, now you are speaking plainly, and using no figures of speech.
Sapwilim a tounpadak kan potoan ong i: Masani, ansau wet re kin kotin sansal padaki ong kit o solar ni karaseras.
30 Now we know that you know all things, and do not need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God.”
Kit ap asaer, me re kotin mangier meakaros, o re sota mau ong, amen en idok meakot re omui. I me se posonki, me re kotido sang ren Kot.
31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?
Iesus kotin sapeng irail: Komail posonlar met?
32 Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
Kilang, ansau kokodo, ari a leler, me komail pan kamueit pasang, amen amen nan udan deu a o kase ia la. I ap pan kelep; ari so, I sota kin kelep, pwe Sam o ieiang ia.
33 I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
Mepukat I padaki ong komail, pwe komail en popole kin ia. Nan sappa komail kin kalokolok, ari so, komail popol, pwe I kaloedier sappa.
