< Job 36 >
1 Elihu also continued, and said,
Elihu mah doeh,
2 “Bear with me a little, and I will show you; for I still have something to say on God’s behalf.
na zing kue raeh, kang patuek han, Sithaw zuengah lokthuih han ka tawnh.
3 I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
Kangthla parai ahmuen hoiah palunghahaih to ka hak, kai sahkung loe toeng, tiah kam tuengsak han.
4 For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
Tangtang ni amsawnlok ka thui mak ai; panoekhaih hoi akoep kami loe na taengah oh.
5 “Behold, God is mighty, and does not despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.
Khenah, Sithaw loe thacak, toe mi kawbaktih doeh khet patoekhaih tawn ai; anih loe thacakhaih, palunghahaih hoiah akoep.
6 He does not preserve the life of the wicked, but gives justice to the afflicted.
Kahoih ai kami ih hinghaih to anih mah patawn pae ai, toe amtang kaminawk loe toenghaih hoiah lok a caek.
7 He does not withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted.
Anih loe katoeng kami to angqoi taak ai, siangpahrangnawk salakah anghnutsak, ue, nihcae to caksak poe moe, kasang ah atoengh tahang.
8 If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,
Nihcae to qui hoiah pathlet o moe, pacaekthlaekhaih qui mah taoeng caeng nahaeloe,
9 then he shows them their work, and their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.
Anih mah nihcae sethaih hoi sakpazae ih hmuennawk to thuih pae, nihcae amoekhaih to amtuengsak.
10 He also opens their ears to instruction, and commands that they return from iniquity.
Thuitaekhaih lok tahngai koehhaih palungthin to paongh pae moe, kasae sakhaih caeh taak hanah a thuih pae.
11 If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
Nihcae mah lok to tahngai o moe, a tok to sah o nahaeloe, hing thung khosakhoih o ueloe, kamongah om o tih.
12 But if they do not listen, they will perish by the sword; they will die without knowledge.
Toe nihcae mah anih ih lok to tahngai o ai nahaeloe, sumsen hoi anghmaa o tih, panoekhaih om ai ah dueh o tih.
13 “But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They do not cry for help when he binds them.
Sithaw panoek ai angsahcop kaminawk loe palung thungah palungphui o; Anih mah qui hoi pathlet naah doeh tahmenhaih hni o ai.
14 They die in youth. Their life perishes among the unclean.
Nihcae loe thendoeng nathuem ah duek o moe, kaciim ai kaminawk hoi nawnto a duek o.
15 He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression.
Anih mah patangkhang amtang kaminawk to loisak, raihaih a tongh o naah thaih kophaih to a paek.
16 Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a wide place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.
Anih mah loklam tamcaek ahmuen hoiah lam tamcaek kaom ai ahmuen kakawk ah na suem ueloe, na caboi nuiah caaknaek kahoih koimongah na patoemh pae tih.
17 “But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you.
Toe nang loe zaehaih pongah lokcaekhaih na tongh boeh; na sak ih zaehaih atho lokcaekhaih to na tong tih.
18 Do not let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.
Palungphui pongah, danpaekhaih oh han ai ah acoe ah; akranghaih atho paek mang cadoeh na loih thai mak ai.
19 Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength?
Nang raenghaih hmuenmae mah na bomh thai tih maw? Sui hoi na thacakhaih ah kaom pop parai hmuenmaenawk to na paek cadoeh, na bomh thai mak ai.
20 Do not desire the night, when people are cut off in their place.
Khoving to zing hmah; kaminawk loe aqum ah ni angmacae ohhaih ahmuen hoiah anghmat o.
21 Take heed, do not regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction.
Zaehaih thungah amlaem let han ai, acoe ah; patangkhanghaih pongah to hmuen to ni na koeh kue boeh.
22 Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?
Khenah, Sithaw loe a thacakhaih hoiah pakoeh ah oh boeh; anih baktih patukkung mi maw kaom?
23 Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, ‘You have committed unrighteousness’?
Mi mah maw a caehhaih loklam anih han patuek vaih? To ai boeh loe mi mah maw sakpazaehaih na tawnh, tiah naa vaih?
24 “Remember that you magnify his work, about which men have sung.
Kaminawk loe a sak o ih hmuen to laasakhaih hoiah pakoeh o, nang doeh pakoeh toeng han pahnet hmah.
25 All men have looked on it. Man sees it afar off.
Kami boih mah anih toksakhaih to hnuk o; kami mah kangthla hoiah khen thai tih.
26 Behold, God is great, and we do not know him. The number of his years is unsearchable.
Khenah, Sithaw loe Len parai; anih to aicae mah panoek thai ai; anih hinghaih saningnawk doeh kroek thai ai.
27 For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor,
Anih loe kaca tui to van ah azuh tahang moe, tamai to khotui ah angcoengsak;
28 which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.
tamai thung hoiah tui to krak moe, kami nuiah pop parai kho to angzohsak.
29 Indeed, can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds and the thunderings of his pavilion?
Anih mah kawbangmaw tamai to anghaehsak moe, kawbangmaw ohhaih ahmuen hoiah khopazihsak, tiah panoek kami oh maw?
30 Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.
Khenah, anih loe a ohhaih ranuiah aanghaih to suek moe, kathuk koek tuipui talae doeh a kraeng khoep.
31 For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.
To tiah kaminawk to lokcaek moe, kamthlai pokah caaknaek to a paek.
32 He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.
Tamai hoiah aanghaih to kraeng moe, patoep ih ahmuen to kah hanah lok a paek.
33 Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also, concerning the storm that comes up.
Anih ih khopazih tuen mah takhi sae song tih boeh, tiah panoeksak, maitaw mah doeh takhi sae song tih, tiah panoek.
