< Job 11 >
1 Then Zophar, the Naamathite, answered,
Mgbe ahụ, Zofa onye Neama zara sị:
2 “Should not the multitude of words be answered? Should a man full of talk be justified?
“Ọ dịghị nzaghachi dịịrị ọtụtụ okwu niile ndị a? A ga-agụ onye ekwurekwu a dịka onye ikpe na-amaghị?
3 Should your boastings make men hold their peace? When you mock, will no man make you ashamed?
Okwu efu gị ndị a ha ga-eme ka mmadụ gba nkịtị? Ọ bụ na ọ dịghị onye ga-abara gị mba mgbe ị na-akwa emo?
4 For you say, ‘My doctrine is pure. I am clean in your eyes.’
Ị na-asị Chineke, ‘Okwukwe m enweghị ntụpọ, adịkwa m ọcha nʼanya gị.’
5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against you,
Ọ ga-adị m nnọọ mma ma a si na Chineke ga-ekwu okwu, na ọ ga-asaghe egbugbere ọnụ ya imegide gị.
6 that he would show you the secrets of wisdom! For true wisdom has two sides. Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.
Kpugheere gị ihe nzuzo niile nke amamihe, nʼihi na ezi amamihe nwere akụkụ abụọ. Mara nke a: Chineke echefuola ụfọdụ mmehie gị.
7 “Can you fathom the mystery of God? Or can you probe the limits of the Almighty?
“I nwere ike ịchọpụta ihe omimi Chineke? I nwere ike ịnwapụta nsọtụ nke Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile?
8 They are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol (Sheol ). What can you know?
Ha dị elu karịa eluigwe, gịnị ka ị pụrụ ime? Ha dị ogbu karịa ala ili, gịnị ka ị pụrụ ịma? (Sheol )
9 Its measure is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
Ọtụtụ ha dị ogologo karịa ụwa, dị obosara karịa oke osimiri.
10 If he passes by, or confines, or convenes a court, then who can oppose him?
“Ọ bụrụ na ọ bịa tụba gị nʼime ụlọ mkpọrọ, kpọkọta ndị ikpe, onye ga-egbochi ya?
11 For he knows false men. He sees iniquity also, even though he does not consider it.
Nʼezie, ya onwe ya na-amata ndị nduhie, mgbe ọ hụrụ ajọ ihe, ọ bụ na ọ dịghị amatakwa ya?
12 An empty-headed man becomes wise when a man is born as a wild donkey’s colt.
Onye nzuzu ga-aghọ onye maara ihe naanị mgbe nwa ịnyịnya ibu ọhịa mụrụ ghọrọ mmadụ.
13 “If you set your heart aright, stretch out your hands toward him.
“Ma ọ bụrụ na i were obi gị nye ya, setịpụ aka gị abụọ nye ya,
14 If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away. Do not let unrighteousness dwell in your tents.
ọ bụrụ na i wezuga mmehie nke dị gị nʼaka, ghara ikwe ka ihe ọjọọ dịrị nʼụlọ ikwu gị
15 Surely then you will lift up your face without spot. Yes, you will be steadfast, and will not fear,
mgbe ahụ, ihere agaghị eme gị iwelite ihu gị, ị ga-eguzokwa chịm na-atụghị egwu.
16 for you will forget your misery. You will remember it like waters that have passed away.
Nʼezie ị ga-echefukwa nsogbu gị, na-echeta ya dịka mmiri gabigara agabiga.
17 Life will be clearer than the noonday. Though there is darkness, it will be as the morning.
Ndụ gị ga-amụke karịa etiti ehihie, ọchịchịrị ya ga-adịkwa ka ụtụtụ.
18 You will be secure, because there is hope. Yes, you will search, and will take your rest in safety.
Ị ga-anọkwa nʼudo nʼihi na olileanya dị; ị ga-elegharịkwa anya gburugburu gị zuo ike na-atụghị ụjọ.
19 Also you will lie down, and no one will make you afraid. Yes, many will court your favor.
Ị ga-edina ala na-atụghị egwu onye ọbụla, ọtụtụ ndị mmadụ ga-achọ ịnata amara nʼihu gị.
20 But the eyes of the wicked will fail. They will have no way to flee. Their hope will be the giving up of the spirit.”
Ma anya ndị na-emebi iwu ga-ada, ha agaghị achọta ụzọ mgbapụ; olileanya ha ga-abụ nkubi ume nke ọnwụ.”
