Jeremiah 25
1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (this was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),
Palabra que fue a Jeremías de todo el pueblo de Judá, en el año cuarto de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, el cual es el año primero de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.
2 which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem:
Lo que habló Jeremías profeta a todo el pueblo de Judá, y a todos los moradores de Jerusalem, diciendo:
3 From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, the LORD’s word has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.
Desde el año trece de Josías, hijo de Amón, rey de Judá, hasta este día, que son veinte y tres años, fue a mi palabra de Jehová, la cual hablé a vosotros, madrugando y hablando, y no oísteis.
4 The LORD has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened or inclined your ear to hear),
Y envió Jehová a vosotros todos sus siervos profetas, madrugando y enviando, y no oísteis, ni abajasteis vuestro oído para oír;
5 saying, “Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forever more.
Diciendo: Volvéos ahora de vuestro mal camino, y de la maldad de vuestras obras, y morád sobre la tierra que os dio Jehová, a vosotros y a vuestros padres para siempre;
6 Do not go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and do not provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; then I will do you no harm.”
Y no caminéis en pos de dioses ajenos, sirviéndoles y encorvándoos a ellos; ni me provoquéis a ira con la obra de vuestras manos, y no os haré mal.
7 “Yet you have not listened to me,” says the LORD, “that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.”
Y no me oísteis, dijo Jehová, para provocarme a ira con la obra de vuestras manos, para mal vuestro.
8 Therefore the LORD of Armies says: “Because you have not heard my words,
Por tanto así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Porque no oísteis mis palabras.
9 behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,” says the LORD, “and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around. I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.
He aquí que yo enviaré, y tomaré todos los linajes del aquilón, dice Jehová, y a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, mi siervo, y traerlos he contra esta tierra, y contra sus moradores, y contra todas estas naciones al derredor; y matarlos he, y ponerlos he por escarnio, y por silbo, y en soledades perpetuas.
10 Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
Y haré perder de entre ellos voz de gozo, y voz de alegría, voz de desposado, y voz de desposada, voz de muelas, y luz de antorcha.
11 This whole land will be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
Y toda esta tierra será puesta en soledad, en espanto; y servirán estas naciones al rey de Babilonia setenta años:
12 “It will happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,” says the LORD, “for their iniquity. I will make the land of the Chaldeans desolate forever.
Y será que cuando fueren cumplidos los setenta años, visitaré sobre el rey de Babilonia, y sobre aquella nación su maldad, dijo Jehová, y sobre la tierra de los Caldeos; y yo la pondré en desiertos para siempre.
13 I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
Y traeré sobre aquella tierra todas mis palabras que he hablado contra ella, con todo lo que está escrito en este libro, profetizado por Jeremías, contra todas las naciones.
14 For many nations and great kings will make bondservants of them, even of them. I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.”
Porque se servirán también de ellos muchas naciones, y reyes grandes; y yo les pagaré conforme a su obra, y conforme a la obra de sus manos.
15 For the LORD, the God of Israel, says to me: “Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.
Porque así me dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Toma de mi mano el vaso del vino de este furor, y da de beber de él a todas las naciones a las cuales yo te envío.
16 They will drink, and reel back and forth, and be insane, because of the sword that I will send among them.”
Y beberán, y temblarán, y enloquecerán delante de la espada que yo envío entre ellos.
17 Then I took the cup at the LORD’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom the LORD had sent me:
Y tomé el vaso de la mano de Jehová, y di de beber a todas las naciones a las cuales me envió Jehová:
18 Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, with its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is today;
A Jerusalem, y a las ciudades de Judá, y a sus reyes, y sus príncipes, para que yo las pusiese en soledad, en escarnio, y en silbo y en maldición, como este día:
19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, with his servants, his princes, and all his people;
A Faraón, rey de Egipto, y a sus siervos, y a sus príncipes, y a todo su pueblo:
20 and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the Philistines, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
Y a toda la mistura; y a todos los reyes de tierra de Hus; y a todos los reyes de tierra de Palestina, y a Ascalón, y Gaza, y Accarón, y a la resta de Azoto:
21 Edom, Moab, and the children of Ammon;
A Edom, y Moab, y a los hijos de Ammón:
22 and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;
Y a todos los reyes de Tiro, y a todos los reyes de Sidón, y a los reyes de las islas que están de ese cabo de la mar:
23 Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;
Y a Dedán, y Tema, y Buz, y a todos los que están al cabo del mundo:
24 and all the kings of Arabia, all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;
Y a todos los reyes de Arabia, y a todos los reyes de la Arabia que habita en el desierto:
25 and all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
Y a todos los reyes de Zambrí, y a todos los reyes de Elam, y a todos los reyes de Media:
26 and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth. The king of Sheshach will drink after them.
Y a todos los reyes del aquilón, los de cerca y los de lejos, los unos de los otros; y a todos los reinos de la tierra que están sobre la haz de la tierra, y el rey de Sesac beberá después de ellos.
27 “You shall tell them, ‘The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.”’
Decirles has pues: Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Bebéd, y emborracháos, y vomitád, y caéd, y no os levantéis delante de la espada que yo envío entre vosotros.
28 It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, ‘The LORD of Armies says: “You shall surely drink.
Y será que si no quisieren tomar el vaso de tu mano para beber, decirles has: Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Bebiendo bebéd.
29 For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You will not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says the LORD of Armies.”’
Porque he aquí que a la ciudad sobre la cual es llamado mi nombre yo comienzo a hacer mal, ¿y vosotros solos seréis absueltos? No seréis absueltos; porque espada traigo sobre todo los moradores de la tierra, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.
30 “Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and tell them, “‘The LORD will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation. He will mightily roar against his fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
Tú pues profetizarás a ellos todas estas palabras, y decirles has: Jehová bramará como león de lo alto, y de la morada de su santidad dará su voz: bramando bramará sobre su morada, canción de lagareros cantará a todos los moradores de la tierra.
31 A noise will come even to the end of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with the nations. He will enter into judgment with all flesh. As for the wicked, he will give them to the sword,”’ says the LORD.”
Llegó el estruendo hasta el cabo de la tierra; porque juicio de Jehová con las naciones: él es el Juez de toda carne: los impíos entregará a la espada, dijo Jehová.
32 The LORD of Armies says, “Behold, evil will go out from nation to nation, and a great storm will be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.”
Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí que el mal sale de nación en nación, y grande tempestad se levantará de los fines de la tierra.
33 The slain of the LORD will be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They will not be lamented. They will not be gathered or buried. They will be dung on the surface of the ground.
Y serán muertos de Jehová en aquel día desde el un cabo de la tierra hasta el otro cabo: no se endecharán, ni se cogerán, ni se enterrarán: como estiércol serán sobre la haz de la tierra.
34 Wail, you shepherds, and cry. Wallow in dust, you leader of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions have fully come, and you will fall like fine pottery.
Aullád, pastores, y clamád, y revolcaos en el polvo, los mayorales del hato; porque vuestros días son cumplidos para ser degollados, y esparcidos vosotros; y caeréis como vaso de codicia.
35 The shepherds will have no way to flee. The leader of the flock will have no escape.
Y la huida se perderá de los pastores; y el escapamiento, de los mayorales del hato.
36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the leader of the flock, for the LORD destroys their pasture.
Voz de la grita de los pastores, y aullido de los mayorales del hato se oirá; porque Jehová asoló sus majadas.
37 The peaceful folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
Y las majadas pacíficas serán taladas, por la ira del furor de Jehová.
38 He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.
Desamparó como leoncillo su morada; porque la tierra de ellos fue asolada por la ira del opresor, y por el enojo de su furor.
