< James 4 >
1 Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Do not they come from your pleasures that war in your members?
Yin pia ya koana leni ya janjanma kuli yi siiga yeni, likuli ŋua be? laa ŋua yi bonbuaka-biadila yaala n tiendi bu toabu yi gbannandi nni ka yoo?
2 You lust, and do not have. You murder and covet, and cannot obtain. You fight and make war. You do not have, because you do not ask.
Yi pia a koana leni mi janjanma yi siiga. Yii baadi kelima yii miadi U Tienu.
3 You ask, and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.
4 You adulterers and adulteresses, do not you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Yinba mi conconma danba yeni, yii bani ke ŋanduna ya buama tie yibalindi leni U Tienu yo? Lanwani yua n bua ki ya danli leni ŋanduna kuli tua U Tienu yibali.
5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously”?
Naani yi tama ke i Diani maadi fanma fanma bi? U Tienu bua wan kuani ya fuoma ti niinni ŋali ki pia li nunponli mipo.
6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
7 Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Lanwani yin ya miindi mani yi yula U Tienu kani.
8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Yin nagini mani U Tienu kani, o mo baa nagini yi kani. Yinba, ti tuonbiadi danba, yin nidi mani yi nii. Hanbi mani yi pala yinba yama lie danba.
9 Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.
Yin miini mani yi yula o Diedo kani o baa jigini yi.
11 Do not speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother and judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.
Ama a ya jia ti buudi leni li balimaama, ŋaa go tie li balimaama kubido ka, ama mi bujialo.
12 Only one is the lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge another?
Yendo bebe n ye ki tie li balimaama makadikaama daano leni li bujialo, wani yua n baa fidi ki faabi ki go bolini. A mo tie ŋme fini yua n jia leni a nisaalilielo ti buudi?
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.”
Moala yin cengi mani n maama, yinba yaaba n tua: “Dinla, yaaka saala, ti baa fii ki gedi u naa dogu, yaaka une, ki ban bindi likani, ki ya tiendi u kpendu ki ñu ti ñuadi.”
14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Yinba yaaba n ki bani yaala n baa cua saala. Yi miana tie be?
15 For you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.”
Li pundi yin ya tua: “O Diedo ya bua ti baa ye ki fo ki tiendi line bi line.”
16 But now you glory in your boasting. All such boasting is evil.
Ama moala, yi kpiagidi yi yula yi yula yi japaayantiana nni. Yi ya kpiagidi yi yula yeni li tie yaala n bia.
17 To him therefore who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
Lanwani, yua n bani ki tieni yaala n ŋani ki naa tieni la, o tieni tuonbiadi.
