Isaiah 34
1 Come near, you nations, to hear! Listen, you peoples. Let the earth and all it contains hear, the world, and everything that comes from it.
Aproximem-se, nações, para ouvir! Ouçam, vocês, povos. Deixe a terra e tudo o que ela contém ouvir, o mundo, e tudo o que dele provém.
2 For the LORD is enraged against all the nations, and angry with all their armies. He has utterly destroyed them. He has given them over for slaughter.
Pois Yahweh está enfurecido contra todas as nações, e zangados com todos os seus exércitos. Ele os destruiu completamente. Ele os entregou para o abate.
3 Their slain will also be cast out, and the stench of their dead bodies will come up. The mountains will melt in their blood.
Seus mortos também serão expulsos, e o fedor de seus corpos mortos surgirá. As montanhas derreterão em seu sangue.
4 All of the army of the sky will be dissolved. The sky will be rolled up like a scroll, and all its armies will fade away, as a leaf fades from off a vine or a fig tree.
Todo o exército do céu será dissolvido. O céu será enrolado como um pergaminho, e todos os seus exércitos se desvanecerão, quando uma folha se desvanece de uma videira ou de uma figueira.
5 For my sword has drunk its fill in the sky. Behold, it will come down on Edom, and on the people of my curse, for judgment.
Pois a minha espada bebeu seu enchimento no céu. Eis que cairá sobre a Edom, e sobre o povo da minha maldição, para julgamento.
6 The LORD’s sword is filled with blood. It is covered with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
A espada de Yahweh está cheia de sangue. Está coberto de gordura, com o sangue de cordeiros e caprinos, com a gordura dos rins de carneiros; pois Yahweh tem um sacrifício em Bozrah, e um grande massacre na terra de Edom.
7 The wild oxen will come down with them, and the young bulls with the mighty bulls; and their land will be drunken with blood, and their dust made greasy with fat.
Os bois selvagens descerão com eles, e os jovens touros com os poderosos touros; e suas terras ficarão bêbadas de sangue, e seu pó gorduroso e gorduroso.
8 For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
Pois Yahweh tem um dia de vingança, um ano de recompensa pela causa de Zion.
9 Its streams will be turned into pitch, its dust into sulfur, and its land will become burning pitch.
Suas correntes serão transformadas em passo, seu pó em enxofre, e sua terra se tornará um campo em chamas.
10 It will not be quenched night or day. Its smoke will go up forever. From generation to generation, it will lie waste. No one will pass through it forever and ever.
Não será saciada noite ou dia. Sua fumaça subirá para sempre. De geração em geração, isso será um desperdício. Ninguém passará por ela para sempre e sempre.
11 But the pelican and the porcupine will possess it. The owl and the raven will dwell in it. He will stretch the line of confusion over it, and the plumb line of emptiness.
Mas o pelicano e o porco-espinho o possuirão. A coruja e o corvo vão habitar nela. Ele vai esticar a linha de confusão sobre ela, e a linha de prumo do vazio.
12 They shall call its nobles to the kingdom, but none shall be there; and all its princes shall be nothing.
Eles chamarão seus nobres para o reino, mas nenhum deles estará lá; e todos os seus príncipes não serão nada.
13 Thorns will come up in its palaces, nettles and thistles in its fortresses; and it will be a habitation of jackals, a court for ostriches.
Os espinhos surgirão em seus palácios, urtigas e cardos em suas fortalezas; e será uma habitação de chacais, um tribunal para avestruzes.
14 The wild animals of the desert will meet with the wolves, and the wild goat will cry to his fellow. Yes, the night creature shall settle there, and shall find herself a place of rest.
Os animais selvagens do deserto se encontrarão com os lobos, e o bode selvagem chorará ao seu companheiro. Sim, a criatura noturna deve se estabelecer ali, e deve encontrar um lugar de descanso.
15 The arrow snake will make her nest there, and lay, hatch, and gather under her shade. Yes, the kites will be gathered there, every one with her mate.
A serpente seta fará seu ninho lá, e deitar, chocar e reunir sob sua sombra. Sim, as pipas serão reunidas lá, cada uma com sua companheira.
16 Search in the book of the LORD, and read: not one of these will be missing. None will lack her mate. For my mouth has commanded, and his Spirit has gathered them.
Pesquisar no livro de Yahweh, e ler: não faltará nenhuma destas. A nenhum faltará sua companheira. Pois minha boca comandou, e seu Espírito os reuniu.
17 He has cast the lot for them, and his hand has divided it to them with a measuring line. They shall possess it forever. From generation to generation they will dwell in it.
Ele lançou o lote para eles, e sua mão a dividiu para eles com uma linha de medição. Eles deverão possuí-lo para sempre. De geração em geração, eles vão morar nela.
