< Isaiah 2 >
1 This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
Esiae nye gbedeasi bubu si Yesaya, Amoz ƒe vi la, xɔ tso Yehowa gbɔ, tso Yuda kple Yerusalem ŋuti.
2 It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.
Le ŋkeke mamlɛawo me la, woaɖo Yehowa ƒe gbedoxɔ la gɔme anyi ɖe eƒe to la dzi, be wòanye to si aƒo towo katã ta, woakɔe ɖe dzi wòagbɔ togbɛwo katã ta, eye xexemedukɔwo katã aƒo zi ɖe eŋu.
3 Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law shall go out of Zion, and the LORD’s word from Jerusalem.
Ame geɖewo ava agblɔ be, “Miva míayi Yehowa ƒe to la dzi, míage ɖe Yakob ƒe Mawu la ƒe gbedoxɔ la me; afia eƒe mɔwo mí be míazɔ le eƒe mɔwo dzi.” Nufiame atso Zion ava, eye Yehowa ƒe nya atso Yerusalem ava.
4 He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples. They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Adrɔ̃ ʋɔnu le dukɔwo dome, eye wòadzra ame geɖewo dome ɖo. Woatsɔ woƒe aʋawɔyiwo atu kodzoewoe, eye woatsɔ woƒe akplɔwo atu hɛ̃ gobɛwoe. Dukɔ magatsɔ yi ɖe dukɔ ŋu alo axɔ hehe na aʋawɔwɔ o.
5 House of Jacob, come, and let’s walk in the light of the LORD.
O! Yakob ƒe aƒe, na miazɔ le Yehowa ƒe kekeli me.
6 For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.
Ègbe nu le wò amewo, Yakob ƒe aƒe gbɔ, elabena woyɔ fũu kple ɣedzeƒetɔwo ƒe subɔsubɔwo. Wokaa afã abe Filistitɔwo ene, eye wokpea asi ɖe trɔ̃subɔlawo ŋu le woƒe subɔsubɔwo me.
7 Their land is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.
Woƒe anyigba dzi yɔ fũu kple klosalo kple sika, eye seɖoƒe meli na woƒe kesinɔnuwo o. Sɔwo bɔ ɖe woƒe anyigba dzi, eye seɖoƒe meli na woƒe tasiaɖamwo o.
8 Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.
Woƒe anyigba dzi yɔ fũu kple legbawo, wodea ta agu na woawo ŋutɔ ƒe asinudɔwɔwɔwo, eye wodzea klo na nu siwo woƒe asibidɛwo wɔ,
9 Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled; therefore do not forgive them.
eya ta woaɖiɖi ame ɖe anyi eye woabɔbɔ amegbetɔƒomea ɖe anyi, mègatsɔe ke wo o.
10 Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty.
Miyi ɖe ŋɔdzigadowo me, mibe ɖe anyigba ƒe tume tso Yehowa ƒe ŋɔdzi kple eƒe gãnyenye ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe gbɔ!
11 The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the arrogance of men will be bowed down, and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.
Woaɖiɖi ŋkugãtolawo katã ɖe anyi, eye woabɔbɔ dadalawo katã ɖe anyi. Gbe ma gbe la, Yehowa ɖeka ko woado ɖe dzi.
12 For there will be a day of the LORD of Armies for all that is proud and arrogant, and for all that is lifted up, and it shall be brought low—
Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la, ɖo ŋkeke ɖi na dadalawo kple ɖokuiŋudzelawo kple nu siwo katã wodo ɖe dzi la (elabena woabɔbɔ wo ɖe anyi).
13 for all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,
Woabɔbɔ Lebanon ƒe sedati kɔkɔ tsralawo kple Basan ƒe logotiwo ɖe anyi.
14 for all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up,
Woabɔbɔ to kɔkɔwo kple tɔgbɛ kɔkɔwo katã ɖe anyi;
15 for every lofty tower, for every fortified wall,
woabɔbɔ gbetakpɔxɔ kɔkɔwo kple gli sesẽwo ɖe anyi,
16 for all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.
eye woabɔbɔ Tarsis ƒe asitsameliwo kple tɔdziʋu gãwo katã ɖe anyi.
17 The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the arrogance of men shall be brought low; and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
Woabɔbɔ amewo ƒe ɖokuidodoɖedzi kple dada ɖe anyi. Yehowa ɖeka ko woado ɖe dzi gbe ma gbe,
18 The idols shall utterly pass away.
eye woaɖe legbawo katã ɖa keŋkeŋ.
19 Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.
Ne Yehowa tso be yeaʋuʋu anyigba la, amewo asi age ɖe agadowo me le kpewo tome kple dowo me le anyigba ƒe tume, le eƒe ŋɔdzi kple eƒe gãnyenye ƒe atsyɔ̃ ta.
20 In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which have been made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats,
Le ŋkeke ma dzi la, amewo atsɔ woƒe klosalolegba kple sikalegba siwo wosubɔna la aƒu gbe na alegeliwo kple agutɔwo.
21 to go into the caverns of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.
Woasi ayi ɖe agadowo kple kpewo tome kpakple agakpe kɔkɔwo tame be woasi le Yehowa ƒe ŋɔdzi kple eƒe ŋutikɔkɔe ƒe atsyɔ̃nu, ne etso be yeaʋuʋu anyigba.
22 Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?
Amegbetɔ nye nu gblɔe: ele gblɔe abe eƒe gbɔgbɔ si le ŋɔtime nɛ ene! Nu ka ta nàtsɔ wò mɔkpɔkpɔ ada ɖe edzi?
