< Ezekiel 7 >
1 Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
Naʻe hoko mai foki ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova kiate au, ʻo pehē,
2 “You, son of man, the Lord GOD says to the land of Israel, ‘An end! The end has come on the four corners of the land.
“Ko koe foki ko e foha ʻoe tangata, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ki he fonua ʻo ʻIsileli; Ko e ngataʻanga, ʻio, ko e ngataʻanga kuo hoko mai ki he feituʻu ʻe fā ʻoe fonua.
3 Now the end is on you, and I will send my anger on you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.
Ko eni, kuo hoko ʻae ngataʻanga kiate koe, pea te u tuku atu ʻa hoku houhau kiate kimoutolu, pea te u fakamaauʻi koe ʻo hangē ko hoʻo ngaahi faianga, pea te u totongi kiate koe ʻa hoʻo ngaahi fakalielia.
4 My eye will not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will bring your ways on you, and your abominations will be among you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’
Pea ʻe ʻikai mamae ʻa hoku fofonga, pe te u manavaʻofa: ka te u totongi hoʻo ngaahi hala kiate koe, pea ʻe ʻi loto ʻiate koe hoʻo ngaahi fakalielia: pea te mou ʻilo ko au ko Sihova.
5 “The Lord GOD says: ‘A disaster! A unique disaster! Behold, it comes.
ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, Vakai kuo hoko ʻae kovi ki he kovi.
6 An end has come. The end has come! It awakes against you. Behold, it comes.
Kuo hoko ha ngataʻanga, ʻio, kuo hoko ʻae ngataʻanga; ʻoku ne lamasi ʻaki koe, pea vakai kuo hoko ia.
7 Your doom has come to you, inhabitant of the land! The time has come! The day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, on the mountains.
Kuo hoko ʻae pongipongi kiate koe, ʻa koe ʻoku nofo ʻi he fonua: kuo hoko hono kuonga, kuo ofi ʻae ʻaho ʻoe mamahi, pea ʻoku ʻikai ko e lea talia mai pe ia mei he ngaahi moʻunga.
8 Now I will shortly pour out my wrath on you, and accomplish my anger against you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.
9 My eye will not spare, neither will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways. Your abominations will be among you. Then you will know that I, the LORD, strike.
10 “‘Behold, the day! Behold, it comes! Your doom has gone out. The rod has blossomed. Pride has budded.
Vakai ki he ʻaho, vakai kuo hoko ia: kuo hokosia ʻae pongipongi; kuo moto ʻae vaʻa, kuo litolito ʻae fielahi.
11 Violence has risen up into a rod of wickedness. None of them will remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth. There will be nothing of value among them.
Kuo tupu ʻae fakamālohi ko e vaʻa ʻoe fai kovi: ʻe ʻikai ha toe ʻiate kinautolu pe ko ʻenau tokolahi, pe ha meʻa ʻe taha ʻanautolu: pea ʻe ʻikai tēngihia ʻakinautolu.
12 The time has come! The day draws near. Do not let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all its multitude.
Kuo hoko hono kuonga, kuo ofi ʻae ʻaho: ʻoua naʻa fiefia ʻaia ʻoku fakatau mai, pe mamahi ʻaia ʻoku fakatau atu: he kuo nofo ʻae houhau ki hono kakai kotoa pē.
13 For the seller will not return to that which is sold, although they are still alive; for the vision concerns the whole multitude of it. None will return. None will strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
Neongo ʻae moʻui ʻaʻana ʻoku fakatau ʻe ʻikai foki mai ia ki he meʻa kuo fakatau: he ko e kikite ʻoku kau ki hono kakai kotoa pē ʻe ʻikai foki mai; pea ʻe ʻikai toe taulanga ha taha ʻi he kovi kuo ne fai ʻi heʻene moʻui.
14 They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but no one goes to the battle, for my wrath is on all its multitude.
Kuo nau ifi ʻae meʻalea, ʻio, ko e fai ke teuteuʻi: ka ʻoku ʻikai ha niʻihi ʻe ʻalu ki he tau: he ʻoku nofo hoku houhau ki hono kakai.
15 “‘The sword is outside, and the pestilence and the famine within. He who is in the field will die by the sword. He who is in the city will be devoured by famine and pestilence.
ʻOku ʻi tuaʻā ʻae heletā, pea ʻoku ʻi lotoʻā ʻae mahaki fakaʻauha mo e honge ko ia ʻoku ʻi he ngoue ʻe mate ʻi he heletā pea ko ia ʻoku ʻi loto kolo, ʻe keina ia ʻe he mahaki fakaʻauha pea mo e honge.
16 But of those who escape, they will escape and will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, everyone in his iniquity.
Ka ko kinautolu ʻe hao ʻiate kinautolu ʻe hao pe, pea te nau ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo hangē ko e lupe ʻoku tangi, ʻe taki taha tangi ʻi heʻene kovi.
17 All hands will be feeble, and all knees will be weak as water.
ʻE vaivai ʻae nima kotoa pē, pea ʻe tatau mo e vai ʻae tui kotoa pē.
18 They will also clothe themselves with sackcloth, and horror will cover them. Shame will be on all faces, and baldness on all their heads.
Pea te nau ʻai foki ʻae tauangaʻa, pea ʻe taʻomia ʻakinautolu ʻi he ilifia, pea ʻe mā honau mata kotoa pē, pea ʻe tekefua honau ʻulu kotoa pē.
19 They will cast their silver in the streets, and their gold will be as an unclean thing. Their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’s wrath. They will not satisfy their souls or fill their bellies; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.
Te nau laku ki he hala ʻa ʻenau siliva, pea ʻe hoko ʻenau koula ke tatau mo e meʻa ʻuli: ʻe ʻikai faʻa fakahaofi ʻaki ʻakinautolu ʻenau siliva mo ʻenau koula ʻi he ʻaho ʻoe houhau ʻo Sihova: ʻe ʻikai fiemālie ai honau laumālie, pe mākona ai honau fatu: he ko e tūkiaʻanga ia ʻo ʻenau hia.
20 As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things therein. Therefore I have made it to them as an unclean thing.
Ko e matamatalelei ʻo hono teunga, naʻe ʻai ia mo e nāunau lahi: ka naʻa nau ngaohi mei ai ʻenau ngaahi fakatātā fakalielia mo ʻenau ngaahi meʻa kovi: ko ia kuo u tuku ia ke mamaʻo ʻiate kinautolu.
21 I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a plunder; and they will profane it.
“Pea te u tuku ia ki he nima ʻoe kakai muli ke maʻu fakakaihaʻa, pea ki he angakovi ʻo māmani ko e meʻa vete; pea te nau fakalieliaʻi ia.
22 I will also turn my face from them, and they will profane my secret place. Robbers will enter into it, and profane it.
Pea te u tafoki hoku fofonga ʻiate kinautolu, pea te nau fakalieliaʻi ʻa hoku potu tapu, koeʻuhi ʻe hū ki ai ʻae kau kaihaʻa ʻo fakakoviʻi ia.
23 “‘Make chains, for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
“Ngaohi ha maea ukamea: he ʻoku fonu ʻae fonua ʻi he toto ʻoe angahala, pea pito mo e kolo ʻi he fakamālohi.
24 Therefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they will possess their houses. I will also make the pride of the strong to cease. Their holy places will be profaned.
Ko ia ia te u ʻomi ai ʻae fungani kovi mei he hiteni, pea te nau maʻu honau ngaahi fale: te u ngaohi foki ke ngata ʻae fakaʻeiʻeiki ʻoe kau mālohi; pea ʻe fakaʻuliʻi ʻa honau ngaahi potu tapu.
25 Destruction comes! They will seek peace, and there will be none.
ʻOku haʻu ʻae fakaʻauha; pea te nau kumi ʻae melino, kae ʻikai ia.
26 Mischief will come on mischief, and rumor will be on rumor. They will seek a vision of the prophet; but the law will perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.
ʻE hoko ʻae kovi ki he kovi, mo e ongoongo ki he ongoongo; te nau toki kumi ha kikite mei he palōfita; ka ʻe mole ʻae fono mei he taulaʻeiki mo e fakakaukau mei he kau mātuʻa.
27 The king will mourn, and the prince will be clothed with desolation. The hands of the people of the land will be troubled. I will do to them after their way, and according to their own judgments I will judge them. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”
ʻE tangi mamahi ʻae tuʻi, pea ʻe kofuʻaki ʻe he houʻeiki ʻae malaʻia pea ʻe puputuʻu ʻae nima ʻoe kakai ʻi he fonua: te u fai kiate kinautolu ke tatau mo ʻenau anga, pea te u fakamaau ke totonu kiate kinautolu; pea te nau ʻilo ko au ko Sihova.”
